    Eggs bacon and hash browns.

Located across the street from the Residence Inn (airport). This is a small restaurant, but excellent communication from your server. Affordable pricing, and delicious breakfast items. I recommend their 2 egg, bacon, hash browns, with toast for $10.59! I recommend adding coffee and upgrading your hash browns with ham and cheese!

Myranda moved like there were no customers and she was bored. I waited probably 20 minutes to put in my order, which was only that fast because I started stopping people as they went by me to ask to order. She took my order like it was an annoyance. Then, when the food was ready she tried to give me a different table's order. After my meal I saw a new customer sitting and looking around for a long time, also waiting for someone to acknowledge him; meanwhile Myranda ambled back-and-forth past him looking bored but not acknowledging him. The other staff members were hustling as if it were the packed 10am Sunday morning that it was -- especially Lydia who was expediting and moving full speed like all the cooks and everyone else. This was my second visit, the first time was awesome with a server named Jamie. Seems the trick is to come when she's working. The food was solid. The ambience was what you'd expect of a waffle house, kind of lower cost acceptable.

    Flys everywhere

Flys everywhere, ghetto employees trying to fight each other, empty building (most likely because of the service), it took forever for me to get my food, the mop water smelt horrible when my sister spilled a drink, almost all the seats were dirty so it was hard for me and my family to find somewhere to sit, whole place is just overall bad.

If you're staying at one of the adjacent hotels and don't have a car, Waffle House is your main choice for breakfast. I'd never been to one, but a former co-worker from the south has use to rave about the place. So today was my first Waffle House experience. I was expecting something like a Dennys. In reality, it's closer to Mel's Diner (the old TV show, I've just dated myself!). The place is tiny. Menu is limited to the basics - eggs, hash browns (or grits), toast, and of course a waffle. Served quickly with a little grease on the plate. By today's standards it's inexpensive. Under $20 for my husband and I. I got 2-eggs/hash/toast; he got the All American (?) which basically included choices from everything in the menu. One OJ. For just under $20 before tip. The staff was very friendly & seemed to be having a great time singing along to whatever songs were playing. Not bad when you just need a quick & easy meal!

If you're looking for a solid diner spot with awesome waffles, the best shredded hash browns, eggs, etc., this is where you wanna be. Like many restaurants, labor shortages might mean the tables aren't immediately bussed or the wait is a bit longer. If that bugs you, come at an off peak time to likely improve your experience. I've been coming to this location since I was a little kid. The service is always good, usually with a smile, and people here appreciate kind patrons. My usual order is a small orange juice, chocolate chip waffle, and bacon extra crisp. I also enjoy my hash browns scattered, covered, and smothered. YUM! Give it a shot next time you're in the area.

The hashbrowns -- what its all about.

Same great staff, same cool space, same open kitchen where a party of one like me can grab a counter seat and watch the chefs do their thing. I've honestly always enjoyed that part of the experience. Today I had the avocado toast with feta and an egg on top, and it totally hit the spot. Earlier this week I tried one of the newer menu items -- fried chicken with mashed potatoes and gravy, plus a sample of jalapeño cornbread and Asian slaw. Incredible comfort food. And as someone who normally isn't much of a slaw person, I was surprised by how much I loved it. They also tried to tempt me with the roast beef special, which honestly looked great, but at 10:30 in the morning I just couldn't fully commit to roast beef yet. Maybe next time. The new name is a nice tribute to the owner's mother, Arleen, but thankfully it still feels like the Milktooth so many of us have come to enjoy over the years. Definitely worth checking out if you haven't been in awhile.

Not overly sweet. Just perfect.

I had the southwestern salad with buffalo chicken. It had corn and tortilla strips (which I left off), black beans, cheddar cheese, tomatoes and bleu cheese dressing. It was super fresh and very flavorful. The chicken actually had a good buffalo flavor which many claim to have but don't. We also tried the Nutella crepes with bananas, strawberries, whipped cream and Nutella. In addition to being very large, it had a great taste and was very fresh. Another hit for sure. The avocado toast with salmon was really good. The flavors were spot on and as with the other food, very fresh and well prepared. The brisket burger patty melt was also done perfectly. The brisket patty was a perfect medium and the onions were grilled just right. We opted for mayonnaise instead of the Thousand Island dressing it comes with. The other dressing may have been good but the mayo really paired well. Finally, the club sandwich was again prepared perfectly. Fresh meat, perfectly toasted bread (some places under toast and many over toast) - it was quite tasty. The French fries were fried so that they were crispy (but not overdone) on the outside but soft inside. We were too full for dessert, but I'll be sure to leave room when I come back next time!

**Bluebeard... wtf**…read more Bluebeard has been on my Indianapolis restaurant list since I moved here from Chicago in 2021. I've found some really great restaurants here over the years, so I was especially excited to finally make it to Bluebeard. Each year during Devour, my husband and I pick a restaurant for each other as a surprise, and this year I chose Bluebeard. We had a 6:15 reservation and arrived about 10 minutes late due to traffic. I apologized, and we were promptly seated. Unfortunately, that's where the experience started to go downhill. Our server took about 15 minutes to come over, and although our appetizer arrived quickly (chips&dip), our drinks took another 15 minutes. I held off on ordering our meal because I wanted to do the Devour menu with the wine pairing. The food & drinks was a mixed bag: - Beauregard cocktail: 10/10 - Chips & avocado ranch dip: 8/10 - Crudo: 9/10 - Smoked fish dip: 4/10 - Mushroom ravioli: 8/10 - Short Rib Ragu: 3/10 - Chocolate crème brûlée: 3/10 There were definitely some great dishes, but the slow service and inconsistent food were disappointing for a restaurant with this reputation. The biggest issue came toward the end of the meal. The hostess came to our table and told us we needed to hurry because she needed the table for another reservation. **We were still waiting for dessert.** I explained that the service had been very slow and that we were waiting on our desserts. Our server apologized and said the hostess likely didn't realize what had been happening and was under stress. I completely understand that Devour can bring in more traffic than usual, but that's also something a restaurant at this level needs to be prepared to handle. We shouldn't have been made to feel rushed when the delays were not on our end. I really wanted to love Bluebeard after having it on my list for five years, but unfortunately, it didn't live up to my expectations. For comparison, some of my favorite Indy restaurants for both food and service are Bocca, Union 50, Matador, Rosemary & Olive, Tinker Street, Strange Bird, Delicia, and Bodhi. Maybe we caught Bluebeard on an off night, but for me, this experience fell short.
