Always good food. One of my favorite places to eat. NOT five stars-not the price either. You may not want to write home about CB but you will have a good meal-usually for about ten dollars. Small town... Must have a "solid" for a restaurant while traveling. After asking multiple locals and trying over 10 restaurants in town over the course of our 4 day stay, it is evident that there is no "local flavor". Stick with the chains, you will be just as disappointed as usual. Cracker Barrel is fantastic in situations like this. Good all around and diverse menu. I'm a big Cracker Barrel fan, and I'm here on business. I came in on a Friday and only had a 10min wait. I recieved service right away, and my food came out so quickly! Very friendly service and the food was spot on. I had the chicken and dumplings and it tasted homemade. With two sides and cornbread I certainly did not leave hungry. All under $10 too. Took my mom out for mothers day dinner after waiting for or an hour We finally get seated . The waitress finally takes our order. Then waiting another 45 minutes to an hour we finally get our food . The food looked like it had been sitting for an hour . Half our order was missing . The people where rude and unprofessional. read more

Biscuits sucked. Like hard little rocks and not warm at all. Service was sub par. Lacking southern hospitality. Won't be going back to the dalton Cracker Barrel. On a positive note, the grilled roast beef was good but not the sides. Butter was soft so that was good too. read more

Hands-down the worst Cracker Barrel I have ever visited. I stopped off here just now, I'm actually writing this review while I'm in the parking lot. I ordered a grilled chicken tenderloin sandwich on seared sourdough with no cheese cut in half. They had to make it two times because I had cheese on it the first time. I got this to the car & the bread is nothing but soggy not seared. Barely even toasted. It was not cut it in half and the lettuce looked like it had come from last week sometime. I was standing there and a man had been waiting 45 minutes for a catfish plate. He was furious. I should've taken that as my cue. I walked back in and handed them my soggy bread plate and walked out. Never got anything to eat and I paid for it. I would drive 20 miles out-of-the-way to stay away from this Cracker Barrel if I were you! I wasn't going to have it re-make it a third time. Ok, here's the deal on one star. Normally I truly love each and every Cracker Barrel. They always have great food and friendly service. They did both, however they served my chicken livers to another table and the waitress quickly discovered her mistake and pick it up and came over to my table. She was very appalled by what she'd done and said she'd get another plate. Now here's what upset me. She took the plate back and another person within 30 seconds or so brought out that same plate to me. I guess they thought I couldn't count. NO WAY CAN THEY COOK ANOTHER BATCH OF CHICKEN LIVERS IN THAT SHORT OF TIME!!!! I'm just upset to think I could buy into that. I didn't say anything to cause a ruckus, I just enjoyed my meal. Whew, brother maybe it was because I was over 65 they could fool me. The funny thing was if she would have just sit that plate of chicken livers down originally I would have been good with that. Thanksgiving Day.. The list for the Thanksgiving meal at the restaurant did NOT work and the web site did NOT work either! The phone was constantly busy so Cracker Barrel could NOT be contacted by phone! I had called Cracker Barrel several days in advance and also the morning of Thanksgiving Day to find out how to get on the list since I am elderly and would not be able to stand in line for hours.. The info I was given about the LIST was useless since the list and the Cracker Barrel website was overwhelmed and Cracker Barrel was NOT prepared to handle the List.. I tried to get on the list several times before the Cracker Barrel web site stopped working! I will NOT ever plan for a Thanksgiving meal at Cracker Barrel unless they are prepared and ensure that the list and the website are operating! read more

To start with, I would give my server's name, but we haven't seen him in so long, I can't get it. We have been sitting here for 30 minutes at a minimum out of drinks, waiting on our check, and would like a small to-go box BUT our server keeps passing by avoiding us. No one stepped in to help. I had to go to the register for assistance. The most I got from the manager was a pitiful apology and my check. They were slightly busy when we arrived (5 minute wait for a table), but but the end of our meal, it was very slow. Order taken and filled satisfactorily, one drink refill of a 1/2 empty glass and then our server disappeared. Oh he could easily show up to deliver our check after I get the manager. Be warned! If you get a male server with a beard and his hair in a small bun (name possibly Luis from information on the check) ask to be seated elsewhere. My husband and I took a trip to Atlanta to visit our daughter and her family. On the way home to Murfreesboro, TN., we stopped at the Cracker Barrel in Dalton, Ga. We enjoyed a delicious lunch and left thinking we were going to be on our way home.When we got into our car to leave we found our car wouldn't start. Thinking it was the battery, Russell got the jumper cable out. Liz Barrett, one of your employees noticed our plight and came over and tried to start the car with the battery on her VW. This didn't work so she found some of the other employees that were getting off of work. Another employee(name unknown) tried starting the car with hers and that didn't work either.They asked two young men,Eric Trent and Chris Thomas, who were getting off from work if they would help. They found it wasn't the battery by turning on the lights. Eric even crawled under the car trying to find the problem. By this time your General Manager, Eric Bruce was there giving us his support. Eric and Chris decided it was the starter.Russ and I are both seventy years old and he has diabetes plus some other health issues. I was worried about him since we were in the hot sun, over 100 degrees. Eric and Chris took over and got the car started for us. We were on our way and reached our home in just a few hours. What could have been a terrible experience turned into a delightful one. We prayed before our lunch that day and asked God to watch over us and take us safely home. He certainly answered that prayer by using your employees. We ask you to please acknowledge these kind employees for the help and kindnesses they showed us.
