A consistent experience this evening at the Cracker Barrel. We arrived in time for dinner and enjoyed a meatloaf plate with mac & cheese and green beans for me and a French Toast for Mrs. K. Service was attentive without being too much. The restaurant was clean and the restrooms were in okay shape. Bins needed to be emptied but that's what I usually find in the evening. After dinner, we moved the campervan to the far end of the lot, locked up and had a great night's sleep despite the proximity to the road. Overall, great stuff. We're big fans of Cracker Barrel because of their support of the RV life and if we're having a meal in the area when we're parking up, it's at CB! I have not dined in a Cracker Barrel in quite some time, but we hopped into this location on a Sunday for lunch. This store was extremely well managed. My wife was shopping for items in the store and told me no less that 4 times, she was approached by a sales associate asking if she needed help. The Resturant was clean with "Country Charm" a plenty. Our server was polite and helpful and extraordinarily efficient. The food was served hot with biscuits and cornbread. I was very impressed as I finished with a Latte to go. I get curbside because of health issues in family. Why oh why prompt me to tip when you can't be bothered to check the order? I shouldn't have to make missing pepper gravy at home, but I did while the meal gets colder and colder.... If I can use another location, I do. Stopped at Cracker Barrel with my family during a road trip. It was semi-busy, but that's not an excuse for this level of incompetence. I ordered pancakes with eggs and turkey sausage. Pancakes came out, my sides never did. Everyone else at my table got their full meals. I was repeatedly told my food was "on the way." A manager even said it was finished and coming out. It never showed up. I watched trays of food (eggs included) go to other tables while I waited 40 minutes. When I finally asked if I could just get a side of eggs, I got nothing but a shrug. No explanation. No apology. Terrible service, zero accountability, and an experience that did nothing to help the racist reputation this place already has. Won't be back. read more

I have never been to a slower serviced Cracker Barrel. We were shocked to hear that there was no fried chicken? But the table next to us got fried chicken ? We waited a long time for our food and thought it might be just because it was 11:30 and maybe ya all were just switching to lunch staffing . But what was really unacceptable was the women at the cash register. She carried on a personal conversation with another very chatty employee. The other employee even came up to the cashier and whispered in her ear. Seriously acting like two school girls. They a decades away from being so. If you go here and it's cold weather, wear a snow suit. It's freezing in there. I went outside to get my husband's jacket to wear. Another lady promptly did the same. They do have that giant fireplace, but it doesn't heat the whole place, or any of it really. I tried to order a latte or even a hot chocolate to warm up, but that was a no-go. The waitress said the machine that makes those doesn't work. The eggs has no flavor. None. They needed lots of salt, pepper, and Jesus. Some Lawry's or Tony's would've been good but... the biscuits were okay. That bacon though, it saved the meal. Only good thing to come from it. Thankfully the meals were very inexpensive, probably because they don't have a heat bill because they don't run the heater or buy spices for the food. when you pay $45.00 for breakfast and get what you didn't ask for, I would say it's time eat somewhere else for breakfast. I ordered turkey sausage and got 6 pieces of chicken sausage and tried to inform the waiter who said a lot of meat comes with that meal. I couldn't eat all that meat nor did i want it. I had the roast beef dinner it was delicious. My husband had the shepherds pie. We agreed that our meals were almost just alike.his had the hash brown casserole on top & it was so thick. Why would you put 2 types of potatoes in 1 dish ? That was the first time either of us had shepherds pie. We both didn't really care for it bc of the thick hashbrowns on top. We ordered the onion petals for our appetizer. The stuff to dip it in was hot ! My husband couldn't eat it. Our server was Cecilia. We wanted her to bring some ranch dressing for the petals. She was talking to a women sitting at the table behind our table. CC look over at me for a split second and I motioned for her to come over so I could ask her to bring some ranch dressing .she totally ignored me & would not look my way again . I know it was about 6 or 7 minutes later she came over and ask me what I wanted. I told her never mind . the petals were cold by then. She said to me " I was trying to have a conversation with that woman " !!! YES she did!!!!! I'm not saying she shouldn't talk with her customers but she could have excused herself and went back to her VERY IMPORTANT conversation after she got the ranch dressing. I'm still upset over that. So we ate our delicious dinner but needed 2 boxes . She came back with the boxes and 3 of the $5.00 meals to go . We wanted 2 of the French toast . We are now putting our food in the boxes & here she comes carrying the 2 breakfasts boxes & a bag . Our table was a 2 seater & there was no room to put the boxes on the table so she hands the bag to me & the breakfast boxes . Why didn't CC put the breakfast boxes in the bag in the kitchen? We had literally no room . I do understand she's young & got a lot to learn but ignoring me in the beginning was unacceptable then that ! M ( trying to have a conversation ) Ohmygosh!!! After having a horrible experience at the Cracker Barrel in Pearl MS. the prior evening we were reluctant to stop in. Hunger decided for us and we are glad it did. This store is clean and bright and the staff appeared happy to be there. From the first interaction at the host station until we paid our way out, everyone was warm, kind, knowledgeable and efficient. This is a well managed, well trained crew/place. Our waitress was awesome. The food was served quickly and correctly. We both had the hash brown casserole, mine was steak and egg, my wife had the bacon and egg. YUM!! And so much food that we took half of each to go. Our faith in the "Cracker Barrel" experience has been restored. Got here tonight about 6:25 and was seated right away and then completely ignored. I sat for 20 minutes with no one acknowledging me at all. (I timed it on my phone.) They seemed to have plenty of servers and there were at least 10 empty tables in my section. Left without even placing a drink order. Guess I'll spend my money somewhere else. read more

