Disappointed in take out service. I prepaid for a large breakfast order, scheduled it for a 9:45 pick up. Got there at 10 and checked my order receipt and it said pick up at 11:01am. I asked could they just put in the order now did not place blame on anything or anyone. I wish I remember the man's name about 5'5 with short grey hair said "it will Be ready at 11:01." The young lady that was working there was embarrassed. I asked her to please just donate my meal to someone because I was not going to leave and come back when all they had to do was just put in my order. Today's date is 5/5/2024. The best thing about this location is the amazing staff. We had the pleasure of having China as our server and also Alexia came to our table and we had amazing conversation with her. She was super funny and made us laugh, it was such a wonderful experience. China was so kind and efficient. Everything was superb. We live over 2 hours away but we will make it a point to come back on our way back north due to these ladies. Not impressed. A chain location that has given up. The store looked tired, our waitress acted tired, and the kitchen was tired of putting out correct orders since they messed our all up. Now the biscuits were good and some other waitresses, like the one​ who brought​ out our food,​ were energetic. Unremarkable food made wrong. The tea had unfortunate effects​ on all of us and caused a pit stop down the road. Overpriced​ for the quality and service.....never good to hear the server complain openly about a tip. Luv the Barrel! Break Fast! The most important meal of the day and I do mean FAST! Just off exit 191 on I-95, your food is practically waiting for you when you cruise down the ramp. You don't even have time to browse the knickknacks in the general store. Just sit your tush down and eat! Well, you have to peruse the extensive menu first and then after you order, those eggs, bacon & pancakes fly out of the kitchen! The only way to get your pancakes faster is if Amazon delivered them by radio controlled drone. I ordered the blueberry pancakes with turkey sausage patties this time. They were hot, fluffy, tasty and came with a warm jar of blueberry syrup, mmmmm... Fast, consistent & efficient service while serving good down home comfort food is what Cracker Barrel is all about. That big yellow sign is always a welcome sight along the highway when we're away from home. Do I need another cast iron frying pan? The luggage handling gorillas at MCO & LGA are gonna love it. And they have Moon Pies! But I love browsing through all the tchotckes in the country store, with a lot of snack items not usually seen in stores around home. If Cracker Barrel is known for anything it's consistency, sure we all can somewhat appreciate its country store marketing, but I've never known anyone that has said "I think I'm going to run over to Cracker Barrel to do a little shopping" people come here for the down home cooking and friendly service. I've admittedly eaten at my share of these farm house themed venues and for the most part have had pretty good experiences because once again they tend to be consistent. This location will never stand out in my mind as one of those locations I will plan to stop at when planning a trip it was just okay, the staff was friendly enough and the product was okay not outstanding by any sense of the word but it filled the void. It always comes down to management and training and this location doesn't feel like it is well managed or at least not at the floor level. There also seems to be some training issues, little things like checking to ensure the dishes are clean, the product is displayed correctly and it's at least warm when served. It does help that even the most mediocre meal is served up here with a smile but somewhat frustrating when you have to play musical plates to figure out who ordered what because the food server was not the same person who took the order. The behind the counter "sales person" was well versed in spontaneous purchasing technics when I cashed out he made sure to ask all the right questions about the meal and was quick to point out the specials from old fashion bubble gum to coconut rainbow candy and even made a point to remind me it's never to early to get my Christmas Shopping started being its already mid October and the Country Store is filled to capacity with Christmas ornaments as well as Halloween and Thanksgiving gifts for those last minute procrastinating shoppers. read more

