We arrived and everything went smoothly, we had Alyssa as our waitress. She got everything right the first time! We ordered biscuits and she brought us a cute basket with 4 biscuits, butter, jelly and honey!!!! I love her for this. I ordered curbside service thinking it would be nice to have something good and not have to cook tonight. As far as service - the girl was more or less on time. Did not go into the restaurant, but the food was terrible. I ordered the chicken pot pie thinking it would be really good, but it was NOT. It was cold and did not taste very good. I also got a couple of corn biscuits with it and they were almost as hard as a rock. I put whipped butter on them because I was hungry, but it was not worth it. We made a last minute reservation today (only 5 hrs notice!) for our Squirt age hockey team (10 yr olds) and our family's (42 people total!) to come in for a team dinner after a tournament on a busy Saturday night at 6pm and they were SO accommodating! Was assured by Kent the manager over the phone that they would do all they could to get us all seated in the same section at once (with our 13 players at 1 table and the rest of us at tables around them). Brett the manager was working when we arrived and he was very helpful in getting us set up. From Jeramy & Joey at the host station, to our wait staff: Paul, Reaves, Keegan, and Kaylan, and the kitchen staff who had us all fed in a timely matter with a full restaurant we had an amazing experience at this Cracker Barrel! Because of our larger party size we were provided a couple tables combined together and to ensure proper and efficient service we had 2 servers and both of them were amazing! To the first timers who have never been to Cracker Barrel; the best part is the all day breakfast, because it's phenomenal and the country store is just the whipped cream; sprinkles, and cherry on top. It has such an eclectic selection of items that are truly unique and extremely charming. It's such a mix of quirky country goods all the way to nostalgic finds. The food itself is delicious and despite being a chain and having several locations everywhere it's always consistent and hits the spot. We usually grab breakfast because the grits are a staple, the biscuits are fluffy, the gravy is heart warming, the fried apples are delectable, but the real star is the hash brown casserole! God I love these places, I know I can always get a chicken fried steak which is getting pretty hard to find these days for some reason. The corn side was only so so, but to be fair it is the day after having had freshly steamed sweet corn straight from the farmers market so I won't hold that against them. Seating and service were immediate despite a well packed parking lot and I didn't have to wait for refills on anything. We had a very good meal and also very good service, the staff was courtious and atentative. I like the new way they have their burgers if you want a single patty for a few less calories or you can get two patties for a highly filled up dining experience. My wife is vegetarian and loves the country vegetable plate with mac and cheese, mashed potatoes and corn. I was very happy with my past couple experiences there andthey are trying to hire more help.
