But what really gives this place a 1 star rating for me was the rat running across the dining room at 7pm on a Friday night. There isn't a thing here I haven't liked. Their Cali burger is delicious. The Garlic Burger is also bomb. All their dips and spreads are so good for your sides. It's a casual great family restaurant where you can get a tasty burger and a local beer. It's the first restaurant in Placentia I give 5 stars to. Definitely a go to spot in this city! read more

Overall, I would say I was disappointed with my first visit here. I had high hopes due to the great reviews and the restaurant was pretty full at 2:00 pm. Upon entering the restaurant I was seated almost immediately which was very nice. As I was taken to the back of the restaurant I noticed the cleanliness of the restaurant needed some attention and where I was seated was dark and not well lit. I ordered the picante burger which was cold and mediocre, a grilled chicken sandwich with garlic cheese-I love garlic but I couldn't even taste the cheese at all. I also order the tots which needed some flavor and the fries which were just ok. The macaroni and cheese with bacon was gritty and did not taste fresh. Lastly, I was so excited to try the fruity pebbles shake but it had no flavor, it was like I was drinking a glass of milk. I will say our server was very attentive and friendly and the homemade pickles had good flavor. read more

Came in to try it out. 1st off I was cracking up because they have the old sign from "meat up" and took the "m" away and says "eat up". I got the jalapeño burger, fries, and a beer. Walking in first impression place is cleanish. Place wasn't busy and immediately got seated. Waited about 20 minutes before a server even walked up to get our drink order. Me and my buddies got sodas all tasted watered down. Ordered 3 orders of burgers and fries (Not a combo). Bacon on the burgers was undercooked and burger itself was a bit greasy more than what I'm used to in a burger. Taste wise burger was pretty bland no seasoning whatsoever. Been going here for some time. They always have good beers, seltzers and sometimes ciders. Food is always good. Onion rings could use a bit of work, but they're solid. To say the Chili is phenomenal is an understatement. It is absolutely delicious, you can get it on fries, tots, a burger even mac n cheese. Service is good, everyone's friendly. Asked to sub a veggie patty and was charged $6 extra without being told when I could have ordered a build your own veggie patty without the sub charge and was never told by the waitress and when I asked she was not helpful at all. We were craving a good burger, so of course I yelped it and this place came up! We went on a Sunday. The place is tucked away in the corner of a strip mall. It has tables inside, and counter bar seating as well. Several tvs, hanging throughout which is cool. Family friendly. There's also an out door patio area. We sat at the bar where they had some beers on tap, and I really didn't pay attention to the other cocktail options because we weren't drinking that day. What! The menu has appetizer options, and popular burger options, and build your own, with different protein and topping options, plus Chile and wings. At the recommendation of the server, the hubby ordered the Mac& cheese burger with bacon, and tator tots. He liked the burger, very filling, and he said the Mac n cheese was " just regular Mac n cheese" . I ordered the regular cheese burger, which came with lettuce, pickle, onion, a thousand type dressing and of course cheese... I asked for cheddar. I thought it was yummy! Brioche bun was soft and fresh... so good! The tator tots were good, normal... crispy how we like them. We also ordered a peanut butter chocolate shake and a strawberry shake. Worst experience ever - not everyone in my party wanted a burger so my kids brought over Chipotle and we were kicked out. Seems this place would rather have zero business than serve 4 adults dinner. Ordered to-go. Cashier was friendly. Said it would be about 15-20 minutes. 30 minutes later, no food, but we noticed a to-go bag sitting in the warmer. Who knows how long it had been there. So we inquired about the status of our food and the cashier was a little confused but after she realized who we were, she gathered that the bag was ours. The food was unfortunately lukewarm by the time we got home. We only live 5 minutes away. Asian chicken salad was fine. Carne asada fries were good, but would have been excellent if they were hot. Cali Burger was delicious. Mac and cheese tasted like Kraft. We'll give them one more try to redeem themselves for service. read more

This location has yet to disappoint, the newest tenant lives up to their name with a great selection of burgers, loaded fries and tots and great service. The menu cheese burger was a toasted bun away from perfection and cooked to order. A build your own of cheese mushrooms and garlic aioli was very good. We took home most of the house loaded tots and reheated (350 for 30 minutes) for great lunch. BUT the absolute star of this first visit was the chili, full of beef (ground and smoked brisket) and dressed with cheese, sour cream, corn chips and green onions. read more

Service was friendly and good. However their burgers were not to our liking. We ordered the plain cheese burger, and the impossible one in three different variations with different buns. They were all too greasy, heavy and salty for us. Their French fries are a good size portion and good but if you don't finish them right away they get soggy.
