Avoid if possible. Any of the other steak houses are better quality meat. Had to send 2 filets back for being really under cooked and when they came back they were ground hamburger meat. The salt and pepper were atrocious...enough to make your nose run. Sides, sub par. Mac n cheese was okay, with no seasoning. Mashed potatoes were nothing special. Their bread as always is terrific and hard to pass up, but the buffalo bites for lunch and they were good. Had a little zip to them with the Tabasco sauce, but I finished them gladly. Used to love the LaGrange location and our favorite server (Brad) and were sad to move away. Took a recent trip back (Brad was off), and found the restaurant to be dirty, and service severely lacking. It was not busy and there was plenty of staff, but they were playing on their phones and goofing off, talking about how hard they work because as one girl put it, she's worked on her birthday. Meanwhile, all tables around us either had empty glasses or weee waiting on tickets for close to 30 minutes. On the positive side, the food was as good as we remembered. I'm pretty snobby when it comes to food. Typically don't eat in LaGrange, we usually head into Louisville for food, BUT tonight we went to Cattleman's (thanks for the gift cards grandpa) Our waiter Cory was so nice and provided great service. We had fresh drinks at the perfect time, you know right when your drink is getting to be watered down but you still have to much of it to ask for a refill. We started with the salad bar, which was clean and full of fresh ingredients and they have potato sticks, which I love. Husband and I both got steaks. Here I always order mine a step down, so I ordered medium rare, it was closer to medium but just what I wanted. Husbands got a ribeye and gave me a bite, it was cooked well and had a ton of flavor. We both got loaded baked potatoes that were really loaded up with cheese and butter. Potatoes were cooked just right. Since we got the salad bar and had rolls we didn't finish our dinner but have enough for another meal, which I'm always happy to have left overs. Overall food and drink were great, service was nice. If you're in LaGrange and don't want to head into Louisville Cattleman's is going to be your best choice for a steak dinner. Sorry for no pictures, I was so hungry I forgot. read more

We were driving through the area on a 12+ hour day trip. It's a easy on and off the interstate and appeared to be a nice sitdown place that would not be too pricey. The yelp food pictures also looked amazing. We were not disappointed. We were in and out in less than 40 minutes. Salad bar, steaks, vegetables, drinks; everything was really good. The salad bar was fresh and was not missing a thing. My husband sirloin was cooked to a perfect medium and has a texture more of a fillet than a sirloin. They did have a nice salad bar from the looks of it, and the sweet potato with butter and brown sugar was very good. My husband ordered a fillet and I ordered a strip steak and honestly we couldn't tell the difference between them. He may as well saved the $20 and ordered the strip steak. We both ordered our steak medium but they really were more like medium well and his baked potato was very good. He did order an old fashion and it was very tasty. The waitress came back and said they made the cook put a hairnet on, a little to late, and that the manager was going to take 50% off the price of my son's meal. Not the waitress' fault of course. We are here last night. The experience left much for improvement! I will give them props for their salad bar. It was very very good but I did go for a steak! We ordered the cowboy 16oz ribeye and the 7 oz filet. Both were ordered med rare. The ribeye was thin and didn't look like 16 oz AND it varies in doneness from med rare to med well. It was not cooked well at all. The filet was "cooked" right but (I am struggling for the right words to describe it) was not seasoned at all and actually had a "watery" taste to it. Management took it back and offered a ribeye. It was ordered med rare. It came out blue in the middle.
