The burrito was smaller than expected, but it was by no means light. Not the best breakfast burrito I've ever had but it's still delicious. Biscuits and gravy we did a little different for picky toddlers, we put everything on the side. It's hard to judge that way, but all the individual flavors were good and it was a hefty size. The cashier was super sweet and eager to let us vegetarians know that there would be no chance of cross contamination with what we've placed. On top of both of those items being super popular. The ambiance is casual and family friendly. . I had the chorizo egg sandwich which was amazing. The chorizo wasn't too spicy or salty but compliment the egg so well. . The steak egg burrito with potatoes was great too. Loved the fresh green and red salsa housemade. The burrito was fresh and the eggs were even more fluffy then the egg sandwich. . I was on my way to this shopping center and hadn't eaten yet, so I decided to stop by EggBred for the first time and give it a try for an early bite. It is not a large restaurant, but they make good use of the space inside. There are seven tables and a small bar area in front of the kitchen with five stools. The restaurant is very clean with a yellow color theme and some fun décor and neon signs. I ordered the ribeye steak & egg sandwich ($15.79). After you order, they give you a puck which will buzz when your order is ready. The young cashier was very friendly both upon ordering and returning to the counter to pick up my food. The sandwich looked delicious with its shiny bun and almost all ingredients plainly visible. The egg was cooked a perfect over-medium so it wasn't a big mess. The ribeye tasted good and the amount of meat was ok, although a few bites were a little chewy. I could have used a little less arugula, but overall the sandwich tasted very good. I realize that ribeye is more expensive than other cuts of meat, but at $17 after tax for a sandwich that was a little on the smaller side, I probably would not order this again. Good overall flavors but just wish the cheese had been melted a little bit into the sandwich. Beer Battered Potatoes ($3.99): crispy semi spiral cut potato with house seasoning (plain available upon request). Not sure how plain would taste but these were very tasty with the house seasoning - no condiments needed! My husband and I love the Country Chicken sandwich, but at $14 per sandwich, it's really disappointing that the last three times I placed a pickup order, they forgot the gravy every single time. Each time, I had to go back and ask for it, which honestly shouldn't be necessary. I looked at their website and found this Brea location conducive to our Saturday errands run. It was very easy to find a parking space in the private lot that was part of a shopping center. We walked into Eggbred Brea excited to try ou their food. I was immediately disappointed when I saw the line to order food, but all the tables were already occupied. It's a small dining area, so I am surmising most folks are placing to-go orders. A very nice young man sitting at one of the 4-tops graciously offered his table to my family, explaining he was getting his order to go, and moved to sit at one of the few barstools at the counter. Finally, we were able to place our order. It was kinda noisy in this small restaurant, and at first being somewhat under-caffeinated, thought I heard the order taker repeat my order then state it was going to be ninety something dollars. It was only after adding a tip, did I realize our order was $110.89 for the the following: 1-Ribeye Steak & Egg Sandwich $15.79 2-Loaded Burritos - The Ribeye California $17.99/each 1-Breakfast Burrito - Ribeye Asada $16.99 4 Bottled Cokes (12 oz.) - $5.99/each I was silently hoping the food better be damn good for $93. Our order was soon called, and immediately my entire family was commenting on how small the burritos were when our son brought back to the tabl.
