We stopped here for lunch on our way to Vegas and it was a great spot for some comfort food. Being from the South, I miss a good fried okra and some green beans, turnip greens, cornbread, and hash brown casserole. Sure, it's not the healthiest thing to eat but if you're going to Vegas, you're probably not planning to meditate and eat healthy are you? The wait was busy when we arrived but we expected it on a Sunday before Thanksgiving. The servers were really friendly and there was a lot of stuff in the store we could browse through. Once we got seated, it didn't take long to get our food. If you like cheesy potatoes, I'd suggest the Hashbrown Casserole, which was quite good. The breakfast options came in large portions and the veggie plate was just what I needed to avoid food coma on the second half of the drive. ----TL;DR---- PROS: comfort food that's reliably the same, affordable, and in a fun atmosphere (browse the store up front if you have a little wait before your table's ready). Location is convenient to the freeway. CONS: if you come right at a meal time there may be a wait, so don't expect a really "quick" pit stop if you're driving. BOTTOM LINE: definitely a good spot to stop on the way to Vegas or back, come hungry! read more

I'm gonna give this Cracker Barrel a 4.5. My son has been wanting to go to a Cracker Barrel for YEARS. However, for the longest time, the closest one to us here in San Diego was in Yuma, Arizona. No bueno. I recently found out there was one in Rialto, which is still a couple hours from home, but closer. Plus we could combine it with a trip to check out the San Andreas fault in Cajon Pass north of San Bernardino. Checked Yelp and discovered that the Rialto Cracker Barrel has REALLY bad reviews. Checked the Yelp reviews for the Victorville store and they were MUCH better, so that was the ticket. We arrived yesterday at about 4PM -- it was basically empty. Super friendly host and servers -- really nice people. We started with the cheddar cheese bites and biscuits. The bites were really good -- the biscuits were OK, but kinda salty. My son ordered the wild blueberry pancakes, sausage, and the loaded hash brown casserole -- I went off the plant-based wagon just a bit and ordered sunny-side-up eggs, Impossible sausage, plain hash browns, and grits. My food was really nothing to write home about -- kinda plain. However, my son's pancakes were SPECTACULAR. Really, really good. I was very jealous after I got a bite of them. He loved his loaded hash brown casserole and sausage. So, a 5 for the staff and my son's food, and a 3 for my food -- a weighted 4.5. Overall, worth a stop if you're in the area. We came here on Thanksgiving evening. It was a favorite place of my aunt who sadly passed this summer. It was the first Thanksgiving in over 50 years that my uncle would be celebrating without her. He wasn't ready for a large family gathering. He hadn't been to the restaurant since her passing and it seemed like the right time. There were 3 of us and although they were crowded we were seated within 5 minutes. We were pleasantly surprised! Our server Steve was very friendly which always makes for a nice experience. Some of us had the Thanksgiving Day Turkey Dinner which was a complete meal including sides, biscuits and Pumpkin Pie for dessert at a very reasonable price of only $19.99 each. The meal was good and well worth it. Their biscuits and cornbread are amazing. Their Chicken Fried Steak was good although a little overcooked. Their Fried Okra was good but also slightly overdone. Mashed potatoes were perfect. The family style atmosphere was actually perfect for this special occasion. The heavy wooden tables and chairs give a comfortable country feel and the walls are covered with old timey pieces and photos of days gone by. Upon entering you're in the "store" which had a nice selection of knick knacks and gifts. A nice little place to find a cute gift or two for the holidays. We stopped by here on our way to Las Vegas from San Diego. It was my first time eating at cracker barrel! I totally get the hype now. The catfish and steak fries were really good. The corn could've been better, but it was still good enough. I really loved shopping at the store attached to the restaurant. It's a great way to spend some time while waiting for your food to come out. I found a lot of stocking stuffers here! As a Southerner in exile in L.A., I get a hankering for those things that remind me of the place I grew up -- grits, biscuits and gravy, chicken-fried steak. So when I saw a Cracker Barrel was on the way on our road trip, I knew where breakfast was gonna be. As breakfast goes, it's basically a countrified IHOP, although better. Service is invariably friendly and brisk. The hash brown casserole remains one of my favorite chain restaurant items ever. What's most important about Cracker Barrel to me is less the food: My mom always loved sitting in the rocking chairs out front, and they make me a little sad when I see them. Cracker Barrel can, for a moment, transport me back to a feeling I had eating with family members who are no longer here back in Texas and Louisiana, and that's what is most special about it to me. read more