This year no family was going to be around for Thanksgiving. It seemed crazy to make a turkey and a bunch of food for just my husband and I. I had looked at several places charging upwards of $55 per person for granted a nice meal, but there were items that we weren't that fond of. Then I heard Cracker Barrel was going to be open for Thanksgiving and doing take out as well. For between $12.99 to $16.99 depending on if you wanted pumpkin pie, we could have all the things we like for Thanksgiving for less than the price of one meal at a fancy place. It was Super Organized, the tables inside were packed, the tables outside were packed, there must have been 30 people in line waiting to get in. I followed the signs for Take out around to the back kitchen door. I handed my slip I printed out on my computer to the women at the back door, they told me to pull up behind the car in front of me, and within minutes she had my Thanksgiving dinner placed in the carseat next to me. Piping hot, 100% correct. I took it home, put everything on good dishes on the dining table, it looked amazing. We were both just as full as we would have been had the whole family come home. Best part, I didn't have a ton of dishes to clean up, pots, pans casserole dishes. As we sat back down to watch football, I thought, hmm nothing to be sad about, we had a great meal. Cracker Barrel is one of those places you can always count on, the food is pleasent, the people are friendly, and they have a good atmosphere. But the one in Viera near Walmart has major problems right now with management and staffing. On November 16 we waited 25 minutes for a table, although we noticed several empty and many dirty tables when seated. Food was late, turnip green pepper sauce was not available (we found out only later), and an order of carrots disappeared. After staring at our food for about 5 minutes we had to chase someone down for silverware. After the silverware was delivered we had to again chase someone down again to find out that they were out of pepper sauce and carrots. The manager came over by request, said they had a bigger than expected turnout, and offered us free slices of pie, which we refused. Next time we go to Titusville to get a Cracker Barrel fix. The servers here were completely overwhelmed, too many customers for short staffing. The management at this hell hole needs to be replaced. read more

We made a pitstop on the way down to ft Lauderdale. The place was packed, but it was only a 5 minute wait. We sat on Donna's section; and let me tell you, she is just pure sunshine! She was fun and friendly with us. She sang and joked. She really made our experience fun! The food was good, my bacon wasn't crispy enough at first but Donna fixed that right up. She couldn't have been more apologetic, even though it wasn't a big deal to me. I always say a server can make or break your dining experience, & she really had us leaving in a fantastic mood. I love Cracker Barrel, its my vacation spot for Breakfast / Dinner. This one is special because its close to moms house. Why cook in a hot kitchen when you can come here for dinner?? My 15 year old can get pancakes and I have catfish and grits with a big sweet tea. yummmm Those rocking chairs are there for a reason. Waiting for me after dinner to play checkers with my sons! Excellent breakfast and brunch restaurant. I really love the biscuits and always ask for the honey as it is a good combination. My favorite is pancakes with REAL Maple syrup and eggs and crisp bacon. Cracker Barrel is a place we go regularly here and there when traveling in our RV for a good, hot meal. It's like any other Cracker Barrel to be honest. Nice little gift shop and nice servers. We were under the impression that Cracker Barrels in FL aren't too keen on overnight parking from RV's and we hadn't initially planned on staying there, but we had a RV problem and called to see if they allowed it. This one does as of Feb. 2018. Nice, lighted spaces that fit our 33 ft RV fine. When we arrived, cars were in RV/BUS spots so that was annoying, but we found a spot and it wasn't packed. Cameras are always in the parking lot and it felt safe enough. It's next to a hotel and there were some shifty people (loud, shirtless men) walking around shouting at one another, but with lots of public around (Wal-Mart, gas stations) and lights and cameras, it didn't worry us too much. Our server that evening was really friendly and professional, attentive and very sweet. The food was very good, fresh and the manager came around to make sure our food was to preference. The next morning, our server was nice, but very busy and she seemed rush, but this didn't deter us, it was breakfast and it was busy. We got what we needed and were out of there quickly which we preferred. Our clerk at the cashier was very nice and friendly. I don't typically have any gripes with Cracker Barrel. I've been to probably a hundred of them and they are all basically the same. read more

