While traveling we stopped in Dalton GA and had an early dinner at this Cracker Barrel restaurant. The service was fine and it was not busy but the food was Terrible!! I ordered the fried chicken dinner and the whole meal was barely warm and dried out. My husbands meal, chicken fried steak was also barely warm. I would be embarrassed to serve food that way!! Not sure what the issue was but that's the last time I visit a Cracker Barrel while traveling!! When we paid for the meal I told the cashier it was not a good meal and she offered to get the manager for me, but I declined and told her I would post a review instead. read more

We arrived to a full house with an estimated wait time of 15 minutes. Waited around 30 minutes. Which wasn't ideal but considering it's Saturday we understood. Our server named Sabrina C. Greeted us immediately as we noticed she was triple sat. She took our drink order and brought it back very quickly. Our food was amazing!! We ordered a sunrise sampler and the double meat breakfast and our son ordered a kids chicken finger meal. This server went above and beyond what I would consider Cracker Barrel policy. She was overly positive and provided gracious customer service. We even noticed she started cleaning random messes that most would say, "that's not job". On top of that, she brought my son a piece of cake and ice cream on the house for his birthday. I pray she moves up to management as many other servers on this facility could learn a lot from her. I would give zero stars if it would let me. We walked in, waited for 5 minutes for a host to finally come up. After she finally came up she sat us right away and I was excited. I read the menu and everything sounded really good. But a server never came up to us, everybody just avoided our table. We waited for literally 20 minutes at our table trying to get someone to come over. My girlfriend and I are traveling across country and just wanted to try it. We decided to leave and get McDonald's because at least they'll serve you. This is my first time at a Cracker Barrel and We won't be back. Worst restaurant experience ever. read more

This is the worst Cracker Barrel food ever. We got take out and the food was dry , there was no dipping sauce, no butter, no jelly, no flavor!! Fewer than 1/3 of customers had a mask on and there was chaos even knowing where to line up to pay or to pick up the food. Absolutely terrible experience!! read more

Me and my boyfriend at here tonight. It's Valentine's Day so it's extremely busy but I was very astonished with how are server, Crystal, (I believe that was her name she was short with dark hair) handled it. There was a table beside us that was absolutely rude to her and she continued to have a smile on her face and treated them with respect and accommodated to what they needed. As someone who has served before, it is very admiring to see that. I was very happy with how our experience was with her and she has great table side manner. So happy 2020 Tried to order in line only to find out after 1/2 that they are not taking on line orders ( which no one at the location was aware of) Call the number to order to go ( see attached pictures) placed or and it was repeated back with the wait time of 1.5 hours. So I wait, then at 3:48 or so I go to pay for my order to which I am told they do not have my order and did I order on line ?? So now out comes the manager who not only asks again if I was sure that they didn't have my order and if I ordered on line. But was also asked if I called the correct location. He stated he was only trying to help me. To which I explained I will not be waiting any longer for food. went out to eat with my boyfriend here and our first server, malory(yes it was spelled like that), blonde chick, worked so well with me and my boyfriend, smiling at both of us, and talking very kindly to me. So we asked to stay with her, our waitress was very good. My eggs were literally cooked perfectly and so cheesy. after that we asked to talk to a manager because Malory literally went above and beyond. then as we were standing in line waiting to checkout malory took it upon herself to come stand at the host stand with a few coworkers and make sure we had everything we needed packed and ready to go, being sure that we didn't leave anything behind, and my chicken and dumplings serving size was tripled since last time, and last time i orders ice coffee it was so good. overall both times we have attended this location it has been amazing, oh and malory came to ask us if we were ready to order smiling with such a great smile noticing we were taking some time asked "well, do you need help?"kind, speaking to us like normal and I'm not insecure, overall gorgeous, pretty, and absolutely amazing at her job read more

