This store has a large parking lot and is a typical Cracker Barrel. I didn't come to eat, but just browse the shop and the candy and toys. If you've seen one Cracker Barrel then you know this is identical. Clean, busy and fun to spend time.

When I pulled up to park, I saw a tour bus, so I knew it would be busy this Friday. I only waited fifteen minutes for a table. Nevertheless, Shakira provided excellent, friendly service, and the Friday fish fry special is always a welcome treat. I heard some Cracker Barrel Stores are remodeling without the general country store vibe. If that's the case, it's not the Cracker Barrel we know and love.

After a long day of travel, we stopped in for some comfort food and were happy to be seated promptly. We all know that it often takes a while to get a table, and it's usually worth the wait. The hostess seated us at a table by the window, per our request and we waited for our server to come and get our drink order. We watched, as they seated two tables after us, get their drink orders. We were still waiting to be acknowledged. There were several different servers coming in and out of the kitchen looking in our direction, but still we waited. Finally, the hostess walked by, and we figured we would get served. NOPE! At this point, we had had enough and got up to leave. Seeing we were leaving, the hostess and server snickered and ducked into the kitchen without a word or an apology. And that will be the last time I ever see the inside of a Cracker Barrel.

First of all, I am a little biased, as I enjoy Cracker Barrel. Monday afternoon, late lunch. I started with a side salad. It was very good. It taste fresh. For my lunch I had the southern grilled chicken. The chicken was a little undercooked, and the vegetables, or a little overcooked. But the service was good, and I did enjoy my lunch.

Came here Monday morning.... I was looking forward to coming back here but was disappointed with the service & food. The place was extremely crowded for a Monday morning. We ordered our food & drinks. Waitress brought the drinks - coffee, orange juice, half & half for drinks. Didn't see her again for another 47 minutes. Keep in mind, my mother ordered a coffee. Waitress didn't even come back to the table to ask if we needed a refill or even to inform us they were short staffed in the kitchen. Entrees: #1: Ordered 3 eggs scrambled hard with American cheese, bacon, fried catfish & cheese grits. Eggs were cold, not scrambled & not fully cooked. Cheese grits were cold and soupy. Fried catfish & bacon was the only good thing on the plate. #2: ordered 2 scrambled eggs, sausage patty and wheat toast. Eggs weren't scrambled and they had cheese. Waitress did ask and was told no cheese. Food was cold. Toast was the only thing she liked. #3: ordered 2 scrambled eggs with American cheese , sausage patty & pancakes. Eggs were cold. Pancakes were the only good thing on the plate. Looks like I won't be visiting y'all again.

Attitude of waitress has ruined the potential dining experience. I wasn't prepared for the limited menu.

Good home style country cooking. Prices have gone up in recent years, but quality remains consistent. Our waitress was slow at this particular store, but that may be because of a long night spent celebrating 7/4. Do spend some time checking out their store to see some great inspirational messages hidden in plain sight; it's good for the soul.

Friends, we stopped in for dinner last evening at Cracker Barrel in Harrisburg. My wife and I ordered the special. Thursday's special was sliced turkey, sweet potatoes and stuffing. While the menu picture lured us in, take a look at the plate presentation that came out. This has the eye appeal of a Nursing home thanksgiving dinner! The turkey tasted great, but the sweet potatoes had the consistency of a thin milkshake with a few lumps. Then we have the stuffing, these were like dry cubes with their only salvation being the gravy. I mentioned how terrible the stuffing tasted and the consistency of the sweet potatoes. Our server mentioned that she didn't care for the stuffing either. When I paid the bill the clerk asked how my dinner was. I told him it was terrible and it was the worst that I've ever had a Cracker Barrel. He apologized and continued to take my money. This is not the Cracker Barrel of years ago, this is a chain that's lost its direction. I hesitate leaving comments like this, but this is the fourth time, at different locations that I've had a bad experience, and no one really cared to address it.. BTW: the server was just an innocent bystander in this mess, I think she needed her job too much to complain. We tipped her well!

Definitely not as good as it was a few years ago. Server was polite, and biscuits were excellent. A lot of stuff was on sale in the store.

It used to be called Sad Seafood. This place has been around for years and has always been known for its amazing crab cake sandwich, but today I didn't want to catch any crabs, so I got myself some fish instead. I ordered the lunch special, and I must say, the mac & cheese is very good. The cabbage, of course, were a little bland--I personally would prefer a bit more vinegar. The fish was crispy with a nice seasoning on it, too. I think it could definitely taste better, though; personally, I like a little spice or "bite" with my fish. However, I guarantee it would pair perfectly with the sweet potatoes if it were just a little bit hotter! The pricing is very reasonable, and the amount of food you get for the size is delightful. I will definitely be back--maybe next time for some crab cakes and hush puppies, especially since there are no more Long John Silver's in the Harrisburg area. I hope my review helps you decide where you want to get your food next! For more reviews, check out my YouTube channel: B L E E.

On my last visit, the service was so slow that after waiting approximately 20 minutes just for my table to be wiped and a drink to be brought, I finally got up and left. This time, the restaurant was clean, and the food arrived promptly and was served at the proper temperature. The $5 take-home meal is also a good value. However, the service could still use improvement. Our waitress repeatedly interrupted our conversation and sometimes made us feel as though we were inconveniencing her. Waitstaff should allow guests a moment to finish a sentence rather than expecting the entire table to stop talking the instant they approach. The food was adequate, but it was standard chain-restaurant fare--controlled portions without much creativity or anything that tasted especially fresh or homemade. Overall, this visit was considerably better than the last two, but both the service and food still leave room for improvement. The gift shop is probably the highlight of the whole event.
