If we want to go out to a place with excellent service, this is where we go. The restaurant is immaculate, well decorated and the staff always acts as if they are happy to see you. I'm a vegetarian and because of this the choices are limited. But I'm used to that. If I want something without meat, I just ask. My husband is a carnivore, so he always likes what he gets. I'm always in search of places I can come to order a nice cocktail. I happened to be hungry, so I ordered food here as well. On a Saturday night, I arrived late so they weren't busy at all and I was able to pick any area to be seated. I just settled for the main dining area though. I ordered the Crab Cakes, Mahi Mahi and Austrailian Seabass. Their prices were excellent for seafood and many of the menu items indicated they were "wild caught", so I figured how bad could they be. I also added a Strawberry kiss since this cocktail seemed to have the most alcohol content of their listed specialties. Strawberry kiss - while it was a nice cocktail, I was expecting it to be stronger. It was very sweet from the strawberry puree. 3/5 Crab cakes - order comes with 3 small crab cakes, lightly fried, mostly crab meat that you can actually taste. 3.5/5 Mahi Mahi - a typical small portion / filet that you get at other seafood restaurants, comes with cilantro rice and 1 side, I chose bacon mac and cheese. Mahi was decent first couple bites, as I ate more and more, I noticed it was just bland and a little dry. The pico on top helps with the moisture, but not so much the flavor. Mac and cheese was not the type I like, seemed to have quite a bit of processed cheese and once it got to room temperature, it hardened like a rock. 2/5 Seabass - thinner but longer filet, similar to the portion size of redfish at finer restaurants. We ordered it blackened, so it had a lot more flavor and the meat melts in your mouth, unlike the mahi. Sides were asparagus and mashed potatoes, which were good too. 4/5 Overall, I liked everything but the mahi and mac n cheese. I don't recommend ordering the mahi plain. Try it blackened instead which should help. Service was very attentive, almost too attentive. I would come back, but would probably try either their fresh ground burgers made from 3 different cuts of beef, or their hand-breaded cfs or cfc. read more

This place still doesn't disappoint! We stopped in for a late brunch on Sunday and I had the most amazing brisket hash. Definitely the best hash I've ever had. I ordered the potatoes extra crispy and they were cooked to perfection. Yes, the prices have gone up over the last 6 mos., but the quality of the food has not. Wonderful food...every time. My husband loves their burgers. I love their Caesar salad, avocado toast, shrimp and grits, and hush puppies.

My sister suggested Craft for a family lunch during my latest visit. As we waited for her to arrive, I perused the draft selection while we waited in a nice corner, within view of the many TVs but quiet enough for a family visit. I was happy with the local selections on the menu and went with the Crush City IPA. After my sister arrived, she took a sip, approved and had one also. On to lunch. I went shrimp and grits and the WONDERFUL server warned me "it's spicy" (to which I replied, "I hope so". A couple orders of sliders and some catfish and then the nice surprise. Craft has the largest GF menu we've ever seen and the server ate GF as well, so we learned there was a separate fryer for GF orders. BINGO, Ms Tina got her catfish. The food came fairly quickly. Warm, fresh, nicely prepared and presented. The shrimp and grits were a nice spice level and enjoyable (not top 3, but good). I tasted some catfish and jalapeno hush puppies as well and really enjoyed both. Overall, another meal that makes me miss the south. Special thanks again to our server as well! read more

I've visited the Craft Breakfast Club three times as of today 11/1/20 and as the food is delicious and creative the service has been friendly but very slow and spotty. It's difficult to get coffee refills and as a single diner I felt ignored each time. I notice that they interact better with the obvious frequent diners. Perhaps if they would focus on each diner the same and show each diner whether new or frequent they would attract more frequent business. I do make a point to stop in to dine when I'm in the area but I don't believe the service will give me a reason to make a special visit just for breakfast. Hopefully these are just growing pains they are experiencing and in the future the service will get better fir the single diner to not be ignored I will be back to enjoy thier delicious food when I'm in the area though! read more

Did you know Craft Grill does brunch on the weekends? I didn't! And it's scrumptious! I have been here for dinner plenty of times and it has never let me down. I was on the hunt for chicken and waffles close to home and I think I've found my new spot for them! The chicken has a kick to it, but it complements the sweetness of the syrup and waffle. You don't have to worry about getting your hands messy digging into the chicken because it's all boneless. I was going to order a regular mimosa but the mimosa flight they offer caught my eye. It is SO good! I can't remember all the flavors they give you, but I can tell you that they're all very tasty! read more

