My family and I arrived around 1pm for lunch and were seated right away. Food was good. The fried chicken was the highlight. Crispy, moist, seasoned just right. Lemon pepper grilled rainbow trout was decent, just nothing extraordinary. Sides did the job, nothing amazing. Prices are reasonable. Service acceptable but could use improvement. Waitress forgot one thing we ordered and wasn't very helpful in identifying peanut free options. Restaurant decor is unique, lots to keep you visually entertained. Our Waitress Maria was horrible! Ignored us for twenty minutes until we asked for a server. We ordered soup and dinner. We never received our soups and my husband never got his hash browns that came with his dinner. When you first approach this Cracker Barrel it makes you feel like your down south with the old fashioned rocking chairs outside and the wood cabin feel of the restaurant. Once you walk in you first enter there little shop which sells everything from clothing to candy , once you zig zag your way across the shop you go to the entrance of the restaurant and that's when the real fun begins, all the walls of covered from top to bottom with novelty items like saws or chairs or photos and fun facts it's so fascinating to look at. Once you sit your greeted for your drink orders and given a little time to go over the menu which is full of many many choices . As you wait to eat each table has a little board game to keep you occupied while you wait . Worst Cracker Barrel in Pennsylvania. We stopped in and were told to expect a 30 minute wait but ended up waiting for 58 minutes. After being seated a server, not the assigned person, came to take our drink order and informed us that it would take at least 45 minutes for the kitchen to get to our order. She didn't know why management wasn't informing customers of this wait. The dining room had several empty tables available. Being diabetic I tried to get a glass of apple juice as my sugar level was dropping and was informed that they were out of it. At this point we left and headed for the door. On the way out I saw a woman with a tablet mooning over the blouse that a woman customer was wearing. After waiting several minutes I FINALLY asked her for the name of the manager. Turns out that she WAS the manager. I asked her if she and the kitchen staff were always this incompetent to which I was told that they didn't ALLOW that term to be used. After much "discussion" I was offered the opportunity to be reseated and pushed to the front of the queue. I declined, left, and had a better breakfast just up the road. I was responsible for over $10 million in accounts when I was working. If a coworker was backed up I was out there working WITH the workers and not schmoozing with customers about their apparel. AFAIAC this manager needs retraining. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere for a better meal. read more

Service is really slow and the bathrooms are really gross. They need to be deep cleaned and things need to be replaced. There was no toilet paper in two stalls and the trash cans were overflowing. At 7:30 on a Tuesday, how can there be an hour wait for a table for 1 when there are only 4 people waiting outside on the rocking chairs? I always love Cracker Barrels. This one however has filthy disgusting bathrooms. I mean you can see a months build up and grime around the toilets. The urinals literally have discoloration inside and haven't been cleaned properly in years. They have stuff caked on the side. someone is gonna get a disease from using it. The food however is really good. The dinning room is fairly clean. But id hate to see how many food violations they have if the bathrooms look like that. read more

