Let's begin with the good: 1)Rosie and Summer and Brandon in the office are nice folks who try to be responsive and helpful. 2) The plumber who came out had good skills, acted with respect, and cleaned up the area nicely before leaving; his work was darn good overall. 3)Their pricing is more than fair. Other companies gave us estimates that were twice and even three times as much; and, their people were not as nice as the plumber and the people supporting him in the office. The Not So Good: 1)Morning after the plumber did work on our water heater, I get in the shower, and the water does not get nearly hot enough for me to be comfortable; nothing like a cold shower at 4 in the morning, right? Plumber had changed the setting on one of our water heaters, making it so low that the water would not get hot, necessitating that he come back later that day to reset the gauge to a setting that makes the shower water hot now. Should not have messed with the setting without telling the customer and could not be cost effective for the company that he had to come by a second time to fix his original error. 2)Stop trying to upsell. Just do the job that is asked for and stop with the various suggestions about other jobs (like a whole water filtration system at $2000.00) that should be done. I prefer the approach where the person/worker does the job requested, thanks us for hiring them, says we're here if you need anything else, and then goes on about his day. Please be grateful for our business and stop trying to reach into my wallet for more money. This is a smaller company trying to make it work, and I respect that. They do good work, act professionally, and their prices are more than fair. But, as said above and in all honesty, our experience with them did have its issues. read more

It's Christmas Eve- suddenly I had no hot water. Called many plumbers around the area but no one was able to make it until days later. Brandon was able to get one of their guys, Art to come over and fixed my water heater . They were both so kind and helpful! I would def use them again! This is Scott. I had sewer branch repair work done at my home on Little Tujunga Canyon Rd, including a 2" sewer branch repair and the addition of a shower P-trap (which I supplied; it was not purchased by the contractor). I am 72 years old and was in a difficult position because I only have one shower in my home and needed the repair completed quickly. Before I had a fair opportunity to review the quote, the contractor handed me his phone and asked me to sign to approve the work. I was not given adequate time to review the full scope or total cost before signing, and I was not provided with a physical copy of the estimate at that time. I was charged $6,664.86 for what was described as a 10-foot extension. After reviewing the work performed and the amount of time spent on the job, the cost feels extremely excessive and disproportionate to the work completed. A manager later called me, and I explained my concerns in detail. He told me he would call me back the following day, but I never received a return call. That lack of follow-up only added to my frustration. Overall, I feel the situation was handled unfairly and without proper transparency, especially given my age and the urgency of my situation. I believe this matter should be investigated, and I will be filing a complaint with the Contractors State License Board. Seniors should not feel pressured or taken advantage of during necessary home repairs. read more

This company has gone downhill tremendously. Arman was a terrific plumber that we had assist us a few plumbing issues (water heaters, etc.) over the past couple of years. Arman has unfortunately since left HVS Plumbing. We called the HVS Plumbing to replace a leaking garbage disposal while we were on vacation. Although Arman was no longer available, we agreed anyway thinking that HVS's plumbers would be of consistent quality. We purchased a brand new garbage disposal ahead of time for their plumber to install. We agreed to an initial install price, they later revised their estimate due to an pricing quote error to 150% of the originally agreed install price. We gave the company benefit of the doubt and accepted the new price anyway. Sev in their office coordinated the repair and the plumber arrived as scheduled. HVS's plumber that came out was extremely rude and stated that the newly purchased garbage disposal was missing the support ring and we would need to use their garbage disposal at a very marked up price. We agreed to get the job done anyway to keep our tenants happy. They advertised their new unit to be bigger/better/etc. (however, they replaced the existing unit with the same model that leaked). When we returned from our vacation, we found that all of the parts of the garbage disposal that we purchased online including support ring were present. After spending hours with them, we were able to get the 'retail' price for their garbage disposal. HVS Pluming did not fully own up to their mistakes. Bottom line is we received poor service and instead of getting the garbage disposal of our choice installed, we got a replacement of the same model/unit. In addition, we are stuck with an open box return to an online retailer due to HVS Plumbing. read more

I own a restaurant in Burbank and on occasion our floor drain will clog due to a broken pipe. I have used a couple other Plumming companies but was never happy with the service. I found HVS on yelp and decided to give them a shot. They were honestly so nice. They got to the store quick and snaked the drain on the floor. Pricing and service was 5 stars! One thing i can say about HVS plumbing is that they are rude people and know nothing about customer service...sure they might charge less than other places but that means nothing if they come into your home and disrespect you. they have lost us as a customer...and if they keep up the attitude theyll end up losing more customers. there are plenty of other plumbers available they are not the only ones. i would not do business with them anymore.
