The Brussels sprouts needed to get cooked longer too. Overall it wasn't bad but not enjoyable, but corporate needs to change it back to the old chicken recipe.

Cheyenne was our server and she did a good job! She was friendly, professional and knowledgeable! Cheyenne brought us complimentary biscuits and butter (or maybe another type of sauce) that my Sisters said were delicious! They were extra fluffy and baked correctly. We three shared the Steak Egg Rolls that were actually really good, very creamy and rich, and unique. I did not try the sauce/sauces that came with them. They were served at the correct temperature and a nice, rich appetizer that I would recommend! Sister #1 ordered the "Stoney River Breakfast Skillet" which was attractively plated in a skillet and appeared to be the correct temperature and her eggs were cooked to her liking. She was off put by the cheddar cheese that topped the skillet off - it looked very artificial (meaning bright orange yellow) and as if, instead of cheese, the egg yolks were sort of sitting atop the skillet. She's not a huge complainer and she finished the skillet. Sister #2 ordered the shrimp and grits, described as "...Cajun sauteed shrimp, Worcestershire cream reduction, bacon, cheese grits." The plate looked nice; however she said the shrimp were "beyond rubbery and more of the texture of shoe leather." I kept encouraging her to send it back and order something else and she said she said she was "hungry and it is edible." She did say the grits were excellent. Sister #1 and I tasted the sauce of the shrimp and grits and both of us found it very "tomato flavor forward and oddly sweet." Christine's lunch was a disappointment. Also, she should have sent the dish back, in my opinion, I'm sure Stoney River would have made it right. I got the small filet, I think it was seven ounces, cooked medium rare with asparagus. You get one side with this dish which is fine. The steak, once again, was cooked perfectly and seasoned perfectly with no need to add any salt/pepper and it was nicely seared! The steak was delicious! We had wine, which was good, too! We did not get dessert and were offered more "biscuits" to go (which seemed odd to me, it was like 2:30 in a very hot afternoon and I wasn't interested in carting biscuits around in a hot car); however, it was a thoughtful gesture. Last comment I have is no fault of Stoney River's, it's a "Clift Farms" thing, at least the Development Fee is Clift Farms specific, I don't know the "wine tax" fee. I really dislike fees. My $200.00+ bill included a three percent "development fee" of $5.58, a "Wine Tax" of $4.18 (I've never seen that before, what is a wine tax?) and regular "Sales Tax" of $6.36. Once again I got a text message for both the Friday cancellation and Saturday booking. The automated replies made it convenient. We arrived a few minutes before or reservation and were seated right away. They were quick to respect my request for a nearby booth, as I have a disability walking. We ordered the steak appetizer roles that were outstanding! My wife ordered a Caesar salad that was huge, along with the filet with a baked potato. When I looked at the menu days prior, I was eyeing the shrimp and grits, but after seeing nearby tables entrees, I quickly ordered the ribeye. Our server, Jesstina was off the wall spectacular! Our appetizer came out quick, and our main course came out soon after we were done enjoying our appetizers. She made sure our every need was taken care of, and her attitude was as if we were her long time friends. We were there to celebrate our wedding anniversary of 23 years, and the dining experience was perfect! Spectacular service, an outstanding food selection and a 10 out of 10! The restaurant sits just a stone's throw from the ballpark where the Rocket City Trash Pandas play, so the whole place already has a fun, lively atmosphere before you even sit down. Now given the name "Prohibition," I half expected someone to knock on the door and ask for a secret password like it was 1927. Back in those days, enjoying a drink required secrecy, dim lights, and maybe a jazz band playing in the corner. Today, things are a little easier... though for this non-drinker, my order was simple: water on the rocks, hold the lemon. I prefer my water about 100 proof for maximum flavor. My boss and coworker grabbed seats at the bar while we looked over the menu. We kicked things off with the Pork Belly Burnt Ends and the Pork Bao Buns. Let me tell you, those Pork Belly Burnt Ends were an absolute masterpiece. They came out crisp and seasoned just right with a little spicy kick. Served with raw carrots, homemade pickles, and lettuce wraps to bundle those little jewels together--downright tasty. If food had a Hall of Fame, these would already have a plaque on the wall. The Pork Bao Buns were good as well, but they simply couldn't match the grand slam the Pork Belly Burnt Ends delivered. For my main course, I ordered the Smoked Wangs with the Jala Mango seasoning and a side salad. The wings were delicious--cooked and seasoned to perfection. Every bite was solid. No bootlegging required. Prohibition definitely hit it out of the park today. Between the great food, the great service, and the fun atmosphere near the ballpark, this place is a must-stop for locals or anyone just passing through Madison. Our waitress tried pretty hard to convince us to order dessert, so I'm guessing their sweets are just as flavorful as everything else on the menu. The only problem I had today? I couldn't finish my meal. I was absolutely stuffed. If this had been the 1920s, the only crime committed here would've been leaving food on the plate. Great food. Great service. It's small, and I think it may have had 2 little bistro style tables inside, but it may have had 3. There are several refrigerators on the floor with grab and go items such as a ground beef-based "John Wayne casserole," pimento cheese, various casseroles, maybe a 3-bean salad, chick salad, broccoli salad, and more. A stocked confection counter is where you order and pay. They had really cute Halloween cake "pops" for sale and their "sour dough" bread was on a small display on the right as you enter. They offer hot lunch specials daily Tuesday-Friday, 11-2 and a soup of the day at 6.49, ranging from said John Wayne casserole to chicken poulet and stuffing. We missed the lunch window and didn't purchase any of the grab and goes. The staff here are patient and friendly! Really nice! Sister and I each got a loaf or 2 of the sourdough, sister tried one of their confectionery items and said it was good. I also got two of their giant chocolate chip cookies for the hubs. The unanimous verdict on their sourdough bread is it is a good bread, especially for toasting; however, sourdough it is not. The bite I had was sweet and fluffy. Hubs and sister agreed it was delicious bread, just not sourdough. So, it's back to Publix for sourdough. Don't plan to eat in if you go to Suzannes, I told sister, "I guess most people get their lunch to go and eat it in the car, parked here, or back at work." Thanks, Suzzane's!
