Update: Had to dispute the deposit I was supposed to get back with my credit card. They gave me a temporary credit while they investigated it and after not hearing from them they finally closed out my case. My advice to you all is stick with someone local, this guy's phone number is out of state and from talking him during the repair his permanent home is out of state as well. Failed Repair Service - PROCEED WITH CAUTION If you are considering using Cracker Jack Home Services, proceed with caution. Our leaking front load washer machine was misdiagnosed and after waiting 2 weeks for the back ordered part, the leak is now worse. The experience has been filled with numerous communication failures as well as a total out of pocket expense now exceeding $324.00. Not to mention the 3 tech visits, each one a complete inconvenience with a 4 hour service window. It also concerns me that the door hinge and door trim were replaced at a greater expense than the rubber gasket, which to me, should have been step one of the repair diagnosis, at a less expensive ($140) initial cost. Brandon was responsive, courteous and was available, initially. But in the end he took our money and did not complete the project. We needed someone to install a ductless mini split to our new addition. The process took several months because of the different phases of the construction. The last thing he had to do after the drywall was done was add Freon and plug the unit in and test it. I attempted several times to contact him and he suddenly stop answering my text and calls. We paid him in full prior to the test. I had to hire another person to complete the work and found out that he didn't bolt the unit to the ceiling anchors (it was held loosely with one screw) and he didn't connect the line set to the unit which meant that we had to cut the drywall for the second time. The last 2 times he came out to our house he was not in his uniform and was in plain clothes. He also didn't have his truck with him. I would have given him 5 stars after the work was completed for the value and at the time, he would work around the construction schedule. It was not until after I paid him that he did not respond. I felt cheated and had to pay another person to finish the work. I am assigning 2 stars, because of the value of the product and he was initially responsive. read more

Serviceman diagnosed my refeigerator off the top of his head.He performed no diagnostic yesy at...He said to thaw it out completely,plug it in again and it would work fine..I told him I did that already,but he said try it his way...I asked him run some electrical tests to be sure the controls we're ok...he would not...he insisted his way would work..I tried his way,thinking he is the expert,but same problem existed...I called his shop 2 times asking for a refund...each time I was told they would talk to the tech and call me back; the office never did.they did say the invoice said I needed a new thermostat,but I refused...The tech NEVER said this..this is an outright LIE!! Cracker Jack Repairs...very odd company. I definitely would not recommend these guys. I had a very basic repair that needed to be done (ice machine in my freezer). A technician came out to do the initial visit/estimate and everything was fine. I was given a price and we set the date for him to come back to do the actual work (the next week). Well, that day came and went and the guy was a no show. I called that afternoon to double check on where he was and someone from Cracker Jack gave me a long apology, cross up in communication, we're very sorry, etc., etc. I was told I would be given a discount and that they would call me the next day to reschedule the appointment. The next morning I received a text that they were working on scheduling my follow up appt and that they would call me asap. But then they never called. I tried several times to get in touch with the company (I had 2 contact numbers) but no one ever answered the calls and I had to leave several voicemails. I even tried messaging them through Yelp. It was like they were avoiding me or something like that. Again, just very odd. Especially since I was told that they had ordered the part I needed and the just needed to do the intall.