My daughter and I went in for breakfast, around the noonish hour. Was not that busy. My french toast was awful I mean how do you mess up french toast? The bread they used didnt even soak up the egg you drag the french toast through, bacon came out raw sent it back, ate pretty much off my duaghters plate, she had some fried chicken patty that she made a chicken and biscuit out of, chicken was okay and the biscuits were the best part. I wont be back. I think this place is going downhill and fast. Its more like off the interstate fast food than a home cooked meal. I had not been in quite sometime and now I remember why. pfft. CB will send you a text with a check-in option, and ask for your parking spot location. I'm not sure if they are understaffed or if anyone checks the online option for orders, but we sat in the car for about 20 min. Finally decided to go in. We weren't sure where to go, so we stood in line at the hostess table and waited for about 5 min while they checked in other guest ahead of us. When we finally got to the hostess, they pointed us to the front counter and low-and-behold, there was a line there as well. By the time we got our food in hand, it was about 33 min after it said our order would be ready. When we got home, everything was cold. Going to break this review up into two sections. 4 stars for dining in. Food is pretty consistent while dining in. However, food readiness various. I've been there and the restaurant be pretty dead but the food still took a very long time to get on the table. Then others times during the lunch rush food came faster which is weird but ok. Never have had a bad meal from dining in. 1 star for take out ordering. On several occasions they have left out food items that were paid for and clearly on the order. Learning my lesson, I check all my food before leaving the restaurant. Just today they forgot my salad. But it adds up quickly the amount of food I haven't gotten. Today's meal I was particularly disappointed. I ordered biscuits and gravy. Biscuits tasted pretty old. Gravy was horrible, thin like water. My salad was literally thrown in the box, deviled eggs upside down. I've frequent Cracker Barrel less and less over the years. And this is the reason why. They really need to work on to go orders. We're the same customers if we were sitting there and I'd expect the same quality of food. read more

I went there for a second time, because it was a place that my friends and I could agree on. It took almost 45 minutes for the food to come out which my friends who have been there many times stated it never takes that long. I ordered breakfast and the fruit was moldy, I had to send the fruit back 3 times because it was not fresh, after the third time, the waitress who seemed overwhelmed, stated that she picked the best ones. Still moldy. I asked a different waitress passing for a manager. The original waitress came over and said 'the manager is busy right now, what can I do for you?' Of course I had already sent the fruit back and at that point i just wasn't hungry anymore. Don't get me wrong, the cashier offered to comp my meal, but I declined, it's not fair for the company to lose out on the money just because the service was bad. I like Cracker Barrel. We have been getting breakfast carry out almost every Sunday. Love the chicken fried chicken and the hash brown casserole keeps us coming back. We tried online ordering, though, and we weren't too impressed. The first three times, I would order and get there 30 min later. When I got there and paid, I waited 15-30 min to get my food. That wasn't very convenient. This last time I actually didn't have to wait too long but when I got home, I found a chicken fried chicken patty with a tiny scoop of gravy. It was hard to eat. So dry. Also, eggs are a hit or miss. I like over easy, but I either get runny egg white or solid egg yolk. read more

The server would disappear for long stretches of time. We had to wait extremely long for drink refills and the check. My daughter fell asleep and did not touch her food. The server never got a to-go box and we had to leave food at restaurant. When we check out, I asked for the kids meal to be taken off because she wasn't able to take it home. A lady next to the lady checking me out spoke up and said, I'm always having to take things off for you. She continued to tell me and everyone around that she had to take off something for me last week. I explained to her I hadn't been in the store for about a month and I used the QR scan so I don't have to wait in line. She looked at me and said well then you must have a twin who came with your kids. Up until this point, all I wanted to say and do was have the six-dollar meal off the ticket. At this point I asked to speak with the manager and a young bald man came out. I explained the situation and the rude woman continued to justify and excuse me of having a twin. It was obvious to me that she would accuse me of a scam. The manager started with a corporate spill and I just told him to ring my ticket and let me go. I asked for the manager's name and didn't get it or I might not have heard it. I don't even know where to start with how unbelievable this situation has occurred. I will NEVER SET FOOT IN ANOTHER CRACKER BARREL. I will make it my mission to tell at least 75 people this story. I have never written anything bad on somebody or something like this situation. All in all, I can understand that the server was having a bad day. I probably would have not even argued over the six dollars. Everytime I come to Cracker Barrel, I feel like Ricky Bobby. And what's scary is I begin to talk like him too. The service is very friendly and prompt, but there's usually a wait because this place is busy being right off I 95 and all. The gift store really annoys me, with all their Chinese junk in there, which will grab the attention of your children quite quickly and they will beg you till they get something. But there is a lot of candy and stuff if you happen to be on a road trip which is good. Bathrooms are usually clean and functional, in the food is usually prepared very well.
