Second time coming to this particular location since it's literally on the way home from Vegas Got here after the lunch rush so there was no wait time and the staff was really nice and helpful and fun and funny Was starving so everything looked good lol but ended up getting chicken dumplings (usually I'm a chicken fried steak guy but I wanted something different) I got a cherry lime mimosa as it was new But here's the kicker The manager who received us sold me on the free new rewards program they have now He goes you get a free appetizer just for signing up I'm like wow ok He goes make sure you get it discounted when paying because they got to do it then Well after eating the delicious food as usual it never disappoints I went to pay and they didn't discount my appetizer and despite reminding them and they agree they didn't even bother to ask I'm like geez They said oh you aren't even in system It was a mess but they eventually found after resigning up but they were like don't worry I'll take it off after you leave as it takes 15-20min Well the charge went through and it didn't reflect the free appetizer which is a shame but after calling a couple of times and going back and forth with Shay we got it all resolved and refunded back! My first time here at this location. My first cracker barrel was in Virginia when I used to travel a lot. This location at Victorville is so beautiful. You first enter the store/gift store. Very cute. A lot of interesting things to look at. We got seated right away by the greeter. Very friendly. Once we got seated they gave us our menus right away and a kid's menu for my toddler. That was very kind of them. The ambiance is very unique. What we ordered. - Meatloaf, baked potato, and pancakes. The meatloaf and baked potato was Definity a country comfort food. The pancakes were the star. Slightly crispy edgers, soft center and the syrup is just the right amount of sweet. Even though I ordered this for myself...my husband and my son ate most of it. lol - Chicken dumplings, baked potatoes, and fried apples. Chicken dumplings really bring me back to when I was a kid and I ate this with my grandparents. The fried apples are so good it's mostly the best part of the apple pie. - Kids mac n cheese. Stopping by at this Cracker Barrel location in Victorville. This is my first time at this location but it still seems exactly like the other locations. When you walk inside there's a country store filled with plenty of different items to buy or grab as gifts or for even yourself. Towards the left is where you get to sit and eat some awesome tasty country American meals. I got their wild berry ice tea for today which is filled with different wild berries. Ordered a choice of two beignets and white cheddar cheese. For a meal got a home-style fried chicken with two sides hash brown casserole and also battered okra. If you want to have some country American food I think this is pretty much what it's all about. This place isn't for a healthy option, but more like a Southern deep-fried cuisine. read more

This was my bf and I's first time here and it was actually decent. The main thing I enjoyed was the service. Our server Tony was so nice and hospitable. He really made our time there enjoyable. I ordered the fried chicken which was nice and crispy. My bf got the country fried steak which was good but he had mentioned he wished the gravy was a little better. We had an average experience here at 1pm Thursday. We got seated pretty fast but the kitchen seemed to be backed up by 20 mins. The food was still enjoyable but the fries were hard, eggs were over cooked and the corn bread was hard. We also ordered a peach mimosa but it felt too sweet for the drink. It would've been nice to have some closer Cracker Barrels in SoCal but it seems like this location is a poor representation of the ones I've visited. read more

Always a hit, we stop every time we leave Vegas. This stop included my mother in law, husband and sister in love. We checked in about 10 mins from the restaurant, love this option. Pulled up and we were immediately seated, please use this option. Our server Melissa was super sweet, she made sure to offer the special of the day, the hubster jumped on the plum mimosa...I passed did enough drinking in Vegas We all ordered the classic sampler, with three meats...I had chicken and dumplings, fried chicken, green beans and meatloaf, it was enough for 2 folks, I could not finish it so yup looks like lunch for tomorrow. Once I paid the bill, I went back to look for our server only to be told that she had left for the day, damn, I missed the opportunity to thank her personally, she was. I'm not one to really write a review but I had to after the experience today. I'm not sure what's happened over the last year but the politeness of the employees is going down drastically. I did a pick up order and waited over 20 minutes in the curbside delivery before I called again (had dogs in the truck). They had attitude when the finally brought the meal to me. Today was a similar experience so I wanted to write a review. I ordered (half asleep) pick up for my husband to go get so we could have breakfast for Valentine's Day. When he went to go pick it up he called and said he was here (also had dogs in the truck) and they claimed since we "didn't pay for curb side they couldn't bring it out). He then said if I cancel the order and reorder would they do it and they hung up. So he went inside and the ladies at the pick up counter gave him attitude, claimed he didn't have an order for him and it was at the wrong store (although he had called ten minutes ago outside). They claimed they couldn't look up order numbers but he gave them the order number and pointed out our food and they magically found the food. He had a cash tip for them but clearly after the salty attitudes they did not get one. I am not sure what they mean by paying for curb side but if this is how we will be treated I'll give up one of my favorite breakfast meals. Fix your customer service or you'll close like the rest of the places up here. I am very sad because I loved coming into Cracker Barrel and seeing the shop, candy and the decorations but with how it's looking I don't think I can support a business who hires "anybody" to work for them. read more

