I have never had negative experience at Red Lobster in Traverse City. Food has always been phenomenal, service is second to none. The atmosphere for dining is calm and relaxing. The moment you walk in and are greeted and seated you'll be well taken care of. The choose your shrimp one to four choices is always a great choice. 1. Yelp-Best Western/Angela & Dinner w/Georgia---Red Lobster-TIIA This visit was while we were on vacation. My wife and I have always enjoyed Red Lobster wherever they were located. This visit kept the tradition alive. First we were warmly greeted by 2 hostesses and promptly shown to a table of our choosing. Next, our server Tiia greeted us with a smile. The service she provided was perfect! She checked in on all her tables on a regular basis and responded quickly to any requests. I had Walt's Shrimp and my wife ordered the Roasted Garlic Butter Skewer dinner. We also had an order of the Signature Seafood Mushrooms. One thing that is high on my list is when a server asks you to cut into your steak when delivered to make sure it is cooked the way you want it. Everything we ordered was delicious. My husband & I visited the Traverse City restaurant 6/15/23 and were greeted pleasantly & seated promptly. We met our server, who got our orders easily and then he brought us both Caesar salad. We both love Red Lobster Caesars, I mean we reallly were looking forward to our salads. They were brought to the table and it looked like what we wanted, but one bite in, I knew that Red Lobster Caesar was an imposter. The salad dressing was blah, and the greens were even worse. The cheese didn't taste like anything! I couldn't even get my husband to finish mine, and he loves salad more than i do! I ordered coconut shrimp and it was seriously overcooked. For a side, I'd gotten Brussels sprouts- so yummy & good for you! But mine were overcooked & dry with a sweet sauce that I think was supposed to be a balsamic reduction. I told our server (who I felt bad for because it seemed like maybe he hadn't worked there for long) that I was really disappointed in our meal. Traverse City Red Lobster can do better than this. I took my mama out for the Monday Endless Shrimp, and I will never go there again. The food was way too salty, overcooked, and our waitress wouldn't even give us butter for our biscuits, and never came and checked how we were. I had to always flag her down, and I couldn't believe how short and dismissive of any questions we had. The ambiance wasn't bad. I'm so turned off with the service and the food, and it DEFINITELY wasn't worth 80 bucks! I have never written a bad review before, and still feel like an asshole. But it's not just the food that makes the experience, which is what going out to eat is all about. The service is pretty hand in hand, in my opinion. I felt like a big inconvenience just by wanting a water refill or a simple condiment. And she never gave her name or our receipt. The last choice I chose for my shrimp wasn't what she brought, and she said "oh, sorry..." and walked away. I thought she was being the correct dish out, and we waited like 10 minutes, then she scooted by like a hot potato, and said "Bye!"!! I can't believe she's a waitress. Went there on Friday, 2/17/23 for our anniversary, spent close to $100 for two dinner take outs. My husband got the Maine Lobster Duo with coleslaw and rice. One lobster tail looked like it had a bite taken out, very little rice and the coleslaw tasted off. I got the Grilled Shrimp with Lobster and Salmon with the rice and Brussel Sprouts. The rice was on the bottom of the plate but they just poured the butter on the bottom of the plate so I couldn't eat the rice and the brussel sprouts were burned. My husband ended up getting sick so we will be finding another anniversary spot to go to. read more

Recently, my husband and I went to RL to celebrate our birthdays, which both happen between Christmas and New Years. This is an annual event for us, and we usually go to Red Lobster each year for this. I have had the Red Lobster App for many years and enjoy being able to use the rewards we have earned. This year, we had a great waitress named Sarah and enjoyed a great meal and one of the new holiday drinks on the menu. We used rewards for a dessert that we shared. Our only complaint about the entire experience is that the Rewards program has yet to issue the new rewards we should have earned during this meal. The scan feature would not o our waitress attempted to input the info. Two days later, no Rewards updated so I tried again, both to scan the receipt and, when that failed, to input the code by hand. A week later, there is still no evidence of rewards. I have reached out via the website twice to Red Lobster through their Contact Us link but have heard nothing. I am very disappointed as this is not the first time I have had to fight to get the rewards earned. We were planning on going again soon but not until this issue has been resolved. read more