The BEST thing about this location is the Management and Customer Service We ordered the Chicken Fried Chicken, Okra, Dumplings, Fried Chicken, Mac and Cheese and French Fries. Chicken Fried Chicken was BLAND but a nice choice it you have issues with High Blood Pressure. The Batter wasn't the same as some other locations in other states. Okra was the same ... Very Commercially BLAND. Slimy as usual. I would say the health benefits outweigh the texture and flavor. Could have been a little warmer and crisper tho. Mac and Cheese was uuummm ...Well, reminded me of College Campus Food Dumplings.... They were small triangles of Flat Sheets of a gumpy Dough smothered in a White Chicken Gravy. I visited the Victorville Cracker Barrel this weekend and it was super busy. Even with the crowd we were seated quickly. Our server, Tony, was exceptional. He was charming and it really added to our experience. He could have been forgiven if he hurried us (it really was busy!) but he gave us his full attention while he was at our table. Our first time at Cracker Barrell. We were planning to eat at the Cracker Barrell in Las Vegas, but we saw the Victorville location on our way to Las Vegas, so we planned to stop by on our way home. We expected a long wait, because the parking spaces around it were full, but there was no wait at all. No one was seated outside, but there were many tables and rocking chairs on the porch-like exterior. When we first walked through the doors, we found ourselves in a gift shop. The cash register where you pay for your meal is there, and ao is the bathroom. The host seated us, and we saw the place was packed with large family groups. Our server gave us a run-down since it was our first time, and she made some good recommendations from the menu. We tried both the corn muffins and biscuits (Corn muffins were the winner for us; we prefer light and fluffy biscuits). My husband had the bone-in fried chicken with mashed potatoes and fried apples, and I had the southern fried chicken and meatloaf plate with steak fries and fried apples. Our daughter had the kids mac and cheese. We also ordered beignets to try (These are a bit denser than the beignets you'd find in New Orleans or Disneyland). Has always wanted to visit, left extremely disappointed. Seemed like server was given too large of an area to cover, took Seville to get our drinks refilled. Server never checked on us. I came to order to-go. I ordered their thin sliced roast beef and discovered they no longer have it. Everyone started saying they never offered roast beef. Apparently, they did not believe me when I said I used to always order it, because they just kept repeating they never had it. They were trying to make a liar out of me, I guess. I found this denial of never having it very strange. Anyhow, they only have pot roast now. I never tried their pot roast, so I ordered to try it. It was so extremely salty I could not eat it. Anyhow, after I ordered, I wanted to pay. Two of the ladies did not know how to ring me up and made me wait to pay. I don't know why I was waiting to pay, so I asked a 3rd lady who showed up and she knew how to ring me up. I don't think I should have to fight to pay. I don't understand what the issue was. They knew my total. I wish the food would have been better. I still have the taste of salt in my mouth and I feel dehydrated. read more

While on our way home from a trip we found a Cracker Barrel and figured let's get some road trip food. The place opens into a shop full of merchandise which is pretty cool. Makes for a great environment when walking in. We sat down and ordered some rolls and cornbread, along with some fish and catfish special. For some reason we couldn't order the chicken which we heard so much about because they ran out? It was bizarre... When we got the rolls, the cornbread was rather bitter and unpleasant and the normal bread rolls were raw! We asked them to kindly bring us different rolls and the next batch was raw as well; just pure dough that sticks to your mouth. The waitress brought one more batch and they were about half raw. Hard to believe a place can't make rolls.. The entrees came and the fish was delicious, the green beans were salty, the dumpling were messy but delicious. So overall the food is decent but they ran out of all their chicken and kept serving us raw bread rolls. Avoid this place unless you only want the fish though that may be the only food they have available, and avoid the rolls! read more

