    Cracker Barrel Buttermilk Biscuits

First of all there were about 25 people in the entire restaurant and about 10 waiters! We waited 50 minutes. The biscuits are usually super good! They were unbelievably burnt. The waiter was super kind though. I wish I could give this place less than 1 star but whatever.

No sausage and horrible smell. Bitter

Horrible. Ordered shrimp and grits to go. Watered down and bitter. Husband has chicken fingers, fies and slaw. He tore it up. I couldn't eat mine. So disappointed.

They call me the golf tee genius round here

So it took 30-35 minutes to be seated but we were prepared for the wait, so not a big deal. We were ready to order our food when the waitress came to take our drink orders because we were fearful of a long wait. After an hour of waiting for breakfast food I asked the waitress what kind of time we were still looking at and she told me we were still four spots back on having our order made. This was clearly unacceptable and tables around us that were seated after us were getting their food. When our food finally arrived I began eating and chewed into a piece of plastic, from where a bag was cut and a corner of the bag ended up in my food. A waitress, not ours, came out and apologized and said we wouldn't get a bill for our food. Then a manager came out with a bill and said she took $18 off of our total (I have no idea where $18 came from, just a random number I suppose). Again this was unacceptable and after some conversation the manager decided to comp our bill. After being seated within the suggested time nothing was right with this experience. The only reason we ended up here is because Wilders Cafe was closed today.

Solid consistent service and food. Staff were friendly and attentive. Always a go to when we are hungry.

Food was horrible Thursday. Food wasn't even warm and some of it was bad. Spent almost $100 on food and it was nasty.

We had a conversation with the owner who has degrees in Food Science and Culinary Arts, and is passionate about "changing the world with food." The inside is cozy, inviting, and meticulously clean. There is a small bar area and an area of table seating. Outdoor seating is available as well. The bistro is known for one of its appetizer small plates of deviled eggs. The owner said that the recipe for the eggs is one of the few things he is not wiling to share! Employees and patrons have drawn pictures of deviled eggs that are displayed on a wall space. I opted for the grilled chicken Greek salad. Greek salad is a favorite of mine and I have eaten it from numerous restaurants. By far, this was the best I have ever had. The artful presentation, fresh ingredients, and decadent flavors were a real treat. The chicken was so tender and again, the flavor bloomed in my mouth. The owner brought out a small serving of homemade peach ice cream that had been made the day before with fresh peaches. I simply have no words for how delicious it was. I will let my husband describe his experience in his yelp account, but I will say that after having salmon the night before at an 'upscale' restaurant in Louisville, he commented that the salmon at this bistro "blew it away!" People often say "I will return and try other menu options," when in fact they do not follow through. That will not be the case with us, we both agree that we cannot wait to return!

Once again we found an absolute GEM of a spot just out kicking around. In conversation with the owner we discovered that he has degrees in both culinary arts and food science. His blended knowledge in these areas contributes to exquisite dishes. My wife had an exceptional Greek salad w/ chicken while I opted for a mixed green salad with grilled salmon; easily the finest piece of fish I have eaten in Louisville. It was grilled to perfection with a spice mixture of his own creation which he would not divulge! At the end of the meal we were severed a sample of his homemade peach ice cream. If you prescribe to the old adage that eating out is about the food not the upscale expensive vibe than this place is it! We will be back again soon!

I have heard of this place through Social Media and people I know. I wasn't too sure what it was…read morebefore but, I heard local bands and musicians would perform here. I also heard it was a bar and restaurant. What brought me here, Burger week of course. I go here after getting off work one evening. Entering the parking lot it was packed but I found a space close to the entrance. I go in and I asked if I could sit at the bar because it was just me and was told that I could. I sit at the bar and I do get service in a good amount of time. I got the Pizza Burger which was their specialty and the Mozzarella Moons (another term for mozzarella sticks) except they are moon shaped. Very good. Then came the pizza burger. Pepperoni, cheese and marinara on a burger patty. Loved the crisp pepperoni and the cheese and marinara sauce. Can't say I ever had a burger like that and even told the bartender that was my favorite burger for burger week. Service, food and atmosphere was good for the most part. Apparently they have their staff try to push dessert sales for an S/O (Shoutout). Nothing wrong with trying to sell desserts but, idk how that sits with other employees like it's a competition or something. I didn't order the dessert and their choices looked good. I was full and thought maybe next time. I definitely want to come back and try their other foods at some point but, I don't come to this end very much. They had a band playing as I left and the crowd seemed to love it. I would love to bring friends here.

We came in time for happy hour and didn't have an issue getting a large patio table in the shade, plus one of each of the promoted appetizers. Those items were probably my favorite - the pretzels with beer cheese, the wings, and queso with chips. I spotted a couple of friends, ordering the fish and fries. Several others, including myself, ordered pizza. I opted for the hand tossed pepperoni pizza with hot honey. I'm quite wimpy when it comes to spice and this was not overly hot for me. Blind Squirrel continues to shine for its patio dining, beers, volleyball courts, and live bands. However, the food is only average and not a place that I would recommend for meals.
