I went to check out and was advised this candy was on sale buy one get one half off. So I proceeded to get two bags. The cashier said it wasn't ringing up right I asked for manager to please fix it. Devin was the manager on duty. He acted like it was a huge inconvenience and proceeded to tell me the sale started tomorrow. So I moved the sign and told them don't tell people they're on sale. Decided to try out Cracker Barrel after seeing multiple signs on the highway advertising the restaurant! I've always been intrigued by their menu after a new spot opened up where I used to live, just never got the chance to try them out. I love the atmosphere once you get inside. We entered through the shop and were greeted with a super cute country store filled with lots of holiday decor and various snacks and candies for sale. We decided to browse around after eating so we made our way to the hostess in order to be seated. They took a little while to come out and bring us to our table but at least they acknowledged the wait and apologized. We didn't mind that much anyways. The restaurant is a good size. I imagine they're busy on weekends but we happened to stop in on a Friday afternoon at an off peak time so there weren't many customers present. Our waitress was very attentive once we were seated. She always made sure to come and check in on us. If we needed anything during our visit she was quick to grab it for us. Now onto the good part: the food. We got a basket with corn muffins and biscuits to start. I believe all tables get them for free. Definitely a staple! I loved their biscuits, I topped mine with a little bit of butter and jam. It was warm, tasty and flaky. The perfect biscuit. Unfortunately the corn muffins tasted a bit bland. Definitely go for the muffins! Off the menu I ordered the bacon Mac and cheese side and their broccoli cheese casserole. Both were delicious! Very fresh. We did have a 15 minute wait for the broccoli cheese casserole but it was worth it! Definitely something I can see being a hit at holiday get togethers. I'd probably opt out of the bacon topping on the Mac and cheese because it was a bit salty, but the Mac and cheese was good. Very cheesy! My fiancé ordered one of their seafood platters and said he enjoyed it. Just a lot of food! Probably a meal that can be shared. My brother in law got their catfish, unfortunately he said he didn't really like it. He stated the flavor was lacking. Overall I enjoyed the food that I tried and the service was great! Definitely looking forward to trying out more of their menu items. Give them a try if you have upon a Cracker Barrel in your area! Ok this was the worst breakfast I've had in many years. The first thing I noticed is it was empty. We ordered our food and waited.......... When the food arrived the server forgot my hubby's grits and my biscuits. The hash brown casserole was absolutely disgusting. There were big clumps of cheap cheese that tasted absolutely gross. We had to ask for condiments. We had to ask for the check twice. Left there 4 hours ago and I still have I indigestion so bad I want to throw up. I was hoping not to write a scathing review, but circumstances dictated otherwise. First thing to know is that Cracker Barrel has a new menu. In the best of times that would be exciting. Unfortunately this restaurant experience was far from the best of anything. It doesn't matter how new the menu is, the service is terrible. There seems to be a lack of understanding how to take an order, how to time an order and how to deliver an order to the table. The dessert pancakes (specified as such with the order) were brought out 15 min before the food, without any butter and one bottle of syrup for two people. The sides for the steak and shrimp came out of the kitchen with corn, when the order was for green beans. The steak itself was tough, and the other side of carrots was cold. The ham steak with my husband's breakfast meal was ridiculously salty. My daughter's burger was average, but she was hungry, so average was good enough. And oh, we had to ask three times for someone to bring the standard biscuits and cornbread to our table. The manager had the audacity to ask if we still wanted them after the third request even though everyone around our table had received them. We were really hoping for a comfort meal in a cozy familiar restaurant. We got a struggle that wasn't worth the effort or the price. read more

Frankly, I like the set up of this particular Cracker Barrel more than the one that I go to. It has much wider spaces between the aisles so you can get around displays. I find that to be a problem at the one I go to locally where things are just begging to be knocked over and are not set up very well. Service was friendly and attentive and was very pleased with the food quality. Had a very lovely breakfast with my family, where everybody was satisfied with what they had and it seemed to be a lot fresher than the one we frequent back home. Once again, this CB doesn't disappoint for crappy service and cold food/coffee. Saw waitress 1 time before food, while I saw other waitresses for other tables 6-7 times in the same amount of time. Then he got defensive and said my complaining was attacking him. Once again a black manager pulling the race card because his authority was questioned. I have been to a Cracker Barrel that was busy, but this one is at the bottom of the list for me. We checked in at the store, and strolled around with our 3 children. We waited for 45 minutes. I get it, the place is busy, but we were called to the front. We stood there for a while and the hostess proceeds to say that we will have a table soon. We wait another 10 minutes, and our children are getting restless. My 2 year old pulls a plush snake out of a barrel. One of the grumpy old employees sees this from behind the counter, b lines it to my child, yanks it out of his hand, and says "um thank you" I have always been told to respect your elders, but when your elders don't respect you, it is a tough decision to make. I was planning on buying my kids some toys, but clearly they do not want anything purchased in the front of the store. I will never go back to this location. read more

Anytime it takes 25 minutes to bring out eggs and bacon you know it's not going to be warm, and it was not. At the end of our meal they served hot bread and gravy. Dinning at Cracker Barrel is always such an experience. From the time you walk in you are in awe of the environment they create. Almost feels like you are walking into another world. I love the boutique store at the entrance, they have such adorable, unique items. The dinning room itself is very well decorated as well with lots of knickknacks, posters, and pictures to look at. The food offerings are traditional country dishes. I love the breakfast here. You can't go wrong with any of the breakfast items. You also can't beat the prices here. I'm from California and I was super impressed with the amount of food you get for such a low price. The service is great overall, they do get busy and you may have to wait a while for your food. I will say that most of the food I have ordered has great flavor, but it's not too seasoned. You may need to add some more seasoning to your food if you like lots of flavor. When it comes to sides make sure you get the mash potatoes with white gravy. Also don't skip out on the biscuits or corn bread. read more