This I have to say, is my first visit ever to Cracker Barrel, but never my last!! I fell in love today. It has a great atmosphere along with some excellent food, and some excellent staff. I wish I had been a customer long ago. It made me bring back tastes I hadn't had since being a child, and an experience that is nothing short of extraordinary. I enjoyed their Chicken special, as you can see, and couldn't find a thing wrong. The corn, Mashed Potatoes, Chicken was all spot on and all I could ask for. Bryan our waiter, was excellent and was very attentive. My Date had the Apple Cider Chicken and that was also tasty as all get out. I felt like I was at the Waltons Family Dinner Table!! I finished my meal and went to the store and had to look through the vintage soda and all the unbelievable what not's in the store. I could spend tons of time and money here. Ordered curb side pick up and food took 20 min longer then the time they said it would be ready. You would think with a extra 20 min on top of the original 20 min to prepare my food that they would have at least got my order right? Wrong!!! I had the worst experience of my life at this restaurant. I ordered my eggs over medium when they came out they were way over cooked. I asked my waitress I think her name was patty for 2 new eggs please when she started arguing that my eggs were fine. Finally she angrily said she would put in a new order over easy even though I repeatedly asked her to put them in over medium. She claimed that if she put them in over medium they would be the same. What can be said about Cracker Barrel that hasn't been said a million times before? It's just a terrific place to come with a family to get good food at a great price. Whether you're in the mood for breakfast at any hour of the day, or some biscuits and sawmill gravy........the menu is vast and the staff at any location I've ever visited has been very friendly. The gift shop also smells so good it makes you want to have a seat and relax for a while........it's also has plenty of retro candy from yesteryear to bring you back to a simpler time. Same place, same time, different year. The lunch, brunch food that we ordered was good and the prices reasonable. We had asked to be seated near the fireplace. The good news is, we were. The uh, bad news, it was not on that day. Oh well. The place is pretty, quaint and charming. Had our waitress Olivia opened her mouth to say more, it might not have been so pretty. It seemed clear to me that her other customers warranted more of her time and courtesy, when I asked her to remove 2 drinking glasses from the small cluttered table. Walking around I took a few pictures. I found one poster, in view, near the kitchen door. It was interesting what it says on it and that it had multiple signatures on it. Because these are what I believe to be the employee's signatures, I deleted the picture. Apparently, this area was not for customers and the poster was for staff. Though the very interesting oath was written as a Brand Promise from Cracker Barrel to provide friendly home away from home service in the store and restaurant, treating the guest like family while they relaxed and enjoyed home style food and shopped in the unique store with fun and reminiscent items of America's country heritage. Overall, I did find them to make efforts to fulfill this oath. Though this trip, I found nothing super special or of need, so I didn't buy anything, there was lots of stuff in the souvenir shop, from bric-a-brac, and clothing, to music. I had such fond memories of this restaurant from childhood and decided to order from them today. I ordered a fruit crumble with ice cream. The dessert basically looked like someone dumped a half a can of peaches into a styrofoam cup and the itsy bitsy scoop of ice cream was on the side. I was at least expecting fresh fruit since they said "in season fruit" on their menu. This was the most distasteful dessert I have encountered. Don't come to this location if you are a mom that needs to breast pump! We were finally brave enough to go out to eat for the first time after having a baby. As an exclusive pumper with a strict pumping schedule I planned to pump in the car while the family put our name in and got a table and ordered. We get there and park (not a busy night at all) and the family puts our name in. I get a call while midway through pumping that the table is ready but they won't seat anyone until all members of the party are present. Even after explaining the situation they don't allow anyone to be seated. So everyone is hungry and waiting on me to finish before they can sit and order. Once I am done and rush inside with milk in hand and they finally allow us to be seated. Server was great-no complaints about him. But the food took forever to get to us and I hardly had enough time to eat before I had to leave once again to go back out to the car to pump again since they delayed our ordering until we were all "present". I'm frustrated because I feel like if I had been inside actively nursing my son they would have allowed us to be seated because legally they can't hold that against me but because I had to pump (and wanted a semi private location such as my car rather than inside the restaurant itself for all to see) it felt like they were discriminating. Just a word of caution that if you plan to come here as a breastfeeding/pumping mom. read more

Was ok visit - The place is decorated with old photos. I wonder if they have any significance to who started Cracker Barrel or the C.B. history The service was ok. I went with the foil chicken with carrots, potatoes and sweet corn on the cob. It was somewhat bland. But the chicken was very juicy and tender. The C.O.B was sweet. The sweet tea was on the money. The right amount of sugar to call it sweet tea. And few lemons made it even better. Dessert was a fudge brownie with Graham cracker crust, marsh mellows and top with a half of Hershey bar with a scoop of ice cream. Sounds delicious but the fudge brownie was not tasty at all. I'm a Cracker Barrel fan and usually order breakfast, this time I ordered their new 4 piece fried chicken dinner. The chicken was good, maybe a bit too much breading, but it was moist on the inside. I've never had their Mac n Cheese before and I didn't realize what I had been missing, it was delicious and very creamy. I ordered my 2 grandson's milk and was disappointed it was served in a carton and I had to pour it in the cups and put the lids on. Our server was terrible. Not friendly at all. Complained about other customers and never smiled. Spent 5 minutes chatting at another table with regulars. We waived down another server and she was clueless and also not friendly. The food- They messed up my drink and forgot our biscuits. The burgers were sad and thin. My bun was soggy. The store part is a hodge podge of stuff. The cashier told us to tip and claims she meant to say something else (we planned to and did, not that it was deserved, but thanks for the not so subtle reminder). My wife and I come here every year the day we travel home to New York from our annual trip to Lancaster. We like Cracker Barrel simply because we don't have any near us back home. On this trip we were seated immediately and our waitress took our order quickly. My wife loves the apple streusel french toast so she had her mind made up before she sat down at the table. Having had a pancake the size of a manhole cover at Jeanie's Diner the previous day, I opted for the regular french toast. The food was great. It's always good to start a four hour drive back home on a full stomach. Cracker Barrel always sees that we leave that way each and every year. Depending on when you go the wait time is anywhere from 10-30 minutes. Checked in on the app. Was supposed to be a 50 minute wait. After an hour and a half went to the hostess station and was told it should be soon. 15 minutes later we get a text. Server was very nice and attentive. Food was not good. My pancakes were not cooked and tasted like onions or something. Server kept apologizing. I mean it's not his fault he didn't cook it.