Service was awful. The biscuits came AFTER our pancakes, and were luke warm and we had to ask for them. My friend was given silverwear that only had a spoon in it. She asked for a set so she could eat, and it never came. Scrambled eggs must have been made from powder. All I can say is the bacon and coffee was good. Won't be going back. read more

My dining experience here starts with water & a cup of coffee. 10- 15 mins later, still no coffee. Waitress, upon responding on why it took so long implies she did us a favor by waiting for new coffee to brew. When asked why all around us being served refills in their coffee cups the whole time we waited, she said they were being served OLD coffee. During our intermittent road trip we arrived late to Cracker Barrel for dinner an one hour prior to closing. The hostess was nice & welcoming ready to seat me & my family. Once seated our waiter was prompt & ready to take our orders. Despite our late arrival close to closing time our waiter was specific, courteous & provided awesome customer service. He even told us to take our time while taking our order. He brought an extra round of biscuits right out the oven upon request. The food was pretty good as well. Came in to have dinner with my mom. The waitress was very polite and attentive. The food was not good. My mother requested that the chicken livers not be fried extremely hard. When she got them they were hard. We requested that the livers were redone. The cook replied, I can't fry them anymore because if I don't fry them hard they will be raw. I considered that reply rude and insensitive to customers. I sent it back and requested a different meat. The comment from the cook was rude. The sweet potato had a ton of sugar added which made it non edible, the biscuits looked like raw dough. Not browned at all. The chicken and dumplings I ordered were like chewing raw dough. I am so glad we have this restaurant in the North Mobile County area. The servers are very friendly and try their best to make your visit one to remember. The nightly dinner/ lunch specials are delicious. Sunday's Fried Chicken with cabbage and broccoli is my favorite nightly special. You can also never go wrong with the pancakes or Old Country Boys Breakfast. I love Craker Barrel! It is fun shopping in the Ols Country Store. They have beautiful gifts that are displayed perfectly. It is fun to shop while waiting. This is a great marketing g tool by the franchise. The recent specials for $5.99 lunches and $8.99 dinners are great. We always go here when doing a road trip and are never disappointed.
