It had been a long time since I'd been to this or any other Cracker Barrel restaurants. It's always been one of my favourites since childhood and they still do a lot of those same things that I loved as a kid. They still have the store at the front of the restaurant with all sorts of cool merchandise. Once you get past that we got a nice seat not far from the working fireplace which makes it feel like home for sure. They have modified their menu over the years but they still have all of the old favourites like chicken and dumplings and some the hashbrown casserole. I do wish they would bring back their beef stew but that's been gone for a long time. On this occasion I got the Chicken Fried Chicken which was their crispy homestyle fried chicken covered with sawmill gravy. Their white gravy is some of the very best that I know of and was absolutely delicious on top of the fried chicken. I got corn, steak fries, and extra biscuits for my sides. The corn was corn, the steak fries were excellent, and I absolutely LOVE Cracker Barrel biscuits. Put it all together and it was a tremendous brunch. The service was excellent, the restaurant made it feel like home, and the food was excellent. We couldn't ask for anything else.

Well first of all Christmas is happening at Cracker Barrel. The store is filled with Christmas trees and decorations. Very nice Now the restaurant part. I was seated right away. My server was Michelle. Very nice and sweet. I ordered the veggie platter with corn green beans fried okra hash brown casserole (my favorite) and biscuits. Very yummy

My husband favorite place to eat. Love the broccoli casserole and loaded hash brown casserole. Maple grilled chicken topped with bacon is a must try. It'll be my go to.

They didn't answer their phone after 5 minutes so we tried the mobile app. One screen said the food would be ready at 5PM while another said 4PM. Once we arrived, we noticed that the pick-up area doesn't even have warmers. Registers weren't even working and it seemed very chaotic. Also, the corn bread muffins tastes terrible.

I've never been to a cracker barrel until now. Being from California, there weren't any so apparently this place is like a big deal. Lol. There's a lot going on at the entrance because it's a gift shop and I have to say that's a really interesting setup. I do love the fact that they have a roaring fireplace going in the middle of the restaurant and it gives such a nice cozy vibe. The wait wasn't too long for a Sunday and we got a seat probably within 10 minutes. The staff were really friendly and informative - if we had any questions on the menu. Since this was my first time, I went big! Lol I ordered the grandpa's country fried breakfast which included a country-fried steak, two eggs, biscuits and gravy, and the potato hash casserole. To be honest I didn't have an expectation on the potato hash casserole, but holy crap that tasted so amazing. Everything was super good and I honestly can't believe I ate the entire thing. I definitely would recommend coming here for breakfast.

Ordered the Fried Chicken Dinner which came out overcooked. The kitchen said is the new batter!! speechless. Buyer beware!! Server was awesome! The quality of this food is poor!

We opted for the kettle chip nacho Thai appetizer and it was delicious. The chips were fresh. They weren't overly crunchy. There was tons of toppings on them 10 out of 10 recommend Remind me, I opted for the bison burger. The bacon jam was a little bit of a weird other than that. It was really good. It was cooked perfectly. Lots of toppings and the fries were well seasoned and fried perfectly. Hubby opted for the burger with peanut butter on it as he can never say no to a good peanut butter burger. It had lots of flavor was juicy cooked perfectly and for his side, he chose the sweet potato tater tots, which comes with caramel dipping sauce, and those were hands-down, the best sweet potato tots either one of us have ever had absolutely love this place and the Ford nostalgia decor. My usual favorite is…read moreTousey House, but they aren't open for dinner on Sundays so I needed to find an alternative. Fort Mitchell Public House Bar and Grill checks all of my boxes. The first thing I look for is a nice patio. Unfortunately the weather wasn't cooperating today, but I will be back for this fabulous patio. I was there before the dinner rush, which explains the emptiness of the restaurant. More people started arriving after 5:00. There were so many yummy sounding choices on the menu that it was hard to decide. I asked my server, Erin, what she recommends and she said the CAJUN BOURBON FILET TIPS were her favorite. I went with that and was not disappointed. The filet was cooked and seasoned perfectly. It is served over mashed potatoes and topped with onion straws. While the beef portion was small, it was a satisfying meal and the flavors were perfection! I added a side Caesar salad. Their house-made croutons were so good and the dressing was tasty and perfectly portioned. I don't often order dessert, but decided to splurge tonight and got a slice of the white chocolate raspberry cheesecake to-go. OMG, this is one of the best cheesecakes I've ever had. It was light and dense at the same time, if that makes sense. So creamy and melt in your mouth delicious. I will dream about it tonight LOL.

The place is comfortable; the tables are nicely spaced. Though it's a bar and grill, it has the feel of a restaurant. The menu is huge; so many options! I decided what I wanted, but kept looking at the menu. I considered changing my mind several times, but stuck with my original choice - SAIGON SALAD - arcadian greens / red and green onions / almonds / rice noodles / grilled chicken / soy ginger vinaigrette. The salad had a nice mix of greens. The chicken had an honest to goodness grilled flavor. It was the perfect size and seemed like a light option. It was delicious and I left feeling perfectly satisfied. Mark had CAJUN CREAM PASTA - grilled chicken breast / artichokes / black olives / tomatoes / spicy cream sauce/ penne. I failed miserably taking a picture, but I can tell you Mark raved about it. He also agreed the chicken had a great grilled flavor. He said the sauce, not too spicy at all, was delicious. He ate every bite. Three people had SALMON SLIDERS - grilled salmon / arcadian greens / tomato / remolaude / slider buns / chips. Everyone enjoyed them, though one mentioned the salmon had a habit of exiting the bun. Someone had a burger and another had NASHVILLE HOT CHICKEN WRAP - fried chicken / cayenne chili oil / honey / shredded cabbage / cheddar / pickles/ chips. He said it was quite good and rather spicy. Everyone was happy with their meal. With so many other options on the menu, we could come back and easily all order something different.

The building is beautiful as is the interior. There are lots of little rooms and the tables are pretty tight. It was a bit difficult for wait staff to get around, but the service was still attentive. Two of us ordered the Pork Tenderloin Sandwich w/ fries. That darn sandwich was delicious!! It was sticky as all get out, but it was delicious! I'll apologize now; my pic is so blurry I hesitate to post it, but I'm going to anyway. The other person having the Pork Tenderloin also enjoyed it. Mark ordered the Kentucky Hot Brown. He said it was loaded with ham and it was salty. He finished every bite, but he did say he wouldn't order it again. One person loved her Cod (she didn't eat the bread) and another said the shrimp and grits were very good. The menu has lots of options. I mentioned we would be happy to come back sometime for dinner.
