This place is awesome!! We ordered the crab dip in a pretzel bowl (to share), and it was everything you can imagine. There's also Old Bay seasoning on the table and it's the perfect finishing touch! Just such a great combo. They have a great lunch special, but I wasn't interested in anything on there. I ordered the rockfish tacos but I was already full from the crab pretzel bowl :/ The tacos were perfectly crispy and were a great complement with the cabbage salad. It came with rice and beans, but they were a little bland. I also ordered sweet potato fries, and they were wonderful! The service is awesome. Our server was attentive, provided recommendations, and was very funny. The best part of this place is the arcade room. Most machines are a quarter so you can have hours of fun for not a lot of money!! read more

I don't know how I've lived so close to this place and have never been! It's a fine seafood restaurant for sure, but it has a classic 80s style arcade!! Oh, the nostalgic feels... *swoon* Yeah, yeah, I'm a child of the 80s, so what? Maybe 90s is more accurate, though. But, they have games to match multiple generations, from Frogger and Pac-Man to Tekken and Mortal Kombat, and a TON of pinball machines from many decades! But, enough about the arcade (*sigh... miss it already). Onto the food. There was a wait, but it was a Saturday night, and the weather was finally starting to warm up. So, that was expected. Thank goodness for that arcade, right?! :D But, we didn't have to wait too long... not for the table, anyway. Drinks and soups came out quickly, too, and so did our kid's meal. That's the good news. Our actual dinners, though... closer to 45 minutes, which seemed really excessive. We wondered if we were skipped or forgotten maybe, but we noticed it wasn't just us. We also noticed other tables who were sat but hadn't been attended to yet just walk up and leave. Sad to see. Well, our server did check on us frequently, so we weren't without refills or at least a check up visit from time to time. And I will say this: when the food did finally arrive, it was piping hot. So, it wasn't sitting back there unattended for eons. I'm guessing the kitchen was just majorly backed up. Anyway, onto the food. I enjoyed the half-and-half soup (cream of crab and Maryland crab), but I'd probably order them individually going forward. The mixture make the creamy soup lose some of its texture and become more broth-like. Still delicious, but strange consistency. Both soups were quite delicious, though, and they tided us over until the entrees (finally) showed up. Our crab legs were... I guess a bit overcooked? I couldn't really tell. The meat was a tad on the dry side and hard to remove from the shells. It was good and full and all that... but not as clean to remove as you would hope for. Lotta work to get the crab meat out. The shrimp were PERFECTLY cooked, though! Maybe could use a touch more seasoning, but that's the beauty... you can always add more! Which we did. But, yeah, I think that's actually a good thing. They were nicely seasoned but don't overdo it. Let the customer do that. ;) Get the hushpuppies, too. Our server swore by them and she was right. They were sweet and crunchy little nuggets of goodness that we practically gobbled up. Overall, I'm super glad we went. I love the arcade (obvi) and the seafood was very good. I won't say it's the absolute best I've ever had, but it's still worth the visit. The shrimp were perfect, the hushpuppies are some of the best around, and the crab... probably just wasn't on its A game. It's well worth a repeat visit, though. read more

This place is pretty good. I was told about it a while ago. Got about a dozen of large male crabs for $125. Not too bad. I also like the coin arcade in thw back. The only down side to the place is, it's a good distance from where I live and the place could be a little bigger than what it is. It fills up very quickly. My friend was having a bad day and really wanted snow crab legs. So we picked Crabtowne. Well, based on our experience, the short story is, unless you want blue crabs (which are currently starting at $80/doz), you aught head elsewhere for a satisfying meal. As I mentioned, she got snow, crab legs. They were coated with old bay, which, anybody who frequently gets snow crab legs knows that's a bit unusual. But not a dealbreaker. However, her crab legs were obviously a bit old and dry, because the meat was extremely stringy, and very tough to remove from the legs. The meat was literally sticking to the inside. She also got a Bud Light and a side of coleslaw. I got a half pound of steam shrimp with a side of corn and coleslaw (sides are $4 each!). My shrimp were so hard to peel, that it was literally shredding the shrimp itself and I kept getting shell in my mouth. I've never had issues peeling shrimp like this before. It was like the shells were glued to the shrimp. The cocktail sauce was really good - had a lot of horseradish, which I love! The side of coleslaw that me, and my friend got was more like coleslaw soup. It must've been the last bit of the batch and nobody bothered to drain it. Luckily, they only gave us forks at the table, so that acted as a "strainer " of sorts lol Though I will say the whole cob of corn was delicious! But nothing I couldn't make at home for $1. My wife got the crab mac & cheese. Unfortunately, this was a disappointment as well. After she made it through the top layer of cheese, she discovered that the only thing that added flavor to the dish was the crab and the cheese. The bottom layer of pasta was absolutely flavorless. She didn't finish it, but I told her to bring it home so we could doctor it up. This was a very costly meal and I'm not about to waste it. So overall, the bill was $100 before tip and nobody left satisfied. The service from our server was mediocre. The group consensus was that it was an interesting place with an adult arcade attached, which was fun to watch. But we will not be returning. read more