I've been to Cracker Barrels all over the actual South (I'm from Tennessee), so I know some are a lot better than others. Cracker Barrel food has been consistent for decades - it's the service, bathrooms, location, and overall ambiance that determine their quality. This one is the worst I have ever been to. We stopped on the way back to Los Angeles from Newberry Springs. It was a Sunday, so it was expectedly packed. We put in our name for a table for 2 and browsed the gift shop whilst we waited. I selected a few items and waited to pay for them behind some other people. Apparently, the people I thought were queuing were just standing there in the way like putzes, and the cashier BARKED at ME about "standing in the wrong place". Excuse me? I don't care how busy or stressed you are in a customer service role; if you need to direct a guest to a certain spot, you muster up some grace and a fake nice tone. I snapped back at her, then decided I didn't want to give money to a business in which I was spoken to like that, so I set down the merchandise and we left. Though this has nothing to do with Cracker Barrel - or maybe it does; maybe this location just rouses the monster in people - when we got back to our car, we heard screeching and shouting across the parking lot. A mother was dragging her child out of the restaurant, both screaming at each other. When she got him next to her car, she beat him whilst he howled. Coming here was a deeply unpleasant experience. Just down the road is Desert View Memorial Park, a cemetery that we happened to drive through after turning the wrong way leaving Cracker Barrel. We stopped to take some pictures. It was a lovely detour - and nobody bit my head off for standing in the wrong place. read more

Since there are no Cracker Barrel's near me, I try to stop by whenever I see one during our road trips. Of all the Cracker Barrel's I've been to, this location always seems to disappoint. My meatloaf was super chewy with bits of bone and super dry. The pancakes were rubbery, which I was very sad about because they are my favorite food here. It was almost as if it was microwaved... The service was good until our server disappeared in the middle and had to flag down a server in a different section for help (he was super helpful and kind). Refills were coming in well until it all kind of stopped. Then the server came back to deliver our check and offered us refills to go, which was greatly appreciated since we still had a few more hours on our drive. I still love Cracker Barrel but I'm not sure if I'll be returning to this location. read more

The SOUTHERN FRIED CHICKEN was UNSATISFACTORY in my opinion, despite all the good reviews. It's too salty. The fried chicken and 3 sides were served to me in ONE MINUTE after I ordered. That's not a good sign. Then I noticed the "speedy clock" on the menu that indicates it will be served quickly because it's already made and not cooked to order. There's nothing wrong with it and the 3 sides were very good, but quality suffers. You taste so much salt in the crispy battered skin. Fast food style. Not for a discriminate diner. read more

I will only eat at this Cracker Barrel. The chicken is never ever dry like other locations. The service is fast and everyone is so kind.

On my way back, I try not to make any stops so I can arrive earlier than intended. However, in the area that has what seems to be hundreds of eateries-and on my side of the freeway nonetheless-Cracker Barrel was one of the last ones on the way. The effort is worth it! Finding the parking lot closest was easy. I placed the order in my car so I could just go in and get it to make things simple. Their pickup area was towards the back of the store near the restrooms. While waiting, I have a problem of walking around looking at the stuff they have to offer but thankfully haven't given in too much. Today, I went with a bag of Charlie's Chips; as my family used to order these by the cannister when I was a young kid. Sadly, they don't hold up as my taste has probably evolved and I prefer thicker cut chips, but the nostalgia was at 100%, and I'm glad CB carries them. Service was also fantastic; there was a guy who I think was a manager, and a nice lady (possibly Robin) who kept an eye out for my order. I usually go with one (or two) of their candy sticks, but my favorite cotton candy was clear out. As I was being rung up for the passionfruit and wintergreen flavors, she did check in a back drawer and offered me two 'defective' cotton candy sticks, defective in the sense where they are in a hundred pieces and cannot be sold, but are still edible. I appreciated the effort! Kids sliders and fries were great as usual, and I kick myself for spending twice as much elsewhere for sliders/fries but here, they are reliable where they taste good and are very reasonable. Okay, just visited again and decided to stay in to try their Carolina Gold chicken w/ fries and green beans. Steve was a great server, and I figured now would be a great time to get their peach tea to go. As for the food, I'm glad I got the gold sauce on the side which was a little on the tangy side, but good. I also did my favorite Heinz 57 which I swear is difficult to find so I take advantage while here. Since 2018 we continue to dine at Cracker Barrel and have never had a bad meal or experience. The service and food are always excellent. I see a lot of bad reviews and people commenting that the food is bland. Well, it seems that i the menu doesn't have Carne Asada, jalapeño poppers, or street tacos on it, then most o these closed minded people will give it bad ratings. The food is wonderful. Large portions so plan accordingly. We always end up with left overs - even when we've split a combo plate. It's very homey southern style food. Stick to your ribs cooking.