Nasty place, mens room is horrible, tables need to be cleared. The floor is in desperate need of sweeping and cleaning. Food not that great. Country fried steak was overcooked and the biscuits were cold. This used to be a great place for lunch but has gone downhill. And then to top it all off a girl coming out of the kitchen with a "to go" container, dropped it on the floor and then picked it up and took it to the table. read more

It took 10 minutes after we were seated to order and it took another 25 minutes to get our food. The restaurant wasn't busy, so staffing shouldn't be an excuse. When our food finally arrived, it wasn't hot and the biscuits and cornbread weren't fresh. We have visited other locations in the past few months and this experience wasn't a one-off. DON NOT GO ON SUNDAY. this has to be their busiest breakfast / lunch day and half the time we decide to go there it turns out to be Sunday... go figure. Gross! I'd give them less stars, but our service was fairly good. The sausage taste really weird. It has some smoked undertones. It taste almost like it had some jerky or something similar in it. My husband and I asked a Georgia native sitting next to us on the plane before we landed in Atlanta, "What's some good southern cooking we should eat?" His best answer was to go to Cracker Barrel. I'd been to Cracker Barrel once before in Virginia. This was my husband's first CB experience. Wow, the service we got from a young man was highly commendable. He was polite and kept checking on us without being obnoxious about it. He got a very sweet tip! The food was OK. My husband said he'd had better Chicken Fried Steak and my Chicken Dumplin's were OK. It was all good, but nothing rave worthy. I had to give Sweet Tea another go, and their tea didn't cross my eyes and put me into a sugar coma, so I was able to enjoy it. The General Store part of the restaurant didn't turn us on. It's a good place to spend a bunch of money on some cute stuff. Some of the food items were very tempting, though. The prices were very reasonable. So if you're hungry and want a good deal from some pretty good food, this is a good place to fill up. read more

I thought the place was cute. It's nice to have a place to shop/window shop while you're waiting for your table. I came in the afternoon and it was packed. After about 15 minutes, we were seated. Our waiter was extremely friendly... and how do i put it... very open. He opened up to us with his life story and how he was put on this earth to serve. Very friendly man. I got the sampler plate which came with meat loaf, ham, and chicken and dumplings. The chicken and dumplings was AMAZING and some of the sides were delicious. I was not a fan of the okra, but the macaroni, mashed potatoes, and brocolli caserrole were delicious. The apple cider was really good as well. The ham was way too salty- I got country style which the server told me people thought was too salty and he was right. The meatloaf was pretty good... but it's hard to screw up meatloaf! Needed a quick bite before bed while staying at the Marriott Hotel conveniently located 5 minutes away ... Blessed ! The rainbow trout was cooked so well I was tempted to order another. The service was perfect. Bonus I was surprised to find a boutique little gift shop that was wonderful ! Great experience and only spent 35 min of my night there - literally back in bed with in the hour. The sides were spot on ! Try the kale Brussels salad ! Delicious !! Been eating here for decades. Store is usually very clean, and wait times are kind of low if you consider the volume of people who dine here. Only problem can be if you have a fairly large party 6 or more can be a bit of a wait. Everything is good, and you get to eat with the smell of hickory in the fireplace, and coffee in the kitchen. An absolute horrible experience here. The front staff was nice and we overheard that they were short staff from other patrons that were waiting and that was fine. We understood that. What was unacceptable was that it took over 5 minutes for our waiter to even show up. He took FOREVER to bring anything. Didn't bring straws or any other table wear to the table until we had to requested. After 45 minutes of not having any food (which we ordered when we ordered our drinks) we asked the waiter how much longer. He said it could be anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour from when we ordered, which he didn't have any remorse about. He said he will go check on it. Not 2 minutes later he shows up with our food. The food was cold and not pleasant at all. We were traveling and still had a bit to go so we didn't feel like dealing with and edits. We wanted our food and to leave. Thank god we do not have to eat here again. We understand slow. Completely. But if there is no remorse or understanding from the staff that is a problem.