If you love oysters, Crabtowne should be your first choice for the best oysters in Maryland. The oysters are the best! Oyster Fridays are the absolute best! Oyster shuckers on site. Watch your oysters open up right in front of you. Try the oyster on the half shell. Try to oyster stew for a warming comfort on cold days. Try the Oysters Rockefeller for a taste sensation! Or maybe you might love an Oyster Shooter! They go down so smoothly. No matter your favorite way to enjoy an Oyster, the service comes with a wonderful smile, a laugh or two and great the servers are so awesome! My visit today, I was blessed to have Angie and Angie taking care of me. They both are top notch! You cannot help but love them! The entire restaurant offers so much. Great atmosphere, great decorations, great employees (all of them) great drinks, great food, and there is such an awesome game room that the whole family can enjoy! The also have the Maryland State Lottery. What more could you ask for in a dining establishment? I would travel hundreds of miles to come back and I will have to as I am moving out of the area. Crabtowne has good seafood options and a wide array of arcade games and pinball machines ranging from 25 to 75 cents. There were a couple of games, such as the Mortal Kombat 2 and one of the pinball machines, that did not work and ate up my quarters, but nonetheless most of the games do work. In regards to the food, the crab mac & cheese ($14) was delicious. There was a good amount of lump crab meat on top. In my opinion, it would be nice to have a little texture on top, such as breadcrumbs, but overall there was good flavor and it was very cheesy. We also ordered one cluster of snow crab legs that took SO long to arrive. However, they compensated for the delay by giving us another cluster for free, which was a nice gesture on their end. I have noticed from previous images of the menu on Yelp, that the prices on some items have nearly doubled so I have posted images of their current menu as of June 2022. Drink prices are fair ranging from $5 for beer to $6-10 for cocktails. They have game-day specials, including a Baltimore margarita (Natty Boh with Old Bay rim) for just $2.50! They have two dining areas, with the games in between both. They also have plenty of parking and clean bathrooms, which is always a nice thing. I ordered food from Crabtowne on Monday 9/23. My part of my order was wrong but it was a genuine mistake on the new employee's part as two of the items on the menu have a similar name. We wanted a crabtowne sandwich with a crab cake and we received a crabtown burger with a crab cake on white bread. But there was also glass/plastic in my pasta salad which was the bigger issue. As I also consumed it. When I called and asked to speak to the manager, the manager did not introduce himself when he came to the phone & I had to ask for his name which is Donnie. I explained to him what was the issues were with my order. It did not sound sincere or concerned at all. When I arrived back at the store, he inspected the food and then immediately blamed the new employee behind him on the order mistake on her instead of being a proper manager and just apologizing for the lack of training or being there to aide the employee as when they was taking were taking our order over the phone, they acknowledged that they needed the managers help but the manager was "too busy" to aide her. I did not appreciate that interaction at all as you could see this changed the new employee's entire mood and seemed embarrassed. The manager did not offer a refund and still did not seem genuine or concerned about the glass/plastic. Instead he said "it's looks like a piece of the to go lids" and my reply was that my lid was intact and the glass was in my pasta salad not just sitting on top of the pasta salad if that was the case. It looks like something, maybe the spoon they use to scoop the pasta salad broke off or something. Regardless he was not apologetic. He did not offer a refund even a partial refund. As we were extremely inconvenienced by having to take two trips to the restaurant. He only offered us two pieces of cake and to properly make the crabtowne sandwich and replace my pasta salad with fries. In the end, my fries were never received. We only got our sandwich and the cakes. Upon leaving, I personally apologized to the new employee and wanted to let them know that in no way do I blame them or upset with them. The manager did not respond or handle the situation in no way a manager should have. I do not think I will return to this restaurant solely on the interaction I had with the manager. read more

