It has been YEARS since I ate at a Cracker Barrel. Always road food to me. The road was I64 heading out of Louisville, with bumper to bumper traffic. My buddys wanted to stop to eat, and it turned out to be CB. Intimidated by the huge menu, I had a hard time deciding what to eat. I ordered the Signature Fried Chicken Dippers, basically the tenderloins, with steak fries and slaw. It was a lot of food, and I managed to eat only two pieces of chicken, dipping them in the Comeback Sauce. The sauce, a Southern version of remoulade, had a kick to it, and it was a pretty good add to the chicken. A basket of biscuits and corn muffins were brought to the table for sharing. Service was friendly, but slow. I left with a to-go box, thinking I had just stepped out of a time warp. At least, we avoided the traffic and sailed down I64. 84

We had a decent experience at Cracker Barrel. The service was great, our waitress was very kind and attentive throughout our visit. There were a few mix-ups with the order that seemed to come from the manager pushing things out too quickly, but to her credit, she fixed everything right away, which we really appreciated. As for the atmosphere, it's the classic Cracker Barrel vibe (rustic and homey) which isn't really my personal style, but it's consistent with their brand. We mainly came for the crispy pancakes, which unfortunately didn't deliver. They were soft and a bit underwhelming, so overall the breakfast was just okay. Not a bad visit, but nothing memorable either.

Allegedly a grilled cheese.

Is it just this location or all of them. Food was cold and bland. Service was tepid. I got the chicken fried chicken. Over cooked and gravy was spackling paste. Mash potatoes room temp. They weren't even 25% full and the cook couldn't even make a good grilled cheese. All three of the kid's grilled cheeses had slices that weren't melted (see photo). They basically got cheese sandwiches on toast. Not the CB I remember.

My family realized we hadn't been to Cracker Barrel in awhile and made it our dinner spot (but of course, breakfast all day!) I chose bacon and requested it a bit crispier (they delivered). I also had eggs, hash brown casserole and biscuits and gravy. The biscuits were fantastic but the gravy is quite bland. We had attentive service and the family left with full bellies. I also enjoyed shopping in their store and left with root beer for later.

Thursday Special Turkey & Dressing with okra side.

The atmosphere is casual and lively, with a sports-centric vibe and plenty of TVs for games, so it's a comfortable spot for burgers, pub fare, and drinks. It is centrally located with plenty of free parking. We tried some cocktails and local beer and for food we went for several dishes, including the deviled eggs, hamburgers, buffalo wings, the ribeye steak and other dishes I did not have time to take photos of as we were a party of 6 and too busy enjoying our time! The only item that we believe could have been a bit better was the dessert - the Ultimate Brownie (warm chocolate walnut brownie, vanilla ice cream, with chocolate & caramel sauces.). It was sweet and all, but we could tell it was made out of a box. Overall, 100% recommended and can't wait to to come back to watch a game while enjoying good drinks and food.

I hate that we are but we are lol. The food was so freaking good. The appetizer was so delicious. We got the fried deviled eggs and just wow. Crispy, fresh, and the bacon was sweet. So yummy. My husband got the chicken and waffles, which were heavenly. And the margaritas! I got the chicken pot pie, and it was the best thing I've ever eaten. It was flaky, it was rich, it was savory and just everything about it was perfect. This was one of our favorite meals we've ever had.

Highly recommend for those who are looking to have a nice steak and lobster meal that you give this place a try. Service, atmosphere, food, and drinks were all excellent. Dinner at Connors Steak & Seafood tonight with Mom and Dad delivered on all fronts…read more We kicked things off with the lobster dip, and it immediately set the tone for the evening. Rich, flavorful, and completely addictive, it disappeared fast. The warm butter rolls arrived alongside pesto butter, but I stayed loyal to regular butter. No regrets. A quick shoutout to our server, Devante. He was new, but you'd never know it. Friendly, attentive, and impressively knowledgeable about the menu, he handled everything like a seasoned pro and made the experience even better. For dinner, I ordered the chicken piccata with mashed potatoes and Brussels sprouts. While the chicken was excellent, the Brussels sprouts stole the show--perfectly cooked, packed with flavor, and easily the standout item on my plate. Dad went with the Mediterranean chicken, mashed potatoes, and broccoli. The chicken was a winner, though the broccoli was a bit tougher than expected. Mom chose the voodoo shrimp and fries, but honestly, her true love affair of the evening was with the lobster dip. I'm fairly certain she consumed enough of it for the entire table. By this point, we were all happily full. But there was still one reason to save room. The strawberry shortcake. Light, sweet, and absolutely unforgettable, it was the highlight of the entire meal. The kind of dessert that quiets the table and leaves everyone smiling after the last bite. That alone is reason enough to come back.

The burrata was so well balanced with the accompanying tomato, the tuna was so juicy and well seared, and the lemon sorbet had me dreaming of lemons for hours after. The food is genuinely worth the price point! If you care though, the restaurant is VERY plain. There is very little personality in the decor, and aside from some unconventional chairs and a tile floor by the bar, nothing really sticks out as pleasing to the eye. I chose this restaurant for Valentine's Day to have a romantic, intimate atmosphere, and the vibe was giving summer camp lunch. The floor plan is very open and super grey, with plain wood tables. Even the servers were in very casual clothing. Any other night this would have been fine, but for Valentine's Day, I wish I had picked something more romantic. Overall I really enjoyed the food here and will for sure be back, just not for any special occasions.

It's a good place to get food with a bit of a Southern edge, plus a good wine list (hence the name) and cocktails. And our meal was good. Everyone found something for them on the menu, even the kids. I got the House Pappardelle Pasta, made with wild boar ragout, confit red pearl onions, roasted garlic whipped ricotta and shaved parmesan. I got a glass of wine too. I'm also a fan of their Louisville-themed wine flights, though it would be fun to see these updated. Our server was pleasant, and we were able to easily book a reservation on their site. LouVino is a good option for a dinner party.
