Ok lets do this review ! So we were on a vacation and wanted something simple for the last day of breakfast before leaving town and chose cracker barrel as they have few in our home state now. We arrived with a party of 8 and we're seated and taken care of extreamly well. We were given constant attention and refills without having to ask for anything. For me personally to give 5 stars the food has been great along with the service bathrooms and atmosphere. The bathrooms were spotless and clean, the atmosphere was welcoming and peaceful and the service was on par. I have photos of some of the items ordered we kept it simple to classics and it did not disappoint at all. The food was hot fresh fast delicious and all the above kudos to the chefs in the kitchen that day ! We left town on a high note for this alone and made it an even better experience. Thank you cracker barrel for having high standard for your classic diner great job to staff as well for being on point at every transaction and question. My husband had the fried chicken meal and I the grilled chicken meal with their complimentary biscuits/ cornbread which were all delicious and cooked perfectly! The Service was good. The kitchen was very slow, we waited a long time, but the food turned out well.

The hotel didn't have a great breakfast so we came here for breakfast one morning. The food was definitely reasonably priced considering the area is completely overpriced. Solid place to eat and great fresh quality. I got the steak tips in garlic and eggs and toast with biscuits and gravy. 2 decent sized breakfast for around 30 bucks. If you need an affordable breakfast I recommend this place. The service is fast and friendly they made sure we never saw the bottom of our cups and it's just a country casual diner. I wanted to stop by at a Cracker Barrel because it feels like a quintessential road-trip thing to do and also for the Americacore theme. I know it's not exactly known for having good food and I was ok with that. And it met my expectations. Decor was exactly what I was looking for, and it has a fun gift shop area. I actually did enjoy my chicken & dumplings, but the corn was not good even for out-of-the-can standards. One person in our party had to send his fried chicken back because it was so dry like leftovers. But 3/4 of us enjoyed our meals for what it was. Just good comfort food. Portions were large. Sweet tea needed additional sweeteners. Server was attentive. She had several elderly talkers and body language was saying I have tables I need to serve. This location is off the main strip when driving through Branson. I like the spread out parking lot and winding driveway that allows you to escape slightly from the main strip traffic. Seating was easy, and ordering was fairly simple. I ordered the Biscuit Benny, a breakfast item served all day with hash and apples, just how its portrayed on the menu picture. Its an older crowd that that's Branson for you. The Benny had a nice flavor, based on the green onions and tomato relish. Hash and apples were great additions to the Benny entrée. I was pleasantly surprised by the fabulous taste and service at this Cracker Barrel restaurant. read more

I really enjoy eating here and visiting the store, there's always lots to see. The staff is always very friendly and it's always very clean. There was a bit of a wait time which we didn't mind since we love walking around looking in the store. We bought some vintage candy and soda. Our waitress was very friendly and patient, the food is always so delicious. I love their biscuits. Their country fried steak is always to die for, my daughter ordered country fried pork chop this evening and it was very tasty. Definitely recommend it. This place has steadily gone downhill over the past year. I live in Branson and we used to have a standing family breakfast at 7am on Saturdays. I say USED TO because YESTERDAY my sister and I both got food poisoning. The bacon was rancid and I thought I smelled something weird but there was gravy and egg and biscuits so I wasn't really sure, but I stopped at one piece. My sister also stopped before finishing hers. Within an hour we were both dreadfully sick. I called immediately to let them know someone needed to check on the bacon because I was positive it had turned. The manager Shawna just said thank you and hung up. No offer to refund or anything. Not that I could have made the 3 mile trip back to get it yesterday anyway. Many elderly people eat here and I was very concerned for THEIR health. The whole way it was handled was rude and absolutely unprofessional. SHE DIDNT EVEN APOLOGIZE. We will NEVER eat here again Our waitstaff is always lovely. The restaurant dining room looks clean and the general store up front is always cool, if expensive. I would highly recommend Billy Gail's or even Dennys at this point. Very disappointed. read more

Here at 2 on a Friday. I understand lunch rushes and understaffing but what I find ridiculous is a server and hostess discussing two call offs and there only being one cook....not to mention hearing the male server say "just give me whatever...I don't want to hear her bitch" talking about another server. As a guest visiting your establishment, I don't want to hear the behind the scene goings on....just seat me and give me the customer service I am paying for. Again....i understand staffing concerns but the unprofessionalism your staff displayed today was disappointing. However, our server Kort was awesome and had us laughing and smiling! Three Stars: If I were to go to any diner anywhere, if I'd stopped in on a road trip, let's say, the experience I just had this evening would warrant a three star review. Two stars: This is cracker barrel. I would expect a LOT more from this chain of down-home cooking. Especially in Branson. This is their demographic, this should be their flagship. The mashed potatoes were cold and clumpy, vegetable sides were horribly mushy, rolls were cold, the fried chicken was good (2 star review as opposed to 1), chicken and dumplings were old. I'm from the Chicagoland area. The cracker barrels I've eaten in my town are good. How is that the Branson location make mediocre food? My baked potato was gross! (How's that possible?!) The greens were bland, the carrots were served warm (not hot) the grilled catfish taste undercooked. Even my 7yr old said he didn't like his Mac and cheese. Lastly, there peach, black cherry tea is gross! Don't eat here, there's a reason why this place has 3 stars. The only positive, our server Zach was awesome! read more

As always Cracker Barrel never seems to fail me no matter what state I visit. Service always great and many options to choose from. I also noticed that they are bias towards boys. Many many girl clothes and girlie gifts but little to no boys clothes or gifts. This is ALWAYS the case in every state I've eaten Cracker Barrel in. What gives??? But thanks for always comping the bus driver meals in every state when I bring my passengers!!! 5 stars just for that. Wife and I ate at this location Wed. afternoon. Had a very nice lady wait on us and everything was great. A young man with a mohawk brought our food, was super friendly and out going. Even though he wasn't our waiter we just had leave him a tip also as a Thank you. I appreciate you making our vacation a joy. The Chicken Fried Chicken is always amazing. We stop at this location at least 2 times a year when we go to Branson. Me and my husband went to Branson and to the Cracker Barrel. He got chicken and dumplings and I got the chicken fried chicken with hash brown casserole. It was so good and my husband usually makes his own and he thought that these were as every bit as good as his homemade dumplings. Do NOT go here! We were assuming that because it's Branson and everyone is country that of course the good ol country store would be reliable. However, our waitress was very rude and hardly took care of our table. Our food came out 45 minutes later and it was cold. When we sent it back, they brought it back mushy and microwaved so hot it would burn your mouth. Love Cracker Barrel otherwise, just don't go to this one.