Crabtowne USA is a gym located about five minutes from the temporary apartment I'm staying in here in Glen Burnie. Last week my husband and I went and the service was phenomenal. I landed on the crab legs crabcake a piece of cake and a few of the hush puppies. Moving forward my go to will be the crab legs. This past weekend I attempted to have some of the whole crabs it was a little hard for me to get into and I thought it was going to be a lot more meat but it wasn't. However I will say it was a cool experience and they had cake. The service is always good and this place just seems very down to earth. I will be back for sure! read more

Zero stars today, sadly, I have to give you one just to post this review. I walked in about 130 this afternoon and sat at the bar. After 10 minutes, i got up and walked out. Not one employee said anything to me. Not a general reading, not a "someone will be with you in a minute", not a "can I get you a menu", nothing. Not even when I got up and had to say, excuse me, to leave. Not even by the greeter that I walked by twice. I guess they have enough customers. I will happily look for a comparable fish sandwich, sorry haddock handheld, somewhere else. And thank you, I think I'll have Mexican food for lunch today. read more

This was my very first crab restaurant visiting Maryland, and I picked a good one! I wanted my first experience to be a really good one and I saw good reviews on the Yelp so I suggested this to my party and off we went. My group was from California oh, but we were being hosted by a marylander who knew good crab. I ordered the crab balls, and the crab chowder cup. The crab chowder was so good I was so happy it was my first experience. The crowd bowls were also very tasty, and are for people who wanted something a little bit less than the crab cake. My friends ordered the crab Burger and just so you know that means a hamburger patty and a crab patty! It was a monster. Also I got to try a hushpuppy, and their sweet potato fries and both were equally delicious. I can say there was not one thing I sampled on the menu that I wouldn't want to eat again. If their food and excellent service wasn't enough you can walk next door into a huge vintage arcade! It had every game from my childhood and then some i d even know about. If you're a pinball machine person they had approximately 50 different machines to pick from. We spent approximately 3 hours at lunch today. A neighborhood classic - Crabtowne is my favorite place to dine in the Glen Burnie, maybe Anne Arundel. Great comfort food that hits the Maryland side of things, plus it has bits and pieces of every vibe I could want. The food - feels definitely part restaurant, part seafood here. Of course much of the focus come with anything crab-related per the name, from fried crab cakes to steamed seafood options. Think they added a new chef recently, and the menu's gotten changed up from other dishes such as pasta entrees and country fried steak. After maybe a dozen times eating there, I appreciate I always got something new that's still decent. I'm a big fan of oyster Fridays as well. The main room usually has a bunch of the games on TV, so it's a great place to come in an watch with some beers, cocktails, or a plate of crab dip fries. And if you get bored of that? Just walk through the hallway to see the amazing selection of arcade games. Definitely a blast from the past - with a variety that puts Dave and Buster's the shame. A good option for the kids, or if you want to escape your party and play some buzzed joystick moods. Staff has always been super welcoming when I'm in - so I'm glad this place is surviving with the times. Masks on when not seated, and tables are spaced out and marked clean before you get there. It may be a while before I feel comfortable gaming again, but 100% this is my safety pick for a good time for friends. read more

