I placed my first order for curbside pickup. I placed the order through Yelp, but it appears that they prefer you order through the CB website. I was disappointed to find that Diet Coke was not available to order abs I had to settle for Coke Zero...not the same. I was also disappointed that they were out of blueberry syrup as this is my favorite. Despite these two things the food was good, fresh, and well-packaged. They have changed the menu and gotten away from the country vegetables they're known for! No cornbread muffins, no turnip greens (except on Mondays) and no pinto beans! Our food was absolutely disgusting and inedible. The shrimp Creole was over cooked, the rice was crispy like it hasn't been covered and got dried up and was unchewable. I did not eat any of my food. The lady at the front will ask you how everything was, but right after she has you pay your bill, then she will do absolutely nothing about it, except writing it down on her long list of complaints for the night. Place was dirty...floors and tables left while staff stood around. Our waitress was so out of her element, she wasn't even trying. I ordered biscuits and gravy with sausage, husband ordered eggs, ham ,and biscuits.. she brought his on a platter. I received sausage on a saucer ,gravy in a cup and biscuits in a basket. Now, what was I supposed to eat on? I just looked at the waitress, she looked at me and then walked off. Never came back. I had to eat mine on a tiny saucer. We had to wait 20 minutes after finishing, for our ticket ...after she walked by three times, and then stood talking to friends and just staring around at customers. Food was sub par. Ham was only warmed, not cooked thru. I have never been served this bad, or had to eat on a saucer. Will not be back....so sad because this was one of our favorite places to eat. I understand it is a busy time of year with the holidays around the corner. I placed an online order at 8:30 am to be picked up at 11:30am, one would think the order should be ready and waiting at the cashier's desk. NO, IT WAS NOT!!! I waited 20 minutes for my order. My daughter ordered pineapples and when they got to our table, she told me they tasted like onions. I also ordered 2 kids cheeseburgers with a side of fruit and I asked the waiter if he put 2 kids cheeseburgers with 2 sides of fruit, he said yes and proc to walk away with the order. We waited about 20-25 min for our food, when the waiter came back with our food there was only one kid's cheeseburger and 2 sides of fruit, I told the waiter that we were missing 1 of the 2 kids cheeseburgers I ordered. The manager, came over and said they would give us two different cards with two free meals on each one for the inconvenience. We told them that we did not want that. The waitress also had an attitude, and it's not like my partner not to tip, but he later told me that he did not tip because of the attitude towards me. And because of the fact that they tried to push a plate on me to keep because they said that it would be paid for anyways, but I said I would not eat it anyways. We gave them to homeless people on the street last night.(the free meal cards). They also seemed like they blamed short staffed but most of this could of been avoided had they kept us updated. And not had an attitude with me when i wanted to notify them about the wait. my kids were starving and we just wanted to go out for once. realized this is why i cook for my family and avoid situations like this. Dont tell me one thing and then another. We said we wernt coming back, handing out free meal cards for a place we disliked was unnecessary. I refused the card and they pushed it. Just to take back them saying they would take care if the bill. 3 cards with 2 free meals on them. Costs way more than a $55 table. We could and we did pay but like I said DONT TELL US ONE THING AND THEN ANOTHER. And own up to your own shit and not blame others. Changing your attitude when the bill is due wont earn you a tip. We were never given our basket of bread--even when our food came. Our drink were only replenished after we made a request--and our food only came out at our request. I had gotten there a few minutes early and had called them to tell them I had arrived early and was ready for it to be delivered to my car once 4:30 came around. I had ordered a Family meal and some sides to go with it. After I got off the phone I was patiently waiting for my food. (I had called at 2:30 and placed my order then) Another lady was pulled up next to me and I saw one of the Women who work the register come out and give her a big pack of food, and I couldn't help to wonder if that had been mine that she gave away. 4:30 came around and my food had not been delivered yet. After 20 minutes, the same woman who works the register in there comes out again and asked me what I had ordered and it is shown that I had not paid. They didn't ask me to pay when I was on the phone, so I thought they would've brought an iPad out or a wireless POS register. Nope! I had to walk in there and pay for it and potentially expose myself. After that I had waited in my car for an additional 30 minutes and called again asking where my food was. They had responded that it was a big order. I am very rational when it comes to these type of situations and considering the virus has made everyone go into a frenzy, but I had called two and a half hours before to place my order. Finally a man came out with "MY" food, which they got my name wrong, I had him read off my order, and it sounded right -- but my name is not Megan. So I shrugged it off, and went home. Oof, where do I start. Well I have to say I really dislike leaving poor reviews, but I feel like this store has a quality issue or had one this morning at least. I write this to make the manager aware so they can address it. The only