Hash brown casserole
Missi R.

This Cracker Barrel location is under construction, the sign is down, and I wasn't even sure that it was open. But the parking lot was full and a sign near the door said they were open during remodeling. I placed an order to go, two eggs over medium, three pancakes, and a side of hash brown casserole. Not the healthiest breakfast I realize, but was an occasional treat. One reason that I don't usually order pancakes at restaurants is because I prefer a real maple syrup with my pancakes. Few restaurants actually serve real maple syrup, and I would be willing to pay extra for it, but usually it isn't available. However, I noticed that Cracker Barrel has been advertising 100% pure natural syrup, so I took that to mean real maple syrup. My order was well packaged, and complete with everything I had ordered. The eggs were perfectly cooked to over medium, as I had requested. Hash brown casserole was tasty, as always, and the pancakes were good. The "100% Pure Natural Syrup" turned out to be 50% Vermont Maple Syrup and 50% Cane sugar. It tasted very good, much better than the typical artificially maple - flavored corn syrup and water that passes for pancake syrup at most restaurants. So although the "100% Pure Natural Syrup"wasn't truly 100% real maple syrup, it was very good.

Love the Cracker Barrel restaurants! The food is great (I had catfish today), the corn muffins and butter are tasty, the tea and water refills are cold and frequent. Friendly servers and cashiers. Lots and lots of items in the gift shop - you know you love it! This Florence location was clean and tiday...but we struggled with the peg game on the table.

It had been a long time since I'd been to this or any other Cracker Barrel restaurants. It's always been one of my favourites since childhood and they still do a lot of those same things that I loved as a kid. They still have the store at the front of the restaurant with all sorts of cool merchandise. Once you get past that we got a nice seat not far from the working fireplace which makes it feel like home for sure. They have modified their menu over the years but they still have all of the old favourites like chicken and dumplings and some the hashbrown casserole. I do wish they would bring back their beef stew but that's been gone for a long time. On this occasion I got the Chicken Fried Chicken which was their crispy homestyle fried chicken covered with sawmill gravy. Their white gravy is some of the very best that I know of and was absolutely delicious on top of the fried chicken. I got corn, steak fries, and extra biscuits for my sides. The corn was corn, the steak fries were excellent, and I absolutely LOVE Cracker Barrel biscuits. Put it all together and it was a tremendous brunch. The service was excellent, the restaurant made it feel like home, and the food was excellent. We couldn't ask for anything else.

Well first of all Christmas is happening at Cracker Barrel. The store is filled with Christmas trees and decorations. Very nice Now the restaurant part. I was seated right away. My server was Michelle. Very nice and sweet. I ordered the veggie platter with corn green beans fried okra hash brown casserole (my favorite) and biscuits. Very yummy

My husband favorite place to eat. Love the broccoli casserole and loaded hash brown casserole. Maple grilled chicken topped with bacon is a must try. It'll be my go to.

They didn't answer their phone after 5 minutes so we tried the mobile app. One screen said the food would be ready at 5PM while another said 4PM. Once we arrived, we noticed that the pick-up area doesn't even have warmers. Registers weren't even working and it seemed very chaotic. Also, the corn bread muffins tastes terrible.

I've never been to a cracker barrel until now. Being from California, there weren't any so apparently this place is like a big deal. Lol. There's a lot going on at the entrance because it's a gift shop and I have to say that's a really interesting setup. I do love the fact that they have a roaring fireplace going in the middle of the restaurant and it gives such a nice cozy vibe. The wait wasn't too long for a Sunday and we got a seat probably within 10 minutes. The staff were really friendly and informative - if we had any questions on the menu. Since this was my first time, I went big! Lol I ordered the grandpa's country fried breakfast which included a country-fried steak, two eggs, biscuits and gravy, and the potato hash casserole. To be honest I didn't have an expectation on the potato hash casserole, but holy crap that tasted so amazing. Everything was super good and I honestly can't believe I ate the entire thing. I definitely would recommend coming here for breakfast.

Stopped in for a quick lunch. Wait staff took good care of us. Checked back often and filled water glass without being asked

I stoped in at 6:15 am and they were up and running. My daughter had the beignet's and I had the steak and eggs. Both were outstanding.

So this place just had a weird vibe - the decor is beautiful and upscale and from the pictures on…read moretheir website, we kind of thought we needed to dress up a bit. But no. This is basically bar food in an expensive looking setting. We both wanted to order their chicken wings, but were told that they only had 10 wings left. Which was puzzling since the place was relatively empty. And speaking of that, we made a reservation online thinking the place would be hopping for dinner. Not so much. I had the taco el pastor. It was good but was basically pulled pork on a corn tortilla with bbq sauce. I also ordered the Brussel sprouts which would have been really good if they weren't drowning in white sauce. I recommend asking for all sauces on the side, btw. TVs on the wall all around the dining room are tuned into blooper reels and trivia. All in all, the menu wasn't intriguing enough for us to want to go back.

Rarely does a restaurant manage to feel like a neighborhood secret while delivering a high-caliber…read moreculinary program, but Sanctuary Social has mastered that delicate balance. Tucked away in Villa Hills, it has quickly established itself as a "hidden gem" that defies traditional categorization--part sophisticated lounge, part high-end bistro, and part soulful community hub. The design of Sanctuary Social is its first masterstroke. It captures the paradox of being "upscale-casual"; you'll find plush velvet sofas and warm, modern lighting that evoke a high-end city lounge, yet the energy remains as approachable as a favorite dive bar. The addition of live music on the weekends elevates the space from a mere eatery to a destination, providing a vibrant backdrop that feels both intimate and celebratory. It is a "sanctuary" in the truest sense--a place to disappear into for a few hours. The kitchen leans into "Elevated American" with a focus on fresh, high-quality ingredients and shareable plates that encourage conversation. Small Plates & Boards: The Artisan Meat and Cheese Board is a standout, curated with a level of intentionality often reserved for dedicated charcuterie houses. For a more modern bite, the Fresh Tomato Bruschetta with whipped burrata is a bright, creamy essential. The "Handhelds": The Wagyu Brisket Sammie and Wagyu Brisket Elote Tacos showcase the kitchen's ability to take casual comfort food and apply premium techniques. The brisket is consistently tender, balanced by the acidity and creaminess of the elote corn salsa. Craft Cocktails & Mocktails: The bar program is formidable. Their seasonal cocktails (like the Blackberry 75) are balanced and inventive. For those seeking non-alcoholic options, the Blackberry Lemonade Spritz or the Jalapeño Lemonade offers a complex profile that far exceeds standard soda fare. Sanctuary Social is the kind of place that Northern Kentucky has been craving: a spot that respects the craft of food and drink without the stiffness of formal dining. It's a "destination" restaurant hidden in plain sight, offering A1 surroundings and a menu that hits its mark with precision. If you haven't made the drive yet, you are indeed missing out on one of the region's most compelling new additions.