I've been to Crab Towne a few times now, for a variety of 'experiences' and my visits never disappoint. On-site free parking, with lots of spaces- they have three inside rooms options: the main dining area, the arcade area, and a back sidebar/extended restaurant area. Our first experience was for happy hour, where we sat at a high-top just near the bar, grabbed food, drinks, and spent a bit of time afterwards in the arcade. The staff at the bar were amazing. Super friendly-they treated us like we were a couple of locals they were happy to see again. Feeling adventurous they made me a Pina Colada even though it wasn't on the cocktail menu. I ordered the wings, which were massive-perfectly sauced, juicy and crispy at the same time. At HH they are 1/2off must-trys, with nice sauce options. We also had the fries and a wrap-all their food dishes were so delicious. After a few drinks we wandered around the arcade, which was a fun nostalgia filled night. Additional visits: we just went to grab drinks and spend our whole night in the arcade, wandering around drinking good brews competing for high scores-what a delightful place to spend a night. So I usually have nothing bad to say about this place because the crabs are really good for the price, super meaty and delicious. I'm a regular here at this point but this time i came in after work around 4 o'clock. Took some time for someone to greet me but that wasn't as bad as when i asked my server for butter while she was walking past me. It's possible she didn't hear me as she was speaking with the hostess about a table but I did say hey can I have another butter and followed with excuse me to get her attention but she kept walking. I said forget the butter and used what I had but it left a bad taste in my mouth. With the money I constantly spend here, I deserve to get what I am requesting. This was not the first time And towards the end I got the feeling they wanted to hurry up and get me out of there, whole process was very rushed. Crabtowne USA As kids we just called it Crabtown with the arcade games we would just get some fries and a coke and hand full of quarters to play all the arcade games!!! Now it's nice to go here and have some drinks,eat and play the arcade games with family & friends! The place has been remodeled from years ago it looks amazing! The staff is great very friendly and good at what they do, the food was awesome we got large male crabs tonight (so damn good) we got the crab dip over waffle fries wow yummy! Got the pac- man drink,the Raven, the orange crush, purple something they were all good! Had 10 people with us so we had many different food to try... hush puppy's,onion rings, mozzarella sticks,Rockfish, fish n chips I'm not sure the others but everything was so good! Great atmosphere! Craved fish + chips but was sadly disappointed. Fish of "fish n chips" came in a single fried filet lacking general seasoning, therefore lacking flavor. Coconut shrimp was not enticing once it left the restaurant. I'd recommend going to dine in on any night with ongoing specials. read more

Our friend from RI insisted that we had to stop by since he's a pinball fanatic. We spent a good hour and a half playing nostalgic games. The prices are reasonable and we all had a good time. How upsetting! (I was just out here last week for the first time with my spouse) I thought it would be a place that my family could come together and enjoy. Absolutely, NOT! We came in a group of seven. Apparently, since last week the rules have changed. And, they don't seat groups more than six. I say that because when I was here last week there was literally a group of 8 plus people seated in the same area. Clearly, all together which gave me the impression that this would be the spot for me and mine. Today, SMH they chose not to accommodate one and lost seven. We came out here in the inclement weather to show love to what we thought was a family establishment and you really turned us away just not to seat one more person. The seventh was a child at that. You were willing to seat us tables away from one another but it what impossible to seat us side by side and there were tables available. That's crazy to me. Jacelyn, I understand customer service can get overwhelming to someone who lacks managerial experience. Your attitude is repulsive. Your own staff agreed with me, as you made me wait for at least a pinch of respect. In my opinion, your explanation was absolutely an insult to your hired staff. You literally stood there and said to me that even in training your current staff they aren't able to handle a large group properly because it's too much for them. (That was the reason for the rule) Like what? You would think while we are still experiencing a pandemic you would be eager to show people why this would be an establishment to continue to support. I normally don't stay for explanations as I simply take my business else where but, I seriously needed to make you spend some time on me as you felt perfectly okay with wasting mine. This place is great! The parking is kinda small and not the best so it gets pretty crowded on the weekends. It is not the best decorated but it is clean and the service is good! Came for their oyster Friday deal and it did not disappoint. Great prices and super fresh! Also got their fish and chips and it was ok. The coleslaw was average but the fish tasted really good! I didn't care for the style of breading they did. I prefer beer battered fish. The portion was huge tho! I'd come again. I'm not sure how their other food is but saw others get their crab dip fries and fresh steamed crabs and it looked really good! read more

