Her salad success led to franchising. The dining room has a homey/cozy vibe, decorated with cookbooks and kitchen decors. Everything was clean, and Ben though they were busy. I had a cup of Classic Carol chicken salad and a cup of Broccoli Cheddar Soup. The salad was moist and delicious and I found myself craving more the next day. The Broccoli Cheddar Soup was thick and hearty, but the portion size was pretty small. My husband had the Kicking' Kay Lynn chicken salad sandwich which was spicy and good. He loved it. The service was super friendly. You order at the counter and then someone brings your food. The server offered to bring us an extra plate to share. Parking is limited in the strip mall lot. There is accessible parking. I'll be back. Their chicken salad is better than mine.

The primary issue was our service. While she was friendly, decent windows of time seemed to pass between her visits. She also did not provide us with utensils/napkins, as my wife requested them from the bar after our meals arrived, nor plates for our shared appetizer items. The food was very good, for the most part, as we continue to enjoy their Baked White Bean Hummus ($14) and the Greek Goddess Salad ($17) is excellent. I also do like their Fries ($3.50), as they are seasoned well with a nice exterior crunch, although it seemed like we had been given the bottom of the basket as a good bit of our order was crumbs. Drinks were OK. My wife wishes they offered a dry cider option, but their A&E Fleeting Youth ($7) consistently tends to be the closest to that offering. While I realize it's summer, I prefer porters and stouts that are on the sweeter side as opposed to coffee-esque. But the only option was their Into the Void, which I thought leaned into a coffee flavor, so I chose their King of Troy ($6.50), which was a decent lager. So I continue at 4 stars, in hopes our next visit will have service with a bit more awareness, fries from the top of the basket, and some of their other beer options that hit the spot in the past.

It had a kick, so it was what it said it would be. -we also split a Cheese Pizza ($17) on their regular crust. the cheese was generously applied, sauce was OK, the crust was subpar and not something we would order again (Visit #2) -Bavarian Pretzel Sticks ($12) come as an order of 4 lightly salted sticks with sides of nacho cheese and honey mustard. The sticks are among the better pretzel offerings I have had. Not the best (that would be 101 craft kitchen and Red Front), but definitely better than average. -Da Beef ($14) was a nice portion of beef. Because I was doing carryout, I got the sauce on the side. -the sandwich came with a side of their in house chips, which I really liked. they aren't seasoned if that's your thing, but I simply appreciate a fresh made potato chip and they were that Overall, if you like meat, it's probably on their menu and I'm guessing will scratch your itch. If you're not a meat-eater, it probably won't appeal. If stairs aren't your thing, it could be a dealbreaker unless there's another route I don't know of.

I paused to look at their outdoor menu they had set up and checked out their desserts. Lo and behold they had chocolate mousse, my husband's fave! Since it also happened to be his birthday, we made a plan to come back after our dinner reservation at another restaurant. We stuck to that plan at around 8 PM, before they're closing at 9 PM. We walked in to a charming, lovely and cozy atmosphere. It had just rained so the ambience was perfect. We sat down right away and was greeted by Justin, who was outstanding as our server. My husband ordered the chocolate mousse, and I took a chance on the Pavlova, which I had seen many times before on the great British bake off. I had always wanted to try it. We also ordered decaf French press, coffee, and it was also delicious. The desserts both came with Chantilly cream made in house and it was impeccable. We. We both loved our desserts. The Pavlova was a light meringue with lemon curd inside garnished with fresh berries. I was worried that it would be sweet too sweet, but it was not. The chocolate mousse was thick and chocolatey and the ratio of Chantilly cream was perfect. Now that we've come here for breakfast and dessert, we must come back for dinner. Again, Justin, our server was just lovely and personable and made the evening even more memorable.

That's the perfect description for this gem. The wait staff are excellent and the bar does not disappoint! Happy hour runs 3-6pm and I stopped in for a drink and a bite. The rotating cocktail menu featured a "Gin on the Barb." Local gin mixed with a rhubarb liqueur and mint was a tasty yet dangerous beverage for an 83 degree day. If you have a chance to try the Oeufs Mimosa (deviled eggs) do not miss the opportunity though the charcuterie is an experience as well. For dinner I suggest trying the beef bourguignon. It will change your life. It's not necessarily simple but it done very very well.

From the moment we checked in with the host stand we were impressed! We were quickly seated and greeted. Jonaz was our server and he was incredible- he made so many recommendations for us, pointed out what's popular, what he loves and explained more about the flavors working together on the menu than would meet the eye! We also got to see Pascal, one of the managers while we were there! If you frequented Patachou in Clay Terrace...you know Pascal! We enjoyed an incredible cheese board to start our meal! Fantastic drinks- as someone who is currently pregnant I LOVED that they had mocktails that were not super sweet, that seems to be tough for a lot of places to get on the menu! We also started with the Yeast Rolls which sound so simple but were incredible. Moving on we had the Harvest Salad- I had never had pickled rhubarb and it was such a great addition. The black tea vinaigrette was amazing, fresh and light- the team in the back of the house knows what they are doing and is putting the work in on creating a perfectly curated menu with flavors that WORK! For entrees I had the Foraged Mushroom Bucatini with salmon added and my husband had the New York Strip. It's been a minute since we've been somewhere that's served a perfectly cooked steak on the first shot and this was edge to edge perfectly medium rare for him. We shared a side of the Spring Green vegetables- I'll dream about them, they were amazing. Jonaz helped my husband pick out a glass of wine to compliment his entree and knocked it out of the park. Now I'm telling you- you're going to want to eat all your food but you have to save room for dessert! How can you come and not try any ice cream?! We had the strawberry ice cream to split and it was a great end to our meal. I will say as we were leaving we saw a server walk by with a Toffee Crumble Sundae (I think that's the name) and let's just say that next time...we'll be trying that! We will 100% be back! After a few bites, I knew I wasn't leaving with just one meal. Before I walked out, I ordered another half-and-half to go--Smoked Sausage Gumbo and Chorizo Étouffée--for tomorrow's lunch. That's about the highest compliment I can give a place. This is exactly the kind of restaurant I love stumbling across. Casual, unpretentious, and full of personality. The walls are covered with photos of regulars, local memories, and just enough Cajun character to make the place feel lived in rather than decorated. The service was equally memorable. The GM seemed to know half the people walking through the door by first name. Between offering samples, making thoughtful beer recommendations, and genuinely enjoying conversations with customers, it felt less like ordering dinner and more like being welcomed into someone's neighborhood spot. It's refreshing to find a place that's so confident in what it serves. No gimmicks. No unnecessary twists. Just bold, comforting Cajun food done exceptionally well. I was honestly tempted to steal a sticker or some piece of memorabilia on my way out--just to remember the stop--but I'll settle for planning my next visit the next time work brings me back to Indianapolis.
