It's probably not fair of me, a person who doesn't really drink beer, to review a beer place. But I was here for an event and was able to enjoy the ambience and hang out with others who were enjoying their drinks. The menu covers all sorts of drinks and they have catchy names. The space is kind of divey but has a lot of character. There are arcade games along a couple walls and several board games on a shelf for people to play while they hang out. Nice size parking lot. Got there early so thankfully had no issues w parking or finding a table. Beer choices are pretty good! They have a bit of everything! 7p rolled in though (on a weekday) and sooo many people came in to play pin ball and some card game. The tables filled up fast and we could only find 1 pinball machine open but it was so so crowded in there! No real food which sucks but I get it. Utah licensing laws and such. I stopped in for a pint and luckily for me the night was pretty slow. I was able to order a sampler flight and a few beers to go. I was impressed by the number of beers offered on draft, and liked trying some of the seasonal flavors. Some of the unique flavors included salt and pickle, creamsicle, and pumpkin. I can't say I loved all the beers, but I didn't dislike any of them, and enjoyed trying them all. The building itself has a laidback feeling, and it was awesome to try all the different pinball machines. I loved this place! We stopped on a whim to grab a beer before heading to the airport for a flight. I wish we had more time to try things. Located in a part of the town called grain row(?) something like that- with a lot of other breweries around. There is a parking lot. The person working was happy to chat with us and help us choose options. Ample seating around the place, pinball machines, shuffle board and TVs. We went to Kiitos a couple weeks ago during a little weekend trip to SLC and loved it! Every person working there was so incredibly friendly and they seemed really enthusiastic about their beers on tap. I can see why they were enthusiastic as the beers were quite good. My husband and I each had a flight so we could try most of the drafts; we also ordered a couple full pours afterwards. Their Pilsner, Sahti Farmhouse Ale, and Creamsicle beers were among my favorites. As first timers visiting SLC, we also really appreciated the staff informing us of the State Laws and nicely letting us know why bringing in our own water bottle was not allowed. The brewery we had visited before them just took our bottle of water away and never told us why even though we asked, so we were appreciative of Kiitos staff letting us know why this happened. Such a fun space! Small parking space but since it's pretty industrial, plenty of parking across the streets, quick walk over. Great music, they have large TVs and pinball!! Free games to play for small to large groups. Beer in Utah in general is not my cup of tea. That doesn't take away from the overall experience and service given by the community. Service from walking in for ID check to ordering our drinks was such a fun process. We even had a pop quiz in voting presented as we closed out our bill. It's truly a fun and welcoming space. This is a cool hangout. They have a lot of options here for beers. I enjoyed every type I tried. The bartenders were cool and friendly making this a great experience. They have pool tables, a few TVs and about 10 pinball machines. The night I went there was even a little artist market going on with jewelry, drawings, candles and even a tarot reader. Great beer and great atmosphere! I came here for a Pie & Beer event (pies from Flake Pie Co.) This is a cool old building located on the west side of town, parking is easy (there's a parking lot) and plenty of seating. Not too far out of the way of you find yourself downtown. There are cans and cool merch for sale in the front, and there's a bar and vintage arcade games along the back wall with table seating behind the shop area. It's a cool laid back atmosphere with lots of beer artwork around and some plants. Food is available, but not made in house. You've got to order from an app and use a coupon code for free delivery, a delivery person shows up and hands you your order in a bag. We got the Funky chicken sandwich, a chicken breast between buns with VERY spicy Buffalo sauce and pickles, and some chips with guacamole and salsa. The food was good, the chips and guac were a bit salty for me, but they were thick and crispy and seemed handmade. I got the Creamsicle Ale - it was great, I'd have it again. I don't want to write this review and i definitely don't want to be honest. Why? Because I may have found one of the last small town bars in the city and don't want it to lose that charm, even if the proprietor may want otherwise. With a recent celiac diagnosis, I thought my evenings of beer and wings were a memory, but a friend mentioned this bar has a gluten free beer on tap that's actually worth drinking. So, the hubs and I drive downtown to give it a try and I wasn't prepared for the time capsule we fell into. Pin ball machines lining one wall, and speedy Ms PAC-man game for a quarter next to the change machine. I can hear a local pin baller telling an onlooker the Jaws machine needs a tightening up like the John Wick has had and he intently starts to go to town on the buttons . I can't help myself when I see the Star Trek Enterprise start to light up like it's been waiting just for me. We keep the tab open because this gluten free beer is worth drinking and the classic rock at just the right volume actually lets me have a real conversation with my husband as the bartender shares he's been here for a long while, he's already 26 and my husband and I both grin at each other, we've been drinking beer since he's had a bottle and yet, we don't feel any distance or agism at play. My faith is restored, if beer is proof that God loves us, and Celiac Disease shows God has a sense of humor, I'm having the last laugh here at Kittos. Salt Lake City has a better brewery scene than I anticipated as I was very impressed with the breweries I went to, Kiitos being one of them. I had two beers here and the second one I liked best. One of the beers was the Citrus Wheat. This one wasn't too bad and by the time I got to the bottom of the glass I was pretty into it. Listening to the Beertender was pretty cool because to the visitor Salt Lake City and Utah breweries may look typical like ones from other states he went on to say it's still pretty complicated comparatively running a brewery in Utah. I noticed this just a little as you always have to have your ID on you (I mean you always should anyway... but) for it to be scanned when entering a brewery and you can't look at merch when enjoying a beer and so on. But I took the beertenders conversation to be pretty fascinating and was quite intrigued listening to him. After I finished my beer I bought a can of the Cucumber Tart beer to take back home to Washington. That beer we both really enjoyed as the beer lived up to it's name nicely! read more