Plenty of parking and you walk in to a quaint store. I'll admit, the items on display were adorable, whether you're looking for house decor or cute outfits (I really liked the kids). You put your name down with the host, who is standing in the archway leading to the dining area. You can shop as you wait which makes the time go by. Even though it was a busy Saturday morning, our party of 4 were seated relatively quickly (10 minute wait). The staff was friendly as they showed us to our seat and sat us down. Taking our order, the waiter seemed kind but also stressed balancing multiple tables, some with large parties. We noticed that the table and some of the items displayed on it had a bit of stickiness. Never pleasant, but it is a place that serves syrup so perhaps expected or more detail necessary to wipe the tables. The comfort food was overall satisfying. I particularly enjoyed the French toast (soft and buttery flavor) even though the strawberries I had requested to be added were missing (I made sure to remove it from my check which was done with no fuss). I particularly liked the maple syrup. I have plans to get my hands on some more of that syrup. I believe they sell it in the store. Some things that needed to be addressed: the coffee tasted like it had been sitting in the pot too long. Had to request a new cup. While the chicken was nice and crisp, I do prefer roscoe's. We thought the biscuits were tasty, but the fried apples were quite disappointing. As i mentioned, the waitress seemed quite busy so we mostly had to draw her attention rather than getting periodically checked on. My best friend and I eat here quite often. They have excellent breakfast lunch and dinner. Plus a very cute little country store shop. I ate at this location yesterday in the mid-afternoon. I had their new chicken tender dippers with coleslaw and steamed carrots. The carrots were a little bit overcooked however the coleslaw was excellent and I brought the two chicken tender dippers home and had those later on for a snack. They have five or six different dipping sauces of which you get to choose three I chose the maple syrup sauce which was on the slightly spicy side, the barbecue sauce which was delicious and also ranch dressing sauce which was delicious. I've had their steak tips in the past which are also delectable. Everything imaginable in the little shop along with a different selection of sodas and candies. read more

We were driving back from Vegas and both of us were salivating over the thought of bone-in Southern fried Cracker Barrel chicken. We never stop in Victorville but drive through back home. We were hungry when we pulled in and although there was a fifteen minute wait, we were OK, moseying around the store thinking about our fried chicken. When we were seated our server apologetically informed us they had run out of bone in fried chicken! Very disappointing but I was the verge now of reaching the hangry stage so we settled for the boneless chicken breasts. They were good but not what we had come there for. Making matters worse they brought out their delicious biscuits but had no silverware! How is one supposed to butter the biscuits without silverware? The server was kind and did her best. But there were too many fails to give this establishment a grade higher than three stars. The Cracker Barrel we usually frequent is the one in Santa Maria off the 101. We have never had any negatives with that particular restaurant. One thing I can give up a thumbs up for is their pancake batter mix they sell at the store. I've been wanting to try this place but its out of our way. And whenever I see it, we are on the 15 fwy either going to Las Vegas or on our way home from Las Vegas. We finally decided to try it. We took our order to-go because still weary about eating inside during COVID. We came in through the store. It's so cute in there full of fun knick-knacks, toys, old-fashioned candy and clothing. We ordered 2 country fried steaks with 3 sides (broccoli, mashed potatoes w/sawmill gravy, hashbrown bake), 1 Cracker Barrel Sampler: sugar ham, chicken and dumplins' (Mac and cheese, fried apples and mashed potatoes w/brown gravy) and 1 roast beef with 3 sides (Mac and cheese, mashed potatoes w/brown gravy and steak fries). We also ordered the beignets with caramel sauce. I got some candy and 6 bottles of soda (1 cream soda, 1 Dad's orange cream soda, and 4 different types of black cherry soda). Everything was good but it seemed the entree and side portions were a little small. We shared all the meals family style and if it wasn't for that, then no one would've gotten full. That's the only reason I gave it 3 stars. All the food was good. We especially liked the beignets and the ham in the Cracker Barrel Sampler. I'm glad we took the time to stop and order from Cracker Barrel. Next time I come, I want to order from the breakfast menu. read more
