I was really craving Cracker Barrel so I was excited at the opportunity to go for brunch yesterday. A lot seems to have changed for the worse since the last time I visited. There is a parking lot on site, but it was very busy and I had to circle a few times before finding a spot. I love that they allow online waitlist, so I was able to put us on the list before we arrived, cutting our wait from 30 minutes to being next! Genius. However, the food just wasn't the same. The scrambled eggs were so dry. My bf got the steak and eggs and said the meat had no flavor. The biggest disappointment was the lack of bread. Apparently if you get pancakes, there's no complimentary rolls or cornbread included. With steak and eggs you get exactly 2 pieces of bread. We only got one eaten before the server picked up the basket with the other. Bummer. Otherwise, the ambiance was the same as Cracker Barrel. Old timey. From the moment we walked in the door, we were treated as an inconvenience. It took 5 minutes to get seated. We were the only ones in line and the place was almost empty. Once seated it took almost 10 minutes to even get acknowledged. We almost got up and left when the server finally came to our table to take our order. We were very hungry so we stayed. After giving our order, I pulled up Yelp and saw they had a 2.6 rating. YIKES!!Perhaps we still should have left?? The clockis ticking. Only three tables with guests and it's been 15 minutes since we placed our order and no drinks brought to the table. Plenty of laughing going on in the kitchen. The server was pleasant, but obviously there is no leadership/management on this shift. Cracker Barrel Aug 13, 2026. EMBER was our server & she was good & checked on us a couple of times to make sure we had everything we needed. I haven't been to this Cracker Barrel in at least 10 years. It seemed overly loud today. Of course, I know that the restaurant doesn't have a lot of control over the noise level, but it was a little annoying trying to talk to my friend over all the noise. I got the Uncle Herschel's breakfast. I chose the grilled catfish as my meat and the cinnamon spiced apples as my other side. I asked for over easy eggs and one of them was but the other was flat and cooked all the way through. I guess the yolk broke and they just cooked it and served it and didn't bother to get a new egg. No big deal I guess. I did not mention it. Not worth sending back to the kitchen for a properly cooked over easy egg. I have never really counted the number of apple slices in my cinnamon apples because the bowl was always piled high. But today I couldn't help but count them because there were only four small slices. They didn't even really fill up the bowl. Very Very Disappointing. Wish I had taken a photo. My food was delicious and I ended up having to take home half the catfish, a biscuit and the apples, which is usually what I have to do since I can't eat it all. Today is the first time in a very long time since I have dined here. The Health Score at 79 was troubling. The server Ayala was wonderful!! The restaurant was clean and relaxing as it was not a busy time. Our food came quickly and it was delicious. The Grandma's Sampler was filling. Served at a hot temperature. No complaints at all. First, I must give a compliment to the lady who was cleaning the bathroom near the end of her am shift. The bathroom smelled good and was so nice and clean. I've been to some restaurants where the lack of cleanliness of the bathroom has caused me to walk out. Please give her a raise/pay increase because she deserves it and I'm pretty sure you're not paying her enough. Our waitress, Adrianna, was awesome. This one will be short and sweet. Cracker Barrel is that goto restaurant that will rarely stir you wrong. Breakfast is what I always get, must get pancakes everytime, those crispy edges....yummy! FYI they have mimosas starting at 12pm, strawberry, peach, and the original orange juice. They do have a full menu though. The customer service is always A1. Started out the hostess gave me only a dirty knife. I asked for another set and she did it. Our waitress finally arrived at our table and brought us coffee and took our order. She didn't show up again and asked another to ask if she would let our waitress know we needed more coffee. She brought out regular but not decaf. Food was good but eggs were cool. The 2 stars goes to our server only - she was friendly and polite. Otherwise, arrived at 11:00 and was instructed by the hostess of a 25-35 minutes. We were able to wait outside on the rocking chairs and it was a beautiful morning. Once 40 minutes passed, I thought to check with the hostess, who was a different person. She had no record of our names in her computer. I told her we arrived at 11:00 and that someone else checked us in. She asked the other hostess who did check us in. The other hostess asserted "I know I added y'all to the waitlist", and they sat us down. Had I not come in, we would've been waiting forever. Although they sat us quickly after realizing their mistake, there was no acknowledgement "I apologize" and just blamed it on the computer. Our server was very nice which is why I even have two stars. The food was blah and lacked seasoning and taste. Got the big boy breakfast and the only edible thing was the loaded hash brown casserole and scrambled egg. Plenty of tables available but still told I had to wait 10 minutes for a table. Gave the hostess my cell phone number and told that I'd be texted as soon as a table was ready. After 15 minutes of waiting I left and went next door to the IHOP, in which I was seated immediately. I got the text from the Cracker Barrel as my food got to my table at the IHOP. We ordered meat loaf, carrots, turnip greens and green beans. We had to ask twice for napkins and bread. No follow up when order was received. No drink refill. Meatloaf was terrible. Not even covering it with ketchup helped it. It was dry and bland. The veggies were all over cooked and mushy. The biscuits and corn muffins were good. This will be our last trip to this location. The server returned to the table and said they were out of peach cobbler. We're in Georgia, the peach state, and they're out of peach cobbler. So we instead ordered three chocolate cakes, which includes vanilla ice cream. The server returned to our table again and said they were out of vanilla ice cream. I asked the server if there was a discount without ice cream, which is supposed to be included at no extra charge. She went and asked the manager and the manager said "no discount." Wow, really? I order a curbside pickup. Once I pulled in on time, I called the number to let the company know that I was present. The phone cycled THREE times, hearing the greeting THREE times, pressing (1) THREE times and not a single answer. We waited to be seated and as we were waiting we could see the waitstaff on there phones, standing around, walking pass us not saying anything. I finally went to the lady at the merchandise register and asked if she could call someone. Still waited and finally someone comes out the area(that we could see from where we were standing) to ask us how many, grab menus and start to walk as we follow. He walks past a waiter and asks, " if they want us."That waiter says I'm off, and they both walk away and go to the back. We wait yet again and they are talking to one another then peep out to look at us then go back in again. We are standing there. I finally just decided to walk out. Usually, a wait is expected when there are large crowds. This day, in particular, several graduates and their families chose to eat at Cracker Barrel for brunch. We were contemplating on leaving until we were promised a 20 minute wait, which wasn't long.
