We love this place cause you can get breakfast or lunch. We usually go here cause of the fireplace, and its cozy. The breakfast is great and hot coffee on other hand need to change it. The lunch menu and dinner menu has a variety of food. The fried turkey was delicious. Love the veggie plate and hot bread you get. The staff is very accommodating and nice. Disappointed with the portions. We ordered an item with a double serving of casserole. We we're going to split it. Turned out to be a portion served in a little skillet. This restaurant is pretty good and alright to go to once and a while. Their food has always been decent, but has always been a bit bland for my tastes, especially with the steaks. If you decide to go, I would definitely recommend their breakfast food as I feel it is a lot better than the lunch and dinner. It's a chain, but I think that works well in Branson! No one comes to Branson for a gourmet restaurant. No one comes here for the best sushi they've ever had. Or Thai food, or even the best barbeque. Folks are here for the Theaters. The Shows! The Outdoor Activities! You just need to eat to keep going. Cracker Barrel will fill your tummy with good old down home country food. Three squares a day. The food and server was fine. My massive complaint is with the mobile app and waitlist. We called ahead and the phone rep said to use the mobile app to get on the waitlist. We did that and saw we had a 20-25 min wait. I immediately got a text message to my phone confirming the 20-25 min wait and that I would receive a text when our table was ready and that they could only hold our table for 15 min after my name was called. We arrived with 10 min left to wait. The mobile app said to click the "I'm here" button to check in when we arrived. I did that. With other restaurants, checking in when you arrive, generate a new text message. I got nothing. 10 min expired so we are now at the original 20 min wait time elapsed. Still no text message. I waited 5 min more and then I went inside to verify I was even in the waitlist at all. As I walked in, I heard my name being called as the "Last call". I rushed up to the hostess and asked why it was last call when I never got any text message saying my table is ready. The response, "Oh, we don't send out text messages". I showed the hostess the original text message I got stating that I would receive a text when my table was ready. The response, "Sorry, we don't do that". I replied, "If I hadn't come in here to verify, I would have missed my table waiting for a text message that would never come!" She didn't care and she showed us to our table. I asked to see the manager to complain about how the mobile app and waitlist didn't work. The response, "Yeah, a lot of people complain about that. I don't know why the the original text message says you will get a text message when your table is ready. We don't do that. I will have to look into that " Anybody actually think this manager will actually look into it? In addition to this horrible waitlist system, the mobile app is riddled with bugs. 1. When filling in form fields, the bottom toolbar covers up the form field being typed into so you can't see what you are typing until you dismiss the keyboard. 2. When you try to change your personal info, all of the placeholder text appears along with your personal information in each form field so you can't read anything. 3. If you cancel changing your personal information, you get an error code and you get logged out of your account. read more

Stopped by early on Easter morning and we ordered the Old Timer with turkey sausage and Herschel's favorite. Kelly our sever was great! The biscuits were fresh, my eggs, ordered over hard were cook just right. The grits were a little watery for my taste but that's the only thing that I would change. The restaurant like most Cracker Barrel's is clean and well maintained. The staff is friendly and engaging. We liked it so much we'll eating there again tomorrow before heading out. read more

Ordered the shrimp, hush puppy, French fries meal for two. This was the worst meal I have ever received at a restaurant. The shrimp and hush puppies were so overcooked they were almost inedible. The French fries were barely warm. My wife and I rarely complain, so we nibbled, paid and left! Those meals should never have been plated. read more

So horrible!!! We came in and the hostess was arguing with the other waitstaff. When my husband spoke to her about getting us a table she was very very rude. We were told that we would have a 45 minute wait which was fine but she was just rude. So we decided to leave because we had decided to go down the street to Cicis. Which the staff was extremely helpful. Don't think we will be going back to that Cracker Barrel!!! Sad we come from another state and treated so badly!! read more

Very disappointed! We went in as a party of 8 and were told that there was only one table big enough, and we would get it as soon as it was clear. We waited 20 minutes and saw it open up and someone seated there that was after us, at that time they said they could only seat us in groups of 4 and we would have to wait longer, at that time we left. read more

Stopped in cause I was craving turkey and dressing which is the Thursday special. Got our meals after a hefty wait as I'm sure it sat in the window for a while. Other than the temperature of my meal it was turkey and dressing, need I say more? Hubby ordered the Ribeye and made the comment that it was very tasty and juicy! In my lifetime, I've watched this chain go further and further down in food quality and portions while going steadily upward in price. Again, this is chain-wide, not just here. Great trout! Nice service and facilities. They have books on CD you buy for cover price, but can return them for full price less a minimal rental fee at any of their locations! COOL! My father picked this place because he saw online that they had some stuff for vegans. Yes, I'm that "difficult" one in the group. Our server was Kim. She is a sweet lady who guided me around their "special" menu. If you are vegan or vegetarian or have certain allergies let your server know. The food here is delicious. This place has a nice warm feel to it. They also have a cute gift shop. Visiting from California and it has a nice southern hospitality to it. read more

I wish I could give this place 0 stars. To start off the waitress was extremely rude and not organized whatsoever. We ordered mimosas and got maybe a tiny splash of orange juice and the rest was just alcohol. The lunch was just okay. The breakfast was horrible. The biscuits were hard as a rock. The gravy seemed like they grabbed it out of the fridge and barely heated it up in the microwave. The sausage was RAW , and the bacon was chewy and flavor less like a dog treat. Our waitress passed the orders wrong and was missing half of it when she served us. We had to ask several times for refills. The soda tasted like water and had no carbonation. The syrup came in these little tiny bottles and we kept having to ask for more. Our food took over half an hour to come out and there was only 6 tables. Cracker Barrel has always been my go to place for breakfast but I don't think I will be returning anytime soon. read more

However, since I eat at them often, I also know when one is being run properly. This one is! We were in Branson at a busy time - The Saturday before Christmas - and we knew it would be tough to get a table at the busier restaurants. Normally, I'd opt for a local restaurant since I can eat at C.B. anytime. However, this place was our choice for a family gathering of 7. Not only was it a busy time of year, but it was on a weekend and at the common dinner time of 6:30. We were seated very quickly and they put tables together for our group. The server was excellent, cheerfully answering questions and catering to my picky step-father's many extra requests. Our drinks were kept filled and the food arrived quickly. The service didn't stop there; our server checked on us often. Why 5 stars? Because they did such a bang-up job during a time when you would have expected a few glitches. Every road trip includes a stop at Cracker Barrel (sometimes more than one). They never disappoint and this location was no different. Breakfast was tasty as usual. I love their simple omelets. Yes omelet - they aren't on the menu but yes you can get one ordered to your liking. They come with biscuits and grits but I always tell them they can keep those. Grits aren't my thing. Our other favorite thing about Cracker Barrel is they are ll the same. You know what to expect and can always find a special treat, snack or shirt in the gift area. read more
