The service fee was very reasonable. The technician, Vlod, arrived on time and quickly identified the issue -- the outlet pipe had come loose, likely during utensil loading. He reconnected it, cleaned the area, and ran a test cycle to make sure everything was working properly. Since there was no actual malfunction, he only charged the basic service fee. Terrible experience with this service. Andrew came over on 4/19 to fix my freezer and the stove. He charged me $650 for both repairs. I did my bi-monthly grocery shopping on 4/20 and filled out the freezer with meat. Unfortunately, the freezer stopped working on 4/21 and I had to throw the meat away on 4/22. Andrew came back on 4/23 and charged me another $200 to get the freezer working. However, he didn't reinstall the door correctly, and the freezer had a significant air gap. I asked him to come back twice but he ignored my texts for over 2 weeks. BTW, the stove also stopped working one week after he "repair" it. I had to call another company to fix the freezer and the stove, they told me how bad the work done by Andrew was. I asked Andrew for the reimbursement of $400 to cover the repair costs (not the wasted food or the incremental electricity) and he told me he would not reimburse me. I will pursue a full claim through small claims now. Buyer beware. read more

I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS SHOP FOR ANY SERVICES or CLIMATE PARADISE who subcontracted to them. On August 15th of 2025, I googled the net for an Appliance Repair shop. Google Climate Paradise came up and I contacted them. About a week later, a Technician arrived who may have been qualified to work on Cooktops, but who lacked experience with the GE Monogram Gas on Glass cooktops like we have. He removed the screws from the burners and then proceeded to try and pry up the cooktop from the left corner until he broke the glass. He did not go around the unit edges with a knife or razor blade to try and loosen the top a little at a time all the way around, or at least the front and sides. He just tried to force it, and failed. I also found it interesting that while he unplugged the electric cord, he did not shut off the gas valve for safety, but that is just an observation. Now back to the repair issue. The technician said he couldn't repair the unit and replaced the burner screws and left. (According to the California Bureau of Household Goods and Services, the technician was not an employee of Climate Paradise. He was apparently subcontracted by Climate Paradise to do the work). After several emails, Climate Paradise offered to replace our cooktop with a USED Stainless Steel GE cooktop. We do not want a Stainless Steel cooktop. Particularly a Used one of unknown history and condition, and that requires (May require) additional cutting to install. Counter tops also break when people try to cut them. We have seen that before. We replaced a cooktop at a previous house we owned, and that was made very clear to us by the installer they sent out. And then they only provide a 90 day warranty, the content of which I am not familiar with. -- We proposed to have the Glass Top which the Technician broke (Approximately $550 item), replaced. They claimed the replacement part was not available, but I had no problem finding one on the Internet. They refused to replace it. The unit still needs to be repaired. I understand the cause of the cooktop failure has not yet been determined, or the parts needed, although it appears the Igniter Module/system is no longer functional. All of the burners work normally from a user standpoint when lit with match. And we much prefer the current unit's appearance. Right now, we have not decided whether to file a Small Claims Case in Court. The unit works as long as one uses a lighter to ignite the burners. I filed a Complaint with the Bureau of Household Goods and Services for the state of California. Their investigator, Oscar Carmona Office Technician Compliance Bureau of Household Goods and Services Department of Consumer Affairs 4244 South Market Court, Suite D Sacramento, CA 95834-1243 Main: 916-244-6642 ran an investigation. His conclusion was the Business (2A Services) where the Technician was from, was Licensed to do business in CA. But basically, Climate Paradise is one of those businesses run out of a home and handled almost exclusively, it would appear, on the internet. According to the Investigator, the Technician was most likely sent from the Company called, 2A Service Corp located in Vista as a subcontract. Climate Paradise has an address: 7959 Westbury Ave, San Diego, CA 92126. The Climate Paradise business is not what one would assume to be based on the Internet Coverage. There is no brick and mortar store with employees. It would appear to be one of these Eastern European immigrant businesses set up by someone who came to California and set up an on-line business. People want to work and make money. This is their way of doing that, I guess. They claim their Insurance Company would not cover the repair because of the Cooktops age. I find that hard to understand, but I have no idea what their Insurance Coverage covers. So, in short, I would definitely not recommend doing any business with CLIMATE PARADISE. And 2A Service Corp would also be highly questionable. read more

The good: Technician arrived timely with an apprentice. The challenge: 1. Ukrainian National who only spoke broken English. 2. No initial transparency regarding pricing except for site visit fee of $79 that would be applied to the overall repair cost 3. The info provided to scheduler (specific malfunction needing needing repair) was not relayed correctly to the technician 4. Technician communicated what else, besides the defect needing repair, he had repaired on this type of Thermador coffee maker in the past. 5. Finally got out of the Technician that he will charge $300 for the repair, that it is a fixed Price and that it will take him an hour. 6. To confirm I then asked him if the findings would lead to a 4 hour repair with having to return another day if that would still be covered under the fixed price he started fumbling, not being clear on whether I would be charged more. 7. The Technician then decided to leave. Unfortunately, for the above reasons, I cannot recommend this company. read more

My over-the-range microwave broke about 2 years ago. YES 2 YEARS! It has a spacer that would cost more than the microwave to replace. It was too expensive and too difficult to try and replace it. I had a 19 year old built in microwave that started to pop and smoke. My first inclination was to replace it but of course the make and size wouldn't fit so I was left with either doing extensive cabinet modifications or getting it fixed. My wife chose the former and I chose the latter. We agreed to at least try. Andrew knew his stuff and ran test on many components. In all, 4 different parts were pretty much fried. I requested a vent cleaning and to find out why my dryer was not heating up. Man came to my house and said the igniter on the dryer was broken and needed to be replaced. He said h-e would have to take dryer apart to do so. At the same time he would clean the dryer. All for $230.00. I ask]ed about cleaning the vent. He said he didn't do that job. I asked why he didn't say that when I was emailing him on YELP.. I would have found another company that could manage both my issues. He said he did not say he could do vent cleaning. I showed him the message where he quoted me$130.00 for vent cleaning. He said no can do. I did not want to pay him as he could not do the job and he should have said so.
