Country Fried Steak with Mashed Potatoes w/Brown Gravy and Steak Fries
    Heather G.

First time here - came for an early dinner. I love the store and all the different things they have. Very fun to check out! Our waitress was nice. We ordered the country fried steak and the tender chicken dippers. There was another waitress who brought our food out and we were missing one of the dipping sauces and the corn muffin that went with the chicken tenders. When we waved down our normal waitress and she brought the missing sauce and muffin, but also a bowl of corn that went didn't order. The country fried steak was dry, but okay. The chicken dippers were good. Overall, it was okay. Might try breakfast here sometime, but probably not lunch or dinner.

Great customer service, was greeted as soon as I walked in, I was seated immediately and the service was amazing. Ordered a country fried steak with biscuits and gravy, a side of hash browns casserole, 2 eggs over easy. The food was hot, delicious and accurate. It was a busy Sunday morning. Exceeded expectations. I will definitely stop by again! Recommend A+

Us ladies enjoying a variety of breakfast choices

This is always a favorite for some of us in Buckeye. It stays very crowded on Fridays and especially Sundays for breakfast. We had a party of 9 and although they do not take reservations (as we were told) some of us got there early for a table. You can't go wrong with any of the breakfast choices but if you're looking for a little lunch, it's served after 11am. I just tried their cinnamon rolls which were excellent. They do have some new items on the menu so check them out. Our waitress kept our drinks filled, and checked on us even with 3 other tables. Checking out the ladies were friendly and so polite. I love this location because it's in my neighborhood and service is always top tier when I go.

So good! I've only visited Cracker Barrel once when I was on vacation in TN. Everything we had was good! We had the chicken fried steak, of course the famous potatoes, and the hash brown casserole shepherds pie! We had so much food we ate our leftovers twice! All the staff were so friendly! We will be back :)

Had a good experience at Cracker Barrel. The food was fresh and so tasty. The service was okay, I totally understand that breakfast time is usually busy so we did have to wait a while for things and remind our waitress but it was nothing to stress about. The country fried chicken was so good. Their hashbrowns are pretty jazzed up so it's not my favorite but everything else was good. Their little store is also really awesome and me and the family enjoyed it!

Good spot for American style food! Traditional menu options with good size portions. Great service and the food was good, the biscuits and gravy was a favorite!

    Well done. Barf.

Sadly, this was the worst experience I've ever had anywhere. We arrived at 1218pm for lunch. Place serves breakfast all day. There were four of us. Service: three coffees three waters, one cold tea. Coffees came warm, add cream turns cool. Server took orders. We ordered biscuit beignets for before breakfast. Another server helped dumped the syrup all over table and my step father in law. He had to get cleaned up in the bathroom. Three of our party ordered breakfast with pancakes. I ordered steak and eggs. Steak desired doneness medium rare, eggs over medium, hash brown crispy well done. The others said their pancakes were deflated chewy, not fluffy. But, tasty. They ate everything. My plate burnt steak, hash browns were crumbled and flakey not pressed and crispy hash brown at all and so salty that it didn't make sense. I did not want the casserole hash brown. Eggs; one was over medium, one was well done. I ate the egg white on the over cooked egg, didn't want the well done yolk. The other egg I ate. The steak made me literally cry it was black charred jerky, I ate one and because I was starving. My husband kept asking me if I was okay. I wasn't. I had to tell our server that I needed to speak with her. When the beignets were served there were no plates. I got syrup on myself because I had to eat off of a napkin. The coffee, we had finished our coffees and were out of all liquids after 35 mins. We didn't get our food until 1:15pm. Almost one hour. Everyone rise including the firearm instructor group of 20 got their food faster than us. Really, I'm not sure what happened with the whole situation, but I don't want to go there ever again. Traumatizing experience. The nicest person was our cashier. We left a $20 tip because they took the beignets off the bill and the steak breakfast off the bill. They should have taken my step father in laws off too because of wearing the syrup all over his shirt. And I'm not sure it was the servers fault or the kitchen. It sucks either way that we had to go through all that. :( But, it was thoughtful of them I guess to do what they did.

This location was kind of a let down... majority of our food was bland or overcooked. I didn't realize all the locations don't have the same type of Mac n cheese or other sides though. A lot of the sides we had seemed to... hate to say it but like microwaved food. Very disappointing. We also felt rushed out and the tables were not busy or full, lots of sour faces from the staff. Just a very odd experience from the other locations I have been to. Could have just been a bad day for some but the food... not too sure about that. Can never go wrong with the country store though!