This morning around 8:00am upon entering I waited for an older woman wearing her gray hair in a bun to finish speaking to her coworker, both standing by the cashier's desk. I told her we had a gift card and asked if we could also use it in the gift shop or just for food. Without looking at me and without a smile she snipped, " You can use it on everything." then darted off in a very dismissive, irritated (I don't have time for your stupid question) testy type of manner. I said, " Thank you. I appreciate that." but she had already disregarded me. Her coworker, older woman with short gray hair, whom I'm sure heard me, didn't respond but my husband who was also a few feet away asked, "what was that about?" I said, "She's so rude." He said he was wondering why she stormed off in a huff like that. What a cantankerous curmudgeon! On a better note the young hostess with long brown hair was nice and our waitress Lila was very pleasant. Our food was great, no complaints. We spent our $50 gift card and more in the gift shop and were cashed out by a lovely young person with short blonde hair unlike the other older cashier again with the short gray hair with a stoic face, no smile dealing w/ customers. This is a perfect example where the older generation needs to learn a lesson about kind, respectful, customer service from the younger generation bc being elderly doesn't entitle you to have a crabby attitude especially this early in the morning to PAYING customers. The fact that half my review focused on the rude worker is a perfect representation of how much of what was supposed to be a treat eating out was tainted by talking about her rude behavior during our meal an experience that cost us $57.79 to be treated like we were a nuisance to her. Waitress was almost friendly. The food was horrible. No silverware, no napkins. No registers open. This was truly an abysmal experience. I am a Cracker Barrel fan, but the supper small portions I don't think are just a this location problem. If this place survives the year it will be surprising. My last trip here just happened. I had the Grandma sampler and my wife French Toast and some separate items sort-of a-la-carte including the hashbrown casserole which is always delicious! All of the food was fantastic but even better was the service we received by our waiter Jeffery he was very attentive to our needs. We found him very polite, patient and kind. A young lady named Piper checked us out. We've encounter her on many visits and she always greets people with a nice smile and is very professional! On Sunday August the 8th, my wife and I drove 37 miles to the Cracker Barrel to eat Sunday chicken, something that we have been doing for over a decade. We were seated promptly. Sadly, the positive experience ends there. 5 minutes later, 2 other parties entered after us and were being waited on. I got up and walked over to the entrance to the kitchen where 3 staff members were chatting nonchalantly with each other. I politely explained that I am an insulin dependent type one diabetic and that I needed to eat quickly. I asked them for some rolls and water for my wife and I. All 3 servers then walked-without saying as much as a single word acknowledging me or what I had said-back into the kitchen. Nonetheless I assumed that at least one of them was going to wait on us. I walked back to our table and sat down. Another 5 minutes passed, during which time another party arrived and was seated and their drink order taken. At this time, I made the decision to leave and go somewhere else. As we were leaving, we were approached by a server who asked us, "yes?" Not "may i help you" or "I'm sorry you had to wait," but a simple word if I had asked her a question. I told her that we were leaving and she responded by shrugging her shoulders and saying, "OK, have a good day." On the way out, I asked to speak to a manager. I was met by a manager and I explained what had just happened, including the seriousness of my medical issue. His response was that was equally lackadasical to that of his server: " OK, I'll address it." The entire experience was so bizarre that that I found it hard to believe that I was in the same restaurant where I have enjoyed countless meals over the last 15 years. Additionally, I have eaten at Cracker Barrel restaurants in 5 other states. I understand that we are currently living in a nation where people are paid not to go to work and many have no care to experience the pride and ownership of a job. But that was not the case today, as they had ample servers, some of whom were content to engage each other in conversation rather than wait on hungry customers. It did not seem to dawn on the server or the manager that they lost money today. Whether or not they have lost me as a customer will be determined by the actions- or lack thereof- that are taken by corporate headquarters regarding the way I was treated. While I will not always be angry, I feel as though if never go back there, it will be too soon. As good as it once was and may still be, it is not as though Cracker Barrel has a monopoly on fried chicken or anything else. It is certainly not as though as though they have anything that I cannot live without. read more

I've been eating at Cracker Barrel over 35 years. The quality of the food has gone down so much. I ordered grilled chicken salad which I've eaten all the years I've gone. It had a few slices of a terrible little yucky tasting chicken on it. I noticed immediately and sent it back. The manager refused to remake it with the regular grilled chicken tenders but would sell me grilled chicken for an additional charge to the almost $12 salad. The fish fry came out with the fish so greasy my husband had to press it with a napkin. The waitress apologized. She gave excellent service. It wasn't her fault. read more

I'm being very generous for giving them 1 star. It was the worst experience ever. I used the curbside service. I waited 10 minutes in my car past when my food was supposed to be ready and no food. When I went inside the store and inquired about my food, the cashier was rude and non caring. After waiting an additional 10 minutes in the store I finally got my food. By then my food was cold and it wasn't packed the right way so the salad dressing had ran all over my chicken tenders. When I complained to the manager, she didn't apologize. She just said "I'll talk to the kitchen crew". Awful & lousy customer service for a mediocre food. Worst CB I've been to. We were told the wait would be 45 minutes, despite them sitting all the other people waiting, we waited over an hour and a half. I ordered chicken fried steak with gravy on the side. It came out with gravy so they redid it BUT didn't redo the sides so the fries still had gravy on them and both were ice cold. While our waitress was nice and accommodating, we won't be back. As we were leaving, another customer was talking to the manager about why they hadn't been sat yet.
