I went to this Cracker Barrel on Sunday which is one of their busiest days. So, I was understanding at the time but now I just realized how gross the experience was. I ordered a large chocolate milk which is over priced I know. Anyway, she gave me the milk and I took a couple of sips. It was spoiled! I could not enjoy the food because I had spoiled milk taste in my mouth. It said it was expired on that same day! When I told the waitress she did not say sorry. Terrible customer service. We came in at peak business hours on a Sunday. We were seated within 15 minutes and we were promptly greeted by our server. It took them 15 to bring out my mom's meatloaf. They took 35 minutes to make a salad and 41 to make a BLT. They said the BLT took so long because they were trying to heat up the chicken and gave no explanation for the salad. Great full scale breakfast, my go to place. Rest of meals are very good but breakfast is best. Seating is very large and the restaurant is very popular and is crowded which sometimes results in waiting period. One knows this in advance but normally the wait is short. We love Cracker Barrel and dine frequently at this location, unfortunately tonight we did NOT enjoy dining with you guys. We came in and waited 10-15minutes which is pretty standard for this location not a problem there. After the waiterss (Megan) took our order we waited more that 30 minutes without a glimpse of a refill or food. As we looked around and saw that everyone else had their meal and two tables that had arrived at about time we had; had already eaten and left, I then went and asked about our order. The other waitresses had to go and find our waitress (Megan) who proceeded to touch my arm and say she understood and its almost done. After asking for a biscuit and or cornbread for my little guy to help keep him calm and having to wait another 5 minutes standing next to our table and it still not arriving we decided to cancel our order. We asked what looked like the manager for our ticket to pay for our tea. I assume they lost the ticket because we never got ut ans the manager said "Dont worry about it". Frankly, I am truly dissatisfied and disappointed with the waitress and management this evening. Its quite aggravating when you see a table of 6 kiddos and parents that arrive at the same time and they have eaten practically their whole meal (not to mention that they sent meat back and got a new one done with in the time I changed my son's diaper for the second time while waiting)and we dont so much as get a refill. Our waitress, Ms. Cleo, was so sweet! And the food was incredible! I couldn't even finish my breakfast, but my partner managed to down an entire half chicken, so... I went to breakfast with my son and daughter on October 27 and I ordered an egg white fried made with a farm fresh egg. When the waiter brought our food they prepared my egg white with a liquid instead of a farm fresh egg. I explained this is not what I ordered. The waiter went back to the kitchen and came back and said they couldn't prepare it. I asked for the manager (Rae), she said they would not prepare my eggs because that would waste a yolk. I said what is more important a customer or a 20 cent yolk. It's the yolk not customers. I waited to post this because I contacted their corporate office and I guess yolks are more important then customers because they have not even given me a call back on my complaint. read more

Cracker Barrel is my favorite place to eat breakfast food for breakfast, lunch or dinner. This location was pretty good on my last visit. It was a clean establishment. The food was well prepared and delicious. Cons: The server was grumpy. The food took too long to come out and it was not peak hours. And the server did not bring out complimentary biscuits. He forgot to bring my apple butter as requested. He didn't refill my drink even once. I'll give them another shot. read more

Cracker Barrels are all pretty much the same in terms of the menu, but I deliberately went to this one because it had the best reviews. The service was so fast and so friendly! It was fairly crowded on a Sunday morning, but the servers were very good about refills and anything I asked for. The food was great....although the coffee seemed a little watery, but no big deal. This place is the epitome of southern comfort cooking. Set in decades of nostalgia - checker boards, candy, coca cola decor - the country store has anything you could possibly want to purchase for your childhood self or your ambitious kitchen. As for the food, I come here strictly for the buttermilk pancakes. They manage somehow to be light, fluffy, and filling all at the same time, and have some sort of magical unicorn butter that makes it inexplicably better. They have alright lunch and dinner food, but you're wasting your time if you skip out on the pancakes. If you're not into comfort food, you might just enjoy sitting outside on a rocking chair and playing checkers with the locals as you gaze out on the great Texas landscape (by which I mean concrete highways.) I am a retail worker and Im a server as well. I work two jobs. Its Thanksgiving and i have to work at Macys at 430. I went to their website and put myself on the waitlist and it said a 50 minute wait and cant wait to see you... etc. Ok cool. Me and my bf get there 10 minutes before the time and they say the online isnt really working and we aren't on the list. The nice hostess goes to get the manager. The "manager" CARLOS is beyond rude to us telling us oh the online isnt working yall probably got "shot down" on the list and we would need to wait for the 50 parties before us. He had a smug attitude and handled the situation HORRIBLY. It seemed like he enjoyed telling us we would have to wait 2 hours? Its fine cause we left and went to Applebees of all places where service and food was great and I tipped 30%. I've made sure to tell all my social media friends to never visit this cracker barrel unless they would like to be disrespected by Carlos. Well I tried this place years years ago when I first moved to benbrook when I was a kid...And everything was either burnt,molded, or cold, and even the meat was under cooked. So I'm 19 and recently had a baby and as a treat my sister gave me a gift card with tons of places to choose from. And my mom thought it would be fun to try this place we hated years ago thanks to the lovely reviews from her coworkers. So we ordered online and upon arrival I wasn't really sure where to go so I walked until I found the register. This random guy came out with my food exactly at 7:30pm he was nice but didn't show me the food I hadn't even payed yet because I was waiting in line so I had to hold it.He didn't show it to me no one asked if I needed anything else. The lady checking me out didn't great me like she did the others. I payed I left honestly didn't have good expectations but this is the blandest food I've tasted. Like it doesn't even have salt or pepper on anything. And in the 5 minutes it took us to get home open it and chow down it was cold. My daughter who loves cheese burger and Mac b cheese didn't even like either. So I will never be trying this every agains. Especially for the price! I was kind of disappointed in this Cracker Barrel. First of all, the smell when we walked in. I understand people go to the restroom but DAMN. That's all we smelled. The service was good. The food quality was not so great. The mashed potatoes were cold and hard. Brown gravy tasted straight from a cheap mix. The white gravy was congealed. I've always looked forward to the fresh home cooked experience of a Cracker Barrel, but this location's food reminded me of like a Golden Corral. read more

