We got pulled pork, sausage, and brisket. It came with two sides. We got the green beans and pasta salad. It was $28.75. Your meal comes with free cheddar garlic biscuits with a side of apple butter. The pulled pork with some of the best we have ever had. The brisket was good as well, flavored nicely. We received three large pieces, however, there was quite a bit of fat on the pieces. We received two sausage links. The sausage was slightly spicy, which we like. However, of the three meats it was our least favorite. Our server was very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. She recommended the green beans. Her description of them was right on target and they were very good. Service was very fast and our bill was accurate. They are first come, first serve, and do not accept reservations. We would return again.

However, each of the items we ordered had excellent flavor. I would come back again purely for the fries and beer. Might need to scout the table options in order to identify where we would prefer to be seated for a more comfortable dining experience.

It had a kick, so it was what it said it would be. -we also split a Cheese Pizza ($17) on their regular crust. the cheese was generously applied, sauce was OK, the crust was subpar and not something we would order again (Visit #2) -Bavarian Pretzel Sticks ($12) come as an order of 4 lightly salted sticks with sides of nacho cheese and honey mustard. The sticks are among the better pretzel offerings I have had. Not the best (that would be 101 craft kitchen and Red Front), but definitely better than average. -Da Beef ($14) was a nice portion of beef. Because I was doing carryout, I got the sauce on the side. -the sandwich came with a side of their in house chips, which I really liked. they aren't seasoned if that's your thing, but I simply appreciate a fresh made potato chip and they were that Overall, if you like meat, it's probably on their menu and I'm guessing will scratch your itch. If you're not a meat-eater, it probably won't appeal. If stairs aren't your thing, it could be a dealbreaker unless there's another route I don't know of.

We both felt like we were on vacation while sitting on the patio enjoying our coffee. Coffee was French press, which is always lovely to see as it's our favorite. Hadiya was our server and she was nothing short of lovely, attentive, and the epitome of a great server. I got the veggie omelette with spinach, mushroom and leeks with potatoes that it came with. The omelette was fat and filled with the ingredients. My husband got the breakfast plate with scrambled eggs, sausage, potatoes, and it came with a baguette, but he opted to sub in a croissant instead. However, when his plate arrived, they had given a croissant and baguette, which was very nice as the baguette was out of this world delicious. I loved my omelette and he loved his plate. We were both very happy with our choices. The patio was charming, and it truly did feel like we were on a mini vacation in our own hometown. We will most definitely be back.

That's the perfect description for this gem. The wait staff are excellent and the bar does not disappoint! Happy hour runs 3-6pm and I stopped in for a drink and a bite. The rotating cocktail menu featured a "Gin on the Barb." Local gin mixed with a rhubarb liqueur and mint was a tasty yet dangerous beverage for an 83 degree day. If you have a chance to try the Oeufs Mimosa (deviled eggs) do not miss the opportunity though the charcuterie is an experience as well. For dinner I suggest trying the beef bourguignon. It will change your life. It's not necessarily simple but it done very very well.

I'm no expert on cajun food, but the red beans and rice is super yummy, as is the white chili chicken, both dairy-free. The best part was they gave my daughter cheese rice basically for free, which was so nice, and she loved it and the bread. They have some local beers, the restaurant is pleasant enough, and theres a fairly clean bathroom. Pricing is simple, customer service is welcoming without ever being overbearing, and the atmosphere is nearly always fun and festive. Joe, the founder, really does have New Orleans roots and he's always brought to the place a terrific hospitality and uncommon customer service. Even for this fairly straightforward eater, I can't help but occasionally head to Yats for the food, the fun atmosphere, the fair pricing, and the friendly faces. This location is at 86th and Ditch in a small strip center not far from Applebee's, Great Clips, and a few other businesses. There's accessible parking and appropriate curb-cuts. The door is a bit heavy, though it's workable. I arrived a few minutes before 11am (the time they open). They opened right at 11am and were welcoming and friendly. I ordered one of my go-to dishes - drunken chicken. I ordered extra bread (for $1) and a drink. They have another dish that used to be on their menu, though I for the life of me can't remember its name and I haven't seen it on the menu for a long time. As you enter here, there's a dining area right there along with a side row of tables and 1/2-booths along the side. It goes all the way to the back - which is where you get your fountain drinks (Pepsi products, Lipton iced tea). Yats does also serve beer. I took a restroom break (wide enough for a wheelchair, though lacking grab bars). By the time I was done, my food was on the table. I grabbed my iced tea and was good to go. This dish is a bit out of my comfort zone, however, once I tried it I fell in love with it. They put some sauce on the garlic bread - I'll admit I'd have preferred this not to happen. It wasn't bad, but I'll admit I just prefer it without. The design here is pretty narrow. I'm not sure I'd call it wheelchair friendly, though it works. I had to be super careful wheeling by one table to not hit the diner. I may be wrong, but it feels like the smallest location - at least here in Indy. I do love the festive art work and there's local art for sale. This was a very solid experience. It was practically a perfect 4-star dining experience with good food, good prices, good customer service, and a welcoming atmosphere. I was the first customer of the day, however, they were already getting steady when I left. My favorite spots are probably Broad Ripple (the first one) and Mass Avenue. Yats now also has a couple spots in Ohio. This was a terrific meal on a day when I really just wanted some comfort food. I got that and more and I'd easily return.
