The setting under the big tree with string lights was charming and made for a perfect sunny summer afternoon. We started with the bruschetta, which was fresh, bright, and nicely finished with a balsamic drizzle. For our main dishes, we ordered two versions of the Linguini alla Checca: one loaded with large, perfectly grilled shrimp and the other topped with seared ling cod. Both pastas were light, flavorful, and beautifully executed with sweet cherry tomatoes, fresh basil, and generous shaved parmesan. The seafood was cooked just right and really stood out. We also shared a con carne pizza piled with Pepperoni, Fennel Sausage, Salami, Pancetta, Mozzarella, and Goat Cheese. YUM!!! It had a great crust with nice char and tasted fantastic. Everything arrived hot and clearly made with care. The service was friendly and attentive, and dining on the patio was a real highlight. If you're in Poulsbo and looking for solid Italian food in a relaxed outdoor setting, Sogno di Vino is an easy recommendation. We'll definitely be back.

Dinner was reasonably priced, and each dish we had was wonderful. Our waitress was incredibly attentive without being hovering - an art form if you ask me - and even made sure to wish my wife a happy birthday. I liked the vibe and food more than the wife did, We are in Poulsbo only a couple of days so we probably won't return, but if we were here longer I would lobby for a return.

The ambiance at Crabtree remains one of its strongest qualities, and our server, Patricia, was an absolute professional--friendly, attentive, and clearly doing her best. Unfortunately, her efforts couldn't make up for the subpar food quality. Every dish at our table was served lukewarm at best. One meal arrived completely cold and, even after being sent back, returned only slightly warmer. This is not just disappointing--it's a food safety concern. Meals should be served at SafeServ-compliant temperatures, and not one of ours met that basic standard. What's more concerning is that this appears to be a recurring issue, not an isolated incident. Several recent reviews describe the same problem, which points to a deeper failure in kitchen oversight. It gives the impression that ownership has taken a hands-off approach to operations, allowing these standards to slip unchecked. Until there's meaningful change in how this restaurant is managed, I can't recommend Crabtree to others. For a safer and more satisfying meal, I suggest looking elsewhere. read more

Took 15 mins for someone to come to our table. 30 mins for drinks to arrive after placing order. One hour and 10 mins for food to arrive after placing order. Also they would not allow check to be split for a party of 8. After complaining to manager no compensation was received and they seemed not to care. They have been open for a couple months now so there are no excuses for the poor service and management. We are never coming back. read more

For first course, my wife had the Carrot, Orange & Ginger Soup ($12) and I had the Toscano Salad ($15). Both were quite tasty. The soup was a brothy blend with a nice gingery flavor and my salad was arugula loaded with pear slices, hazelnut pieces, basil, and a number of fairly large chunks of salty pecorino cheese. Only downside for me was the dressing was rather meh; tasted the oil, but not enough vinaigrette. Both came with a slice of flavorful, crusty toasty bread. For our main course, my wife had the Korobuta Pork Loin ($32) and I had the Cioppino ($38). The pork came with what was called a butternut squash, fennel stuffing, broccolini and apple sauce. The pork was very flavorful but not cooked as my wife requested (she wanted no pink) and it just wasn't what she was expecting...it was larger and more steak-like. She thought it would be kind of rolled with the stuffing inside. Also said she didn't find much squash or fennel in the "stuffing". My cioppino was excellent! The tomato base was lighter tomato and more brothy than I've had on most cioppino...and delicious. The bowl was loaded with clams, mussels, shrimp, large sea scallops, and white fish. Unfortunately, two clams and a mussel never opened their shells. We washed the food down with a bottle of Lobo Hills WA Gewurztraminer ($38), which was tasty, but a bit over chilled, initially hiding the aromas and flavors. I felt that for our $200+ check the restaurant might have provided a tiny dessert gratis for my wife's birthday, but no. They brought her the tiny tooth picked flag that said Happy Birthday, that would have been placed in a dessert had we bought one. Thought that was a bit cheesy. Service from Luke was great. He was very attentive, but not overly so. And the old house is very welcoming, though it can get pretty loud due to all hard wood acoustics. They do have outdoor dining too.
