Listen, I'm not saying this place is difficult to find. But if it weren't for the big sign just beyond the actual building itself, I'd have blinked once and missed it completely. Anyways, Crack'd Kitchen totally lives up to its namesake, for every single egg product here utilizes (wait for it).....REAL cracked eggs!! This may seem like a rudimentary feature. But when you take into consideration how many short-order breakfast places rely on liquid or processed egg, things like this are graciously appreciated by those of us with a palate above that of a seven-year-old. So, I had an opportunity to try this place out both to-go and dine-in. Right upfront, I will say the food is far superior when enjoyed dine-in style. Given the distance from my house, I can aptly say we'll be mostly opting for dine-in (unless the dining area is hella crowded). For to-go, I tried the Country Breakfast whilst the dine-in meal was one of their sammiches; The Basic, to be precise. Overall, both were little short of greatness in their own ways. Though, I made a few casual observations. As mentioned earlier, this stuff is way more enjoyable inside the restaurant. Ergo, I probably should have reversed which meal I ordered when. Despite that minor setback, I think I actually liked the Country Breakfast more than the sammich. Whilst the former carries decently well as a to-go plate, the latter could have benefited from some seasoning on the eggs. I guess that's why they also offer sandwiches with various special sauces. Not gonna lie....I am slightly curious about their honey-sriracha sauce. One day I shall be brave enough to fancy it. One other complaint I have about the platter specifically: you only get half as many hashbrowns with the meal. For....some reason. Meanwhile, I ordered a side of hashbrowns with my sandwich and it came with six. I would assume that'd be the standard across the board so....make it make sense? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Btw....I should probably mention the only reason I'm stuck on this point is because the hashbrowns themselves are amazeballs! They don't even need ketchup, but comes with it if you fancy that sort of thing. A few other housekeeping deetz: their gender ambiguous restrooms are located toward the back entrance. There is also complimentary water for folks dining in. So, yeah. We'll certainly be revisiting this place from time to time. Perhaps I'll even try a couple of over-easy eggs at some point. Till then, Crack'd Kitchen and Coffee in Salem gets 4 cracked eggs with bacon and beautifully seasoned hashbrowns out of 5.

We had a wonderful breakfast at the new Crack'd in Salem. We like that it is more of a casual take out place- we chose to eat outside since it was spectacular spring day. We each had a Baha burrito which were huge! I liked my iced tea and they make the iced coffee to order...cream with tonz of sugar! Order was ready in a few short minutes and service was friendly. We shall return!

Perfection!! Left Maryanns diner on a Sunday because the wait was intolerable! . Found this place on Yelp and decided to give it a try. Best food and impeccable service. Beautiful presentation. The owner even came out to chat with us. Ordered Surfside Burrito , Country Classic and Double Chocolate Shakes. So good. Forget Maryanne's . This is our new favorite. read more

I have Celiac disease, and it is so hard to find a place that really accommodates safely. So many places include gluten free options for fad diets, but when you arrive they warn you that they cook their GF food is actually not safe because it's mingled with gluten products or fried in the same oil. So I really, truly appreciate places like Crack'd, who prepare their food separately, make sure all their staff know exactly what is and isn't safe, and carefully label their dishes. Everything we had here was safe and delicious: breakfast sandwiches that were perfectly prepared, hash browns that were as good or better than the ones I miss from pre-diagnosis, burgers that were generous and well made. Everything is clean and bright, with lots of outdoor seating and nice small tables inside, and everyone who works there is helpful and friendly. So nice to not worry about one meal while traveling! read more

Coffee is ok but way over priced, $4+ for a plain coffee with milk. The açaí bowl tasted ok but was melted and the presentation caused all of the ingredients to be mixed. Had the Deano burger, basically a double stacked cheese burger with their own sauce blend. It came with home made potato chips and both were tasty. With a ice tea the whole bill was $18 and change. Waited only a few minutes and the service was good. Yeah, I'll be back! read more

I tried the steak and egg sandwich and was very happy with it. The steak was like a steak tip and marinated. It had a delicious sauce which you will need extra napkins for, but worth it. This sandwich filled me up for most of the day. I also had a 32 oz ice coffee. I like that I can get an extra large ice coffee here and it was very good. read more

OUTSTANDING food and customer service! I work close to the Salem Crack'd, and have ordered from both locations several times. The food is real, wholesome and delicious, and service is always excellent; But what prompted me to write this review was my most recent experience. I placed me and my coworker's lunch order with Crack'd via Uber Eats. As the time for delivery was approaching, I was not receiving any updates from UE on the delivery of my order. I then received a call from the owner of Crack'd. He informed me that UE was not able to locate a driver for my food, and that he had reported the issue to UE. He then asked where the food was going, and informed me he would have a staff from the restaurant deliver the food. In no time at all, the food was delivered, and much enjoyed by me and my coworkers. It is very pleasing to do business with a company that is willing to go so above and beyond for its patrons. I cannot say enough for the positivity of all my interactions with Crack'd, and will definitely be returning for more great meals and exceptional service. read more

So happy to have Crack'd in the area! We've had two carry-out orders already and will absolutely be back on a regular basis. Everything we've ordered has been delicious and very filling - breakfast sandwiches, burritos, pancakes, hashbrowns... We LOVE breakfast and this is a definite go-to spot for some delicious food with fresh ingredients, and excellent coffee options. With COVID and a busy schedule I love the ease of their online ordering and quick pick up process. Looking forward to the outdoor seating and trying out the lunch options! read more

Just picked up a take out order, staff was very knowledgeable and friendly. My family and I will definitely be back to sit outside on the patio. Our drink order was taken shortly after arriving (regular drip coffee, decaf, juice, water) and was quickly delivered. Cream is on the table. Waitress came over pretty quickly to take our order. There seem to be a few regulars who chatted with the waitress and ordered their 'usual'. This spot has been here a few years and is showing some wear but is clean and service is friendly. I wasn't impressed with my choice of breakfast sandwich. The toasted english muffin was floppy. Usually when an english muffin is toasted it gets a bit of structure but not this one. Plenty of cheese on there. The egg is not seasoned when cooked which can be a good thing. Salt and pepper on table to season. The coffee is good! This is a nice neighborhood breakfast place. Junk everywhere; open boxes partially emptied, random items propped on chairs rendering them unusable. Dust on every surface. Across the back, a giant black cloth tacked to the wall with random racks. Looks like a school bulletin board that's just being started. They apparently have musicians some nights and all the musical equipment is pushed against the wall. There's a large cushioned seat with an enormous banner filled up on to it, so no one could sit on it. I can't have caffeine because of a heart condition. The owners insist that their coffee is "naturally low in caffeine" and has "half the caffeine of most decaffeinated coffee". So I foolishly had a cup and suffered with palpitations for several days. A caffeine sensitive friend had a similar experience. We had bagels and they were just meh, nothing special. So I'll probably never eat there again and won't have their coffee (caffeine) but we'll probably buy the coffee for my husband and other friends. It's very good.

So excited for this new location to officially open up here in town!! I've heard great things about this place from their original location in MA, and everything we tried from our first visit was so delicious! Their menu has a good variety of options, and of what we tried first, our favorites were definitely the Açaí Super Berry Bowl, Baja Burrito, and "The Basic" egg, cheddar, and bacon on Brioche! Oh, and the coffee!! So many flavor options, and really really good! A little sweet when you order it full throttle, but was a great weekend treat for me! Plus, they have a good setup for ordering in advance and pickup with limited contact; or you can order and take-out for COVID safety. And the owners are so nice, too!