Had a party of 3 with a 10 min wait which was completely ok with us, no big deal. Waitress (Darcie R.) seated us. Forgot a few things which we looked passed. Again no big deal. She brought us our bill, we gave our card. She comes back and said "I gave you the wrong bill, you came at the wrong time." I'm not sure how that is our fault, but she wasn't nice about it. YOU WILL EXPERIENCE A HATE CRIME HERE-BLK PPL BEWARE I went here in October, 2022 to have dinner w my family. Within minutes of sitting down, a family across from us started shouting the n-word at us, were looking up racist jokes and reciting them to us loud enough for everyone in the room, and were threatening us, telling us what they wanted to do to us. I have experienced a lot of racism in my lifetime, but this has got to be the most demoralizing, humiliating experience so far. I have reached out to red lobster, as they are at fault here, because the waiters absolutely heard them yelling obscenities across the room, and did nothing besides laugh amongst themselves. They have yet to reach me back via email like I asked, so I am to assume red lobster as an entity doesn't really care if their patrons feel safe enough, or if literal hate crimes are happening in their restaurants. we did nothing to warrant this behavior, and they should have immediately been escorted out. the foods not good enough to put up with being called every iteration of the n-word at dinner for, it just isn't. I will never go back, and if they don't respond to me and give me my money back, I will have to take this to social media and probably to court, which I don't want to do, but injustice is injustice and they let a hate crime happen on their watch and did nothing. read more

This is my husband and my go to anniversary dinner date. The people are always very nice and the food is always great! I got the Bar Harbor Lobster Bake and my husband got the Roasted Maine Lobster Bake. Mine had noodles under all the lobster, scallops and muscles but his did not so he felt there should have been more. But since there was so much of mine I gave him a bunch and he couldn't eat it all. Typically will order the famed "Ultimate Feast" and honestly the only thing that was "Ultimate" was the letdown of the meal. Went out here for my first time ever at a Red Lobster. I'm personally not a huge fan on Seafood. But my boyfriend loves so I gave it a shot. Wise choice. All around was a great time. My husband and I hadn't been to Red Lobster and after a long day, he suggested we go there for dinner. I was thrilled, as I love their crab alfredo. Well, all I can say is that Red Lobster is NOT the same as it used to be and I am so sorry now that I didn't say something to the staff about how poorly prepared my dish was, but then I thought there was no point, as this is just how the dish is now served. The good part...our waitress was fabulous. She was attentive, accurate and friendly. There was plenty of crab in my dish and the Cesar salad was good. The negative... it looked like someone poured a can of crab bisque all over my pasta. There was no way this was an alfredo sauce, which is supposed to be white. This was orange. And it literally was soupy...thin and runny and saturating the pasta. I was terribly disappointed and also upset that I spent over $20 for this meal. We ordered crab legs and I guess she thought we were hicks who wouldn't notice as we had to ask for the "shell crackers" and then, we had to ask for "seafood forks". THEN we had to ask for hand wipes. Good grief! Each time she acted surprised that ANYONE would ask for such things! The food was great AND she redeemed herself by taking my coconut shrimp off my bill. I took one bite and it was a "YUK" moment so I left the rest. You shouldn't get too fancy with seafood, IMO. Was there on 2/1/2011 for our anniversary was starting off not so good day but when we got here every one was very nice. As soon as the hostess found out we were here for a special occasion things got very bright and cheerier. all the staff was willing to please and make us feel like family. especially our waitress Maggie, she was great, brought our drinks right away, made us feel right at home and bantered with us and joked around, and when it came to the meal left us alone and didn't rush us. Dinner was great heaping portions for the price which was at the time a great special . The whole night turned out great thanks to Red Lobster. I took a friend here for her birthday recently and I must say they've certainly made some improvements . . . in the decor and the food. The place is brighter and cleaner looking inside . . . not sure if they've painted, but they've removed some of the clutter, the lights are a little brighter and it's downright cheery inside. I had perfectly cooked lobster . . . not rubbery or overdone. The biscuits were as good as I remember them. My Caesar Salad was crisp, flavorful and not an overwhelmingly huge portion like so many other places and just the right amount of dressing. Our waitress was attentive and responsive without being intrusive. My friend's dinner looked appetizing and wasn't drowning in butter the way I remember so many Red Lobster entrees. I have never been to a Red Lobster before and my fiancé took me over the weekend. We went Saturday around dinner time and we had the best time. I was very nervous since I am not very experienced with a lot of seafood and I had no idea what to order. Our server, Ryan, was very patient and helpful. I ended up ordering the 4 course meal consisting of soup, salad, coconut shrimp with spicy pineapple shrimp, and cheesecake, and they were all so good, I ate everything!