Stopped at the Cracker Barrel in Buckeye AZ for late lunch. The place was pretty much empty since it was about 3:45p.m. After waiting a short time I was seated and told my waitress would be right over. So after waiting about 20 min. my waitress finally comes over and apologizes for the wait as she thought another waitress was taking care of me. I ordered and it came out very quickly (a little to quickly) food was just ok. I could tell it was not fresh and they didn't even bother to really heat it up. I ate and drank my lemonade and that was it. I never saw or heard from my waitress again, she never came back to check on me or ask how the food was or if I needed a refill on my drink which I did want. POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE AND BUFFET QUALITY FOOD. Would not recommend

Cracker Barrel is always good Souther fried chicken meal: - chicken is so juicy and crunchy - side of fried okra + ranch recommended - ask for extra gravy Meatloaf: Turkey meal - not the best turkey but delicious! - pumpkin pie was little too sweet but good - good with gravy and cranberry sauce Fresh baked cornbread

A Taste of the Bayou Right Here!…read more Walking into Flavors of Louisiana feels like stepping straight into the heart of the South--where the spices are bold, the portions are generous, and every bite carries a story. From the moment I sat down, the warm hospitality made me feel like family, and the aroma of Cajun spices drifting from the kitchen let me know I was in for something special. The Food The star of the show is undeniably the seafood dishes. The crawfish étouffée was rich and velvety, with layers of flavor that only true Louisiana cooking can capture. The seasoning was spot-on--bold without being overpowering, spicy but balanced. The fried catfish was golden perfection: crispy on the outside, tender and flaky on the inside. And don't get me started on the gumbo--hearty, smoky, and brimming with soul. Every side dish felt like comfort food elevated. The hush puppies were crisp little bites of heaven, and the dirty rice was so flavorful it could have been a meal on its own. The Experience What I loved most was the authenticity. Nothing felt watered down or rushed--it was food made with love, patience, and pride. The staff checked in often, always with a smile, and you could tell they genuinely cared that you enjoyed not just your meal, but your entire experience. Final Thoughts Flavors of Louisiana isn't just a restaurant--it's an experience. It's the kind of place you come to when you want food that warms your soul and reminds you what real flavor is supposed to taste like. If you've never had authentic Cajun or Creole cooking before, this is the perfect place to start. And if you already love Louisiana cuisine, you'll feel right at home. Authentic. Flavorful. Unforgettable!

Unfortunately, the place was really dark inside (windows blacked out), the service was very slow and the food just wasn't so great. The last time I was in, the food was so salty that we couldn't finish our meal. There was no note on the door thanking customers for their patronage, or whether the closure is temporary or permanent. There is no information on the website. Shows they still have this location. I guess I shouldn't be surprised, but will miss them.

We ordered the ribs, brisket, mac & cheese, elote, and jalapeño cheddar sausage, and honestly... EVERYTHING was a 100/10! Every single bite was packed with so much flavor, and you could really taste the care that went into the cooking. The ribs were incredibly juicy and tender, with that delicious smoky BBQ flavor and the perfect amount of seasoning. The brisket was another standout--so flavorful, tender, and juicy, with that beautiful smoky flavor you hope for when you're craving authentic BBQ. And the jalapeño cheddar sausage?! The combination of the savory sausage, little kick of jalapeño, and creamy cheddar was SO good! The mac & cheese was rich, creamy, and comforting--the perfect side to balance all that smoky goodness. The elote was also a favorite, loaded with flavor and the perfect little sweet-and-savory element alongside the BBQ. Everything tasted fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. Nothing was dry, bland, or lacking seasoning. You can tell they know their way around a smoker because every bite had that delicious depth of flavor I look for in great BBQ. 100/10 would absolutely order this again! If you're a BBQ lover, Eric's Family BBQ needs to be on your list. This meal seriously exceeded my expectations, and I can't wait to come back and try even more!

Prices here are fair as the quality is good. Heard one person mention the sauce is good at pier 88 but everything else is better here...I'd take cooked to perfection than a little better sauce. You should too traveling or native. I'd post a pic of the crawfish (live it's in season) but they were perfectly cooked amazing flavor and I smashed the whole pound before I thought this place deserved the atta boy!
