This is my son in laws med well steak ! You needed a hack saw to cut it

This was the worse dinning experience I've ever had. My party of seven had several issues with our food. From beginning to end. From charcoal burnt steak , spiting out human hair inside biscuit... seasoned rice was so hard , it was doubted to had even been cooked every vegetable except the carrots tasted of chemical. Very nasty. The ham was so hard But some people in my party tried to deal with some of these issues , just not eating it. It was not our waitresses fault. But they need to hire different cooks! I wouldn't ever eat here again. In fact the table behind us was having several issues as well. We overheard the complaints just before leaving. I do not recommend this place at all.

The update menu is better tasting and there alof of choices. Cracker barrels are now on the quieter side and no more waits even during peak hours. The country friend steak breakfast is good as is the Fried chicken.

It has been years since I have been to a Cracker Barrel. This was always a fun place to stop while on the road when our kids were young. I really didn't see that anything has changed over the years. We enjoy browsing the gift shop, and usually walk out buying something. There are plenty of items to choose from on the menu, and our food came out quickly after ordering, but at best food here is just average.

The failed order they don't even tell you what went wrong.

I wanted some comfort food. Marie Callender's used to make a lovely chicken fried chicken dinner with corn on the cob. This was not as good as that. The chicken was okay it's a big breast there were two of them they had a lot of crunchy coating on them they were okay. The gravy was congealed. At first I didn't think they gave me white gravy I thought they only gave me brown gravy. I actually tried to do the order online and didn't work so I took a screen print of the fault order that didn't go through and send it to my roommate. He said he showed the girl the picture the order was supposed to be chicken fried chicken corn on the cob mashed potatoes and fried apples. When he got home there was no corn on the cob. If they were out I don't know why she didn't say "will nibblet corn work" to him. I don't understand. But there were some Beignets I didn't really want them. So I started off with a corn muffins I don't know how you can ruin corn muffins but they did. My roommate said it tastes like rancid oil was used. And I feel like that aptly describes it. The mashed potatoes were mashed potatoes. They were nothing special they could have been worse. So they were okay. The beignets they were not good they were doughy and they just tasted like old grease coated in sugar. I definitely don't feel like I got my comfort food. I don't think my roommate had any issues picking it up. I definitely had issues ordering it. I don't know why it wouldn't take the order. Twice I tried to go get it to order if there wasn't something available it didn't say this is not available try something else it just said there's something wrong with your order. So all together I'm making this review so I never ever ever order anything from Cracker Barrel again. I gave it one stars cuz of chicken was edible and moist not horrible and the mashed potatoes were edible. I didn't want edible I wanted something really yummy and comforting though. The fried apples were awesome.

We frequented this place over the past two weeks while taking care of a family member in their final stages of life. Pita and Olive became our family's go-to spot for comfort food. We all ordered various plates from kebabs, falafal, beef and lamb pitas, chicken bowl, and sides of their delicious rice. While running errands a few days ago I actually stopped in JUST to pick up a side of rice and a small cup of their creamy dill sauce (which tastes amazing on everything). Fresh ingredients that are seasoned beautifully and plates that are crafted to satisfy and bring happiness to your tummy and your heart. I want to thank Pita and Olive for providing us with nourishment during some pretty chaotic and sad times.

My husband enjoyed his hearty breakfast: Farmer Dick's breakfast special, 3 eggs over easy light rye toast, red bliss potatoes home fries and bacon. One is plenty for me and I love that they use little blueberries for their pancakes. The atmosphere at Lakeside Farms is bucolic. I suppose it wouldn't have been so bad if I liked it. The bacon was not good. It was very greasy and kind of also dry and gritty. The egg had no seasoning. The toast was good the jam was good the hash browns were good. I don't enjoy them for breakfast. I did have the best fish sandwich I've ever had in my life there a long time ago it was a special. Overall, it was a pleasant experience. The matcha was absolutely delicious and clearly made with care -- prepared in a proper bowl and whisked with a bamboo whisk. I asked for a bit of honey, which really pulled the entire experience together. Honestly, I'd give this place a 5/5 based on the matcha alone. The smoothie bowl (I go the one that has banana, peanut butter, honey, and some other toppings) was great overall, though I did have one small complaint: there were a few large chunks of ice mixed in, and I accidentally bit into them. Aside from that, the bowl was flavorful and enjoyable. My wife ordered a smoothie, which was just okay. I didn't particularly care for it, and she unfortunately didn't end up finishing it. The service was excellent. The woman who took our order was very friendly and helpful, and she even recommended the matcha -- which turned out to be a great suggestion. One last note: we had visited this spot about a year ago, and it looks like the interior has completely changed since then. The new layout is bright and welcoming, no longer dark, and features a mostly gray palette with accent plants and furniture that bring everything together nicely. It feels much cozier than before.

Another friend, Pam, had highly recommended Emma Jayne's Restaurant which is only a couple of traffic lights from Trader Joe's - a perfect location for our trip. The restaurant sits just north of Fred the Butcher (next door, literally) for those who frequent that establishment, on Route 9. There is off-street parking. When we arrived at 12:30 p.m. on a Tuesday, the front parking spaces were full. (Note: there may be parking around back; I didn't check) We thought we might have to wait for a table. Wrong! The restaurant is surprisingly spacious with two large rooms furnished with tables that were thoughtful spaced apart. A photo of an adorable young girl, whom we assumed was the dining establishment's namesake, was on the wall. Let me be sure to mention that the ladies room, which smelled faintly of bleach, was spotless. I mean REALLY clean! About the food ... my friend and I shared an appetizer of Fried Calamari. It was an ample portion (took some home) accompanied by sweet chili sauce - a nice change from typical marinara served at other places. However, the calamari was small and overcooked. As a result, what was presented was a plate of small, overly crisp rings of 90% batter. No squid! For our entrees, Barb chose the Chicken Salad Sandwich. She requested that it be served on a pretzel bun (touted as homemade) for which we were hit with an up-charge of $3.50. The chicken salad had grapes and walnuts in it and Barb liked it very much. The up-charged pretzel roll did not appear to be homemade. Very disappointing. Had she known it would be uninspiring, she would have accepted the brioche roll. Macaroni salad - not very exciting - accompanied the sandwich along with a pickle. I love seafood and was torn between ordering the Fish and Chips (halibut) and Lobster Pot Pie (an appetizer). Our server, Drew, gets a gold star for suggesting the second one when I told him I wasn't a big eater. Apparently, the halibut, while highly recommended, is a sizable portion. The pot pie was superb! The rich, creamy sauce was divine. I couldn't eat it all and will enjoy the rest of it for lunch today. Emma Jayne's menu has something for everyone. Our server, Drew, was informative and attentive. While we may make other food choices (skip the calamari and pretzel bun but keep the pot pie), we will definitely return.
