Egg n' Cheese Hashbrown Casserole with Sausage

Brunch date with the hubby around 11:00. Not too busy we were seated right away. We ordered hash brown bowl, side of pancakes ( bc who doesn't eat pancakes at CB) and steak breakfast plates. Both were okay. Steak was sent back bc it was way too overcooked when we ordered medium. Hash brown bowl was okay it does need more gravy or sauce or extra sausage in it. It was just missing something to be amazing. The pancakes were good with the warm syrup and biscuits were tasty. The waitress was so nice, happy, and friendly!! The best part of coming in.

Extremely slow slow service. The food was OK. I've had better food at other Cracker Barrel's. the chicken and dumplings honestly had about six dumplings in it and the portions on everything were smaller than usual. Maybe that's par for the course nowadays.

The meatloaf dinner was a sad, skinny little meatloaf with hard hashbrown casserole.

Food was okay. Mediocre at best. Sweet tea was perfect. Overall, disappointing considering how good other Cracker Barrels can be.

When i come here if feels like grandmas house ., the best pancakes ever , and just got a great tip from our waitress she told us you can substitute any sides to pancakes for 1.99$ !

Burnt hashbrown casserole on top of my shepherds pie. Sent it back and the second one was also burnt. Smh.

Service was okay, however I order the Shepherds Pie and the hashbrown casserole on top was burnt with what appeared to be an eyelash hair on top. Unfortunately, the replacement shepherds pie was also burnt and yes it was a different entree. Very disappointed.

The best thing about this place is the cornbread muffin! I wish they would give us more than one per person. I ordered the chicken fried steak with mac and cheese, hash brown casserole, and house salad with ranch. I've been to Cracker Barrel lots of times throughout my life but it's never a consistent patronage . I normally go during breakfast hours because I love the pancakes with crispy edges. Anyway the meal I had this time was mid. The breading on the steak was mushy so there was no crunch to the fried steak at all. The flavor was decent, the gravy was really thick too. I couldn't remember if I liked the hash brown casserole or not, after this visit I can say that I will not be ordering this again. The mac and cheese is just like generic restaurant macaroni. The salad was okay, it's pretty hard to mess up salad. It would've been better if it came with eggs or I was even offered some crackers. Our waitress was pleasant, even though she wasn't the best with refilling water. Our food came out fast. It was fairly mild inside the restaurant since it was later on a Sunday evening. As a black person it's weird going to a place targeted towards old white folks. It's like a record scratch when we walk through.

So-- have not been here in a while, and unfortunately after tonight, I don't think I'll come back. Cracker Barrel used to have some of the best food in Oklahoma City, everything used to come out hot and fresh. My families meal tonight was not great. We all got the Country fried steak, mashed potatoes (with gravy) and fried okra. The steak had the least amount of gravy about the size of a quarter. The mashed potatoes were cold. And the okra was chewy ( like it had been fried earlier in the day) The pandemic has clearly not done them any favors. There are better restaurants in okc that serve similar items.

We love this place. Great food and service. Where are the customers!

I can't believe that we are almost alone here. This place is always busy. We had a great breakfast with a friendly server.

Made it feel relaxed without being a whole thing about ambiance. I got the giant buttermilk pancake, mostly because it kept coming up whenever I looked the place up. It's genuinely big. Soft through the middle, not too sweet, and the salted butter on top does a lot of the work there. My colleague had the grilled cheese and I tried a bite and honestly considered ordering one myself. The sourdough had good crunch, cheese was properly melty, and the fries were still hot when they showed up, which sounds like a low bar but isn't always. Food came out faster than I expected, which was lucky since we were on a work lunch and didn't have a ton of time.

My only small complaint was that initial service was a bit sluggish when we first sat down, taking almost fifteen minutes just to get water and take our drink order, and my side of fries came out pretty limp and inconsistent compared to how crispy the tots were. The atmosphere is vibrant, modern, and full of energy with industrial-chic décor, warm Edison lighting, colorful accents, and an open, welcoming vibe that makes you want to linger over another cup of coffee. The food? Simply outstanding. The avocado toast was a showstopper--thick slices of perfectly toasted bread topped with creamy avocado, perfectly cooked eggs, fresh arugula, and a rich balsamic glaze that brought every bite together. Fresh, flavorful, and beautifully plated. The homemade sausage patties were some of the best I've had. You could taste the difference immediately--well-seasoned, juicy, and packed with flavor, paired perfectly with eggs and a cheesy hash brown casserole that was rich and comforting. The pancakes were nothing short of divine. Light, fluffy, buttery, and melt-in-your-mouth delicious. Whether topped with warm blueberry compote or enjoyed with whipped butter and maple syrup, they were cooked to perfection and easily one of the highlights of the meal. Our waiter also kept resting his hand on the back partition of the booth directly behind my partner while talking to us. It came across as overly comfortable and lacking professional etiquette. Most people don't want strangers that close in their personal space while they're dining, especially during a birthday breakfast.