First of all, the beer that we had at the brewery was great. We really enjoyed everything that we sampled. The service was also amazing, the guy serving us was very good at explaining flavor profiles and making recommendations. The only reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because we bought a lot of beer to take home, and once we went to drink some we realized it had all expired months ago in May. We could tell the taste was off so we checked the date and realized it had expired. A little frustrating considering we had spent quite a bit on the beer that we took home with us. We will absolutely come back when we're in town again for the beer on tap though. Beer on tap and service is definitely 5 stars. I finally made it to Kiitos for the first time this year after living in SLC for almost six years... I liked it a lot! It's near/in the up and coming Granary District so it's in the more industrial-looking part of town. I can't remember if there was a small parking lot because I parked down the block across the street from Slackwater. I wanted to walk so it wasn't an issue! There's a wall of pinball machines and some table games, plus TVs to watch your game. I found out a little later when friends arrived that you can bring your own food in there! So it was nice having some chips to snack on while enjoying the brews. It's open and spacious inside for being a little smaller, with a room or two separate from the main space. The bartender was so friendly and gave great suggestions. He also gave me tips on which beer to finish with on my flight so I could fully enjoy and taste the others. I really liked the vanilla nut cream and also the sahti! I'm not sure how often their beers rotate but they had a nice selection. I'm a fan. read more

Really cool vibe, but the location is horrible and the beers are really bad. From downtown, Kiitos is quite a walk, and you're walking by a lot of empty industrial areas with not much but vagrants. The beers on the menu SOUND good, but when it comes down to taste, everything fails to deliver. I tried two flights of five beers each and not a single one is one that I'd order again - every beer is far too subtle in taste. Stupendous place! Came here as a Salt Lake City brewing scene neophyte, and this was a great introduction to the whole scene. First, the bartender was extremely nice. Not only helpful, but had clearly tried every beer and made recommendations on everything. The beer is exactly perfect. The tasting notes are all very upfront with clean finishes. For some reason I keep finding myself come back to Kiitos. Oh wait, the blackberry sour... A smaller brewery located in the industrial part of Salt Lake with some tasty brews. Parking is messy, it's the industrial part of town after all! The location is off the beaten path but worth going to. While they do offer higher point brews (in a can due to Utah laws) the stuff on tap is full of flavor. The staff are awesome and quite friendly. The building itself is quite small, at least the bar part and there is eating inside for a fairly large group. The bar is is around the wall and offers a few seats if you can grab the real estate during busy hours. They have games to play if you wanted to do some pinball. They have a solid lost of year round brews and have limited edition beers as well. Some great, some average (according to my own personal taste.) There is beer to go in the front where you can mix and match single cans. Grab a box top or a plastic holder and get what you want. I prefer the blackberry sour, one of the more popular ones but you can buy the coffee stout and mix it with some of the other flavors like vanilla or coconut if you are wanting something a little different. Grab some merch while you're at it. I have some Kiitos glasses in my cabinet. read more

Came here on a Tuesday night due to every bar in alcohol having some event happening. My friends and I just wanted to find a place to be able to talk and have fun. Well who knew Kiitos was that place! There's arcade games, plenty of alcohol and space for everyone to sit. Being tucked away in the industrial section of downtown, I wouldn't have thought about that place if not for a friend suggesting it. This brewery does have an interesting selection of beer. I've tried a couple and I want to say my favorite is their coffee flavor beer. It's very light but also have a nice coffee kick to it. A lot of my friends enjoy the darker beers from here or even the coconut one. I heard you can mix some flavor to come up with a new favorite, but I'm not sure. I wouldn't mind mixing the coffee with coconut. read more

Finally, a local brewery with sour beers! My boyfriend and I stopped by this place after we left nearby TF brewing. We were very happy to see that they had several sour beer/gose options! Not only did they have several options, but they were quality sours, and I mean actual sours, not fake sours. We are very particular about sour beers, so this place is a gem! Not only that, but the bartender, Chris (cool guy) told us they have metal Monday every week. I happened to wear my Finnish Folk metal band, Ensiferum, t shirt, and what a perfect occasion.