Wifey was craving some crab after work and being new to the area we of course used Yelp which led us to this spot. Walking in there is a big bar area with a couple TVs and a dining area. This is a come as you sre type of place which I dig. We were greeted and promptly seated. Our waitress Dawna, was fantastic and gave some recommendations. We got some honey BBQ wings as an app and they were huge, it can be a person's meal by itself. We ordered a couple of mules, which were good and I got the trio (crab cake, haddock, shrimp) with slaw and fries and my wife got a crab cake with a claw and hush puppies. The wait wasn't long at all and everything came out well, it was hot, tasty and the portions were large. We also got the peach cobbler cake which was so good. They have a local person who bakes cakes and she brings in whatever she bakes so there are always 3-4 different selections. There is also a game room and another bar next door that is all connected. Next time we come the kids will be with us and after dinner we can play some games. :) My two suggestions would be to spend $1k and buy about 5 x 40-43" TVs as the ones they have are very old, small, and some looked like they didn't work. You definitely will have a hard time trying to watch a game. The second thing would be to have wet naps, if you serve wings this is a must. :) though they do have a sink by the bar you can use to wash your hands. read more

I've been to Crabtowne USA twice over the past 3 years. We go here because it's conveniently near I95 and serves Maryland Blue Crabs. The best thing is that you don't need to drive to the crab shacks closerto Chesapeake Bay to get your crabs. The restaurants is a medium sized restaurant, with perhaps 10 to 15 tables and a bar, all indoors. As a big bonus, there's a 1980's-style arcade attached to the restaurant. You could play games there for a quarter and they'll text you when your table is ready. My kids loved the arcade, especially the pinball machines. On our second visit, it was a bit different from our first visit. On our first visit, we could order a dozen crabs based on size. However on this visit, they said we could order a dozen but the crabs would be various sizes. The only differentiation choice we had was the gender of the crabs. A dozen cost us $35, so we decided to get a dozen of each gender. When the crabs came, were were very happy with the selection. The males were definitely bigger in both claws and meat, but the females had better tamale, had eggs and more sweeter flesh. All crabs came steamed and covered in Old Bay. Luckily for us, they didn't go crazy on the Old Bay, which makes it too salty. Our only appetizer were fried oysters. We loved them because they were the oversized type, filled with briny ocean flavor. Our waitress was super attentive and came back several times to make sure everything was alright. I love coming here whenever we drive by. The convenience factor is great, but also the friendly and entertaining atmosphere is a huge plus, especially the gaming. I wish we had one in Florida! The concept is pretty clever and the Blue Crabs were so good. Especially the waffle fries with crab... Demolished it! The cakes are HOMEMADE and Savory!!! We had a blast playing on the video games, definitely burned some calories off in there. Our waitress was superb and kind enough to give us a little tutorial on how to crack the shells efficiently. My family and I decided to come to Crabtowne on a whim, we were in the mood for some all you can eat crabs. Unfortunately the deal was over because they were out of crabs, but this wouldn't stop us from ordering some good food! Our waiter gave us a useful tip, call again if you want all you can eat crabs, cause they go by quickly. Now you might think our experience was ruined, but Crabtowne has a wide selection of delicious food. Not to mention the wide selection of arcade games! Who doesn't love arcade games?! Most were only $25 cents, I could sit and play those games all day long without spending over $25 bucks. Note: If you see Rob at #1 on the tapper leaderboard, that's me. We ordered an appetizer, chicken tenders, mozzarella sticks, and onion rings, plus a few dipping sauces. A good way to start off our meal. Next, I ordered the Cream of Crab soup... which wasn't up to my standards. But I think it may have been influenced by personal preference too. For my meal I ordered the fried shrimp and added on a crab cake. Wow! The meal was so good, the fries were well seasoned and the shrimp... gosh it was mouth watering. I've never really eaten much here other than fries. My review is based entirely on the game room and bar. This place has an entire pinball and old school game arcade! It's pretty unique in the area and we love coming here. The beer pitcher prices are decent and they have a rotating variety of new and old pinball games which is amazing. They also have a touchtunes jukebox in the arcade area which makes it extra fun to play music and spend a while playing pinball and having some beers with friends here. I miss the days of arcades being more prevalent so it's fun to have an option like this in the area. The restaurant itself seems a little dingy but they added a new wing on one side recently, not sure if that's just a bar or like an event space or something though. read more