reason I even gave two stars was because the staff there is so lovely. Literally everyone we encountered were so kind. We ordered the beignets to start with and most of them were undercooked but edible. One was almost all dough in the middle. My husband and I both ordered coffee. My latte was okay, but the coffee was awful. I'm not sure if that pot was made incorrectly but tasted like dishwater with a faint coffee flavors, which was not good. Our food came out and it was obvious everything had been sitting there for a while. The egg was dry and cold. Chicken tenders were room temperature. It was overall a bad experience. We mentioned the undercooked beignets to our waitress and she was apologetic. To me, the waitstaff don't get paid enough to handle a problem that needs to be addressed by a manager. Cracker Barrel is predictable, but sometimes you run into those things that make you wonder what manager is on duty. We felt like we were in a bar, the music was so loud we were yelling our order to the waitress and it took a few tries to get it correct. We came to CB because of the RV parking and many great options of food, bit the RV/Bus parking was full of cars, there were plenty of other spots but the RV parking here is on the side instead of in the back like other CB and so people park on the closest spot. The one spot that was open had a tree that the limbs down and made it difficult to park without tearing off the air conditioner. read more

I remember these places while driving between Chicago and Kitty Hawk, NC with my parents on vacations as a kid. It was always special to stop at a Cracker Barrel and stay at a Holiday Inn! Not much has changed here. Their front porch is still lined with the rocking chairs for sale ($149.99), the country store in front with a lot of stuff you don't need, but just have to have! I don't think the menu has changed a lick. There isn't much health food here, although this morning I had granola pancakes and turkey sausage in an effort to be good. Food was brought out within about 5 minutes, and everything was hot. They did forget the syrup, and my waitress was regaling a table about her dogs and I had to wait about 15 minutes. By then pancakes were cold :-((. But that's ok. CB's are family places, and I'm sure the staff is encouraged to connect with the customers! Table had not been wiped off when I arrived, and coffee was not checked on even though the place was pretty empty, so I can't say this place is one of the better Cracker Barrels I've been to. I've always associated CB with breakfast, but they are a full service restaurant and have daily well-priced specials. For breakfast, you can pretty much get all you can eat for under $15 including tip. Lunch and dinner would up that to $20 and $25 respectively. Plenty of private parking at this location, and in general it's very clean and organized. I will be back. If you are over 45 and love the nostalgia feeling, stop in ;-)) read more

This evening I discovered the darker side of this franchise. According to Wikipedia, the 1990's had a Supreme Court decision to reverse discrimination. In 2002, a similar legal action to accept gays. Did you know the company started in Lebanon? Lebanon Tennessee, but it still sounds like a safe harbor for Hezbollah. Met a friend here for brunch. I hadn't been to. Cracker Barrel in years. The were super busy on a Saturday around 11 but we still got seated pretty quickly. I got the CFS with gravy on the side as I knew I would not be able to eat it all and didn't want it to get soggy. I have to say it was well seasoned, well breaded and well fried. Tender and juicy and not too much bread. The grits were a little underdone, but my overeasy eggs were just right. This review is kinda complicated and the experience was hella crazy. Poppie and I went in for breakfast and for all the wrong reason the cooks couldn't get the order right after the 3rd time. "Yes"!, the 3rd time. Our waitress (Meme) after having to deal with my divalish attitude just lost it and began dropping shit all over the place, becoming very emotional. Now, I know that I can be a true diva at times but never have I had that effect on a woman, Okaaay!! Meme tried explaining what was happeing and after we tried to console her with letting her know that were not upset with her she still seemed to have a red face and teary eyes. Poor thing just couldn't seem to get over it. When the Manager came over with apologies and making sure everything get fixed right we finally began to savor the down home goodness of our breakfast. Everything was very good. After we finished and our waitress came over I couldn't help but noticed how upset see appeared and that touched me so I had to give her a hug and blessing. She provided 5 star service even after enduring everything she still made her customer were taken care of. Even though Pops and I have not been here for breakfast, I bet it tastes better than the dinner we had here. Pops and I were sat down rather quickly. There weren't too many people so that entitled us to get somewhat good service. And that's what we got, a polite server brought us water without asking and was patient with our order. Everything seemed all well and good until we got our food, however. We had two burgers with fries. Thoughts? The bun had the texture of pillow stuffing. The cheese looked fake, obviously processed, and resembled as plastic. The meat, bland yet had a somewhat good texture. It was a completely underwhelming burger. As for the fries, they were mediocre at best. Would have preferred a bit more, but I suppose it was enough for its price. The atmosphere was pretty if I was honest. It just screams southern hospitality. But I might restrict it to a southern hospital because the food was the epitome of blandness. Overall Pops and I felt welcome here, but not satisfied.