This place is a gem but not so hidden any more !I literally eat out every meal and I've been to many great restaurants around the world and the menu and world class food recipes makes this casual dining experience one of my new faves. Today I had The blackened salmon " below the border " and it was perhaps the best prepared salmon dish I've ever eaten. Some other features here that are both unique and tasty are the brisket omelettes and the deviled eggs. My daughter has been wanting to eat at Craft Grill all day so we decided to do call ahead after I got home. Called at 5:40pm for 6pm call ahead. When we arrived there was one couple waiting ahead of us, and we were informed there was a 20-25 minute wait. We frequent both locations, but obviously call ahead means nothing. If you can honor call ahead, don't bother doing it because people don't call ahead to wait 25 minutes. When we asked the hostess what the point of call ahead she just stared at us with no answer, so we left. On a positive note, I guess it's good that Craft Grill has so much business during this difficult economy that they don't need ours anymore. Not sure if we will be back since we drive 20-30 min to get there and always did call ahead. Now we have to wonder if we will have the same experience in the future. Take aways- restaurant is doing great and busy, call ahead is worthless. Only go if you have time to wait. read more

Good food and great atmosphere. They have just about 50 (official guesstimation) TVs throughout the restaurant. An ideal place to watch a Rockets/Texans/Astros game. The happy hour menu seems awesome but unfortunately we missed it. My partner and I got 3 dishes, the deviled eggs, nachos and crab cakes (the special). The deviled eggs and nachos were great but the crab cakes ($16) were a bit on the bland side. Service was a little lacking as we only saw our waiter for our order and check. It got a little annoying having a flag somebody down for drink refill every time but I'll just chalk that down to an off night. Would definitely come back for a second visit and happy hour. read more

Ordered pick up for dinner. The food was ok, but my chicken fried steak was literally paper thin and a little burnt. We ordered two 16 oz margaritas...one flavored. When we went to pick up the order we were given 2 plain frozen margaritas in bottles that were filled to the top. The staff went to fix the order and then we were given two bottles with about 8 oz of liquid in them. The restaurant says this is how they come apparently. Upon getting home and tasting them, neither tasted like there was alcohol in it. The manager said she would refund the margaritas but we shall see. If I wanted flavored syrup with lime juice, I could have made that at home for far cheaper. Very disappointed in Craft Grill to go service and will not order from here again. we decided to stop in for a few drinks the server we had took foreverrrrrrrr to bring our first round of drinks. Finally finished my first drink and asked for a second drink 30 mins later and still no second drink .. instead the server came by empty handed and said "oh... you still need your..." I said don't even worry about it now we will just get our check . Doesn't even apologize or say why it took so long or admit that she forgot about my drink... gave us the check and left us with the machine to pay and just walked off saying have a good night. Horrible service , we were also wanting to really try the banana pudding but glad we didn't even order that cause that would of never showed up either. Wasted so much time here. This review is for the Craft Grill Breakfast Club It is a separate facility but in the same building with, and run by the same people as, Craft Grill, and Yelp saw fit to merge the reviews. The Breakfast Club opened just before Covid-19 hit. I stopped in the other day for a late brunch and sat out on their patio. They have four outdoor tables in a very attractive sitting area, lots of plants and quality furniture. The staff all wear masks and are cleaning aggressively, so I felt very safe. The restaurant is saving paper by directing you to the online menu when you eat in. I ordered Jamie's Hash (they pronounce it Jaime's) and a cup of coffee, with a side of Millionare bacon. The coffee came promptly and was quite good. Jamie's Hash is a combination of home fries, queso, cheddar, pico de gallo, brisket, and an egg done your way. The potatoes were done perfectly, nicely crisp on the outside and tender inside. The brisket was not real smoky but it was done very well and quite tender. All the ingredients combined well. A dish I can definitely recommend. If you took it home it would be OK if it traveled quickly, otherwise the potatoes probably lose the crunch, but it would still be good. The Millionaire bacon was excellent and would travel just fine. It is not crisp and does not need to be, though it did bite through well. It's bacon seasoned with maple syrup (I think) and red pepper flakes, so it is quite spicy but delicious. We have been to Craft Grill before so I avoided the biscuits and the chicken and waffle--possibly the Breakfast Club does them better than the main. Have heard great things about the avocado toast. Overall an excellent, professional establishment, I will gladly come back again. read more

We were looking for a place that had outdoor seating (with heaters) and that was also dog-friendly. NAILED IT with this place! We ordered the pretzels, nuts & berries salad, and Australian seabass. All were excellent! We were so hungry and it all looked so damn good so unfortunately I didn't get any photos like I'm normally very good about doing. Nathan was our server and he was outstanding. He had a lot of knowledge and recommendations about the menu, and when he didn't know the answer to a wine question I had (which Riesling was drier), he brought me samples of each. Then, to top it all off, he offered my dog (who was eating his dinner that I brought) a treat for dessert. He came out with a WARMED PLATE of two bone-shaped biscuits that were also warmed! Relaxing atmosphere, food is prepared to the perfection. Everything comes out in timely manner with flavors and presentation that are on top level. Server was attentive and very polite. I had: Chicken tortilla soup as an appetizer Breaded chicken sandwich with gouda grits as side. (Probably best chicken sandwich I ever had) and Banana pudding for desert 10 out of 10 My husband had Pork sliders and Signature burger, both of his dishes were very greasy.