I will never come back to this location. First the portions were really small i think one piece of bacon they divided in 2 and split it with 2 plates, second the wife was spreading some delicious gravy with sausage on her quarter size biscuit when a human hair decided to just jump in from nowhere. I talked to the manager and said well we can remake u the order, Of course not!! We were to disgusted!! On my plate she even said well i have to charge you for your plate since u have already eaten on the apples . Really??? I used to live in the area. So when business brought me back to the area. I decided to stay on the slow quiet side of the metroplex. Cracker Barrel the easy choice for a comfort meal when not wanting to go out. My first visit was Wednesday the 16th about 4 pm. The waitress and hostess Sheila was a delight she listened to my request and took them to heart. I ordered the new southern fried chicken with the bone in. Yeah. The bone was left in to long. The crisp crunchy exterior that most fried chicken has. Was hard like it had been microwaved repeatedly to wooden consistency. The chicken lacked flavor and was past the point of appetizing. So today the 19th I decided ok. Coffee and breakfast. The barre always had great breakfasts. Had being the key word. The eggs were cooked to order. The bacon was nice. But the main portion Mama's French toast. The French toast was gummy, chewy, nauseatingly so. 4 slices. Three left on my plate. The 4th wadded up in my napkin I kept giving it a chance hoping it would get better. The waiter? He was ok. A good waiter would have noticed the French toast and asked if everything was ok. But then again it is Saturday morning. Quantity vs quality. Get them in and out collect that dollar and Next!! I did get a second cup of coffee. After my meal was finished. Never did see the chocolate milk I had added on. But that is ok. I gave them two chances. If you decide bland tasteless undercooked or overcooked food is your choice. At least ask for Sheila. Good chain, one of my favorites except for the music hehe. I'm not a country music fan but... meh. On a serious note, I love their catfish, whether it's fried or spicy grilled. I also love their cheesy grits. Price is reasonable. One thing I always wondered though... Why no appetizers? Their country store is always awesome to browse through. They have hard to find candy, the kind of candy one remembers from childhood, some cool jackets, shirts... Etc. I've been here before. Nothing too stellar, but at least minimum of what you expect. This time I called in a breakfast order as a treat for my husband and I right before we were heading out of town. I showed up to receive my order only to find out they didn't even have my name or order written down anywhere. I left fuming after the manager tried to tell me, "It will be ready in 1 minute." We have gone to this location in Burleson for the past 6 yrs sometimes twice a month. Husband always ordered the "open roast beef sandwich" with white gravy. This time around the meal was brought with brown & white gravy when he only wanted white gravy. The waiter took it back and brought the same meal stating this is the way its made. No, we don't want brown gravy. The waiter took it back and the assistant manager came to the table and stated in so many words "we were wrong, the roast beef comes with brown & white gravy". We argued with the manager and said after 6 yrs we know how its brought out. He offered my husband another meal but declined. So my husband sat there with his ice tea while I and our 2 guests ate our meals. When the ticket was brought to us, it had on there his meal. The waiter said its up to the manager to take it off. Are you kidding, there is no way we are paying for a meal my husband did not eat. Finally the ticket came back with the meal taken off. Don't know what happened to this location, as there were all new employees including this assistant manager. If there was a change in how the roast beef is cooked then it should have been stated as such, not stating "we were wrong". What a shame it came down to this. Hate to try another Cracker Barrel as this may happen again. read more

Family and I decided to have a night out and we go into the store and it takes 15 minutes for a server to come to our table. when she finally comes over we get drinks, 10 minutes later order food and we never saw our server again our food takes 40 minutes and again we never saw a server. Ask for extra ketchup and extra gravy and our food was almost gone by the time we got our side condiments. Had to go to the kitchen doors to retrieve a box to go. I love Cracker Barrel but I will not be returning to this location. I ordered food to-go which is a pretty easy process and I love how I could pay when I got inside. However, it took OVER an hour for them to get my food! And I always allow 15 minutes past the time they say the food is ready because restaurants are busy places and I understand that. However I talked to the manager 3 times asking for the status of my order and it took forever! The kids working the counter couldn't care less. I could have sat down ate a meal and left before I got my order to go. Very disappointed. read more

Always slow!! There r so many things they could do to improve the service. I'd first start with training, not sure they do any at all. Learn to take care of the customer. I really love this place. I've always had a great experience here and the staff has always been friendly and courteous. The food is great if you like that down home southern cooking. It's always packed every time my family comes here and we still get in and out timely. I would definitely recommend the experience if you haven't visited before. Worst lunch service ever! Out of lunch special at 1;oo, offered no substitute.Ordered a burger, it came out with mealy tomato, no onion & 2 little pickle chips. Asked for more pickles & mayo. After about 10 min waiter finally returns. Ate one of the pickles. It was a sweet pickle!! Waiter says its the only kind they have!! I've never heard of sweet pickles on a burger.Disgusting!! Got the check & my plain old burger with NO fries cost more then the freaking lunch special!! I've always enjoyed breakfast at Cracker Barrel but i'll never eat lunch there again. To top it off when I asked to speak to management they had me waiting so long I had to leave or be late to work. read more
