First off new trivia people aren't the trivia kings but they are exceptional as well. The start time is actually 7pm which is nice because that's what it says on their website. They also have a cool belt for the winners apparently next week the winners get to have it on their table looking forward to seeing how that plays out. I ordered a salmon Caesar here and it was pretty atrocious. You can see the photographic evidence that I've submitted. Look at the salmon; it tastes horrible and salty. I'm guessing it's frozen. No dressing on the salad or included on the side. Croutons taste stale and bitter. Never experienced a nasty crouton before. I'm probably going to give it to my cat for dinner & I'll just make a quesadilla for myself instead. Thanks Jeremy for the response. While they have quite a nice selection of beers, the service today was awful. We were seated and then waited at least 15 minutes before anyone took our drink order. We each got two rounds of beers, but the second time the server mixed up the beers completely and by the time someone came around to check on this round the beers were halfway done. Also, we ordered the pretzel and the menu said the beer cheese came with it, however the check included an extra price for the cheese. Buyer beware, the service ruined our experience and we will not return. read more

Where to begin. Been going here for almost a year, my friends have been coming here for 6 years and it's gone down the gutter. Understaffed, inexperienced workers. The only food that is worth the price is the bowls. This has been going on for the last few months. One friend ordered 6 different beers only to be told they were out of stock (in a row, nonetheless). Then the trivia has been changed. It's no longer Trivia Kings at 7:30pm but Trivia All Stars at 7pm (not only was this not mentioned on the website....Trivia Kings hosts showed up only to be told they were fired and were replaced because they were not bringing in a large crowd. It couldn't be the staffing issues, overpriced food, and less beer options/sarcasm. The fact that Trivia Kings were not notified of termination and were already replaced really doesn't sit well with me). As if that wasn't enough, the Trivia All Stars invited teams from other locations to come to give the illusion that they brought in a lot of people to trivia at an earlier time that just so happens to be the same time as Happy Hour ends. Very suspicious there. There were maybe two teams that were known there and the majority were new teams. Also, how long are these new teams going to keep showing up if the main issues from the bar are not resolved? Because in all the months of trivia I have went to, I have never saw people leave that place so quickly until tonight. And I am willing to bet the old teams didn't bother to show up because of the issues I mentioned before. read more

Very disappointed with some of the staff. I I have been a here a few times now starting this past month and went recently when it was a UFC fight night (8/19/2023) after 10 PM. This was my second time this summer I was there for a UFC fight night with friends visiting from out of town. The female, I believe assistant manger, Asian Indian woman, black hair, usually dressed in more professional outfit, approached my friend (our DD) that was with us and asked if he was drinking anything and he said no. She told him he had to leave if he wasn't ordering anything even though he said he was with us and we were having drinks. I immediately finished my drink and went to the bar to close my tab (because of this) and asked to speak her boss or her is she was the most senior employee currently working. She had gone into the kitchen when I was approaching the bar. She never came out to speak with me and one of the other bartender/server I believe noticed that I needed to speak with someone (or someone told him) and spoke to with me instead about it. He was also the one that served us. I explained that they should encourage people getting home safely and that he is our DD. I said I didn't see anything posted and he showed me the little(of course) sign that says a 20$ minimum per person on fight nights. He asked what they should enforce. And I told them if necessary to enforce a cover charge. I understand that they its a business and they want to make money off the fight. I appreciate his effort to help and actually talk to me unlike the female asst. Manager, but I'm the end he was still no real help. I had only gotten one drink at that point and spent $10 and no one was holding my tab open and telling me I had to spend $20 before I could close it. And my other friends with us ended up closing their tabs and not spending $20 either because we're only able to have one drink by the the time this happened. This also should have been something that the serve/bartend mentioned to us. When he came by to check on us, 5-10 mins prior, and my friend wasn't getting a drink he didn't say anything. When the Asst. manager told him he needed to leave she didn't explain the $20 minimum per person either. Overall disappointed because I did enjoy the more casual atmosphere of the place compared to the other bars in Reston Town Center. Also there are clubs out there that sometimes may choose to not charge DDs a cover. No that if they enforced a cover at Crafthouse that I would expect that but it is appreciated nonetheless when establishments do that. The lack of professionalism as well from the her to not speak with me spoke volumes. The place had mostly all the tables filled but I wouldn't not say it was crazy packed/busy where she couldn't take a couple of minutes to speak with me. I get socially anxious sometimes and this the was the first time I have ever experienced something like this at a bar and the first time I asked to 'speak to the manager'. Also the first time I have ever left a review for an established and felt the need to stand up for my friend who was doing a very responsible thing that night. read more

Was here to meet up with friends and got some decent food, great beer, happy hour, good people that like thrifting, and trivia night! Check out the tots! Comes with beer cheese and yumminess. The food choices were a bit sauce heavy, and would be nice to have a larger rotation of drafts for Happy hour. Really nice outdoor seating with covered awning and TVs. Definitely will be returning. Not amazing, not bad either. Everything basically feels like it did with World of Beer, really similar menu too. The soft pretzel was very tasty, the fries were only alright. Staff were all very friendly, but service got very slow once the restaurant filled up. For a beer and the game it'll do the trick. read more

I'm actually really impressed with the re-brand. The food is much better than WOB. The beer offerings are plenty, local, and delicious. I would recommend hitting happy hour, they have great specials. I highly recommend the tuna tacos! I look forward to visiting as Crafthouse grows into their own. I think this re-brand gives them the opportunity to form great relationships with the local breweries and show off what NOVA and the surrounding area has to offer. read more

We love coming here and typically, the bartending is efficient and energetic. However, our past couple of visits this week have been less than stellar. New management appears to be cracking down on long term and dedicated staff, rather than focusing on customer experience and food quality. Specifically, current server, Steve, is no longer available in his previous capacity and previous servers Justin, Hannah and others have moved on due to the changes. Management changes cause disturbances and are necessary but this place should focus on retaining customers who appreciate the service they have been happy with despite obvious flaws and build on relationships. read more

For the price, this is a hard pass. Ordered Burgers, Onion rings and tots. The Burgers had absolutely ZERO seasoning. Bland, no taste at all. I can't believe they charge what they do for the one of the worst burgers I've ever had. The rings were ok...Tots are "aggressively mediocre". Reston Crafthouse is a tremendous experience and always somewhere we go every weekend! Jeremy is the best host and manager we can always count on. His staff of bartenders Steve Webb Delaney Schulte and Scotty are the reason we keep going back. It's a home for us and can't be thankful or grateful enough for them. They've treated every friend or family member we've brought in there like their own. The food and beer just make it that much better! Crafthouse is an overpriced, shady disappointment. Not only are the drink prices inflated above a reasonable level, but gratuity was added to all checks without it being requested. Yet despite the extra "fees", there was still a tip line included if you'd like to unwittingly double your tip. And while Crafthouse is a bar, food was still subpar. Why offer any if no pride or consideration will be used by the kitchen staff? The sole extra star is for their willingness to host large groups- but think twice about bringing any group if you aim to impress. read more

Most of our work happy hours have been at Crafthouse. Although the servers get quite confused with orders, we do often flood them with orders that would be difficult to keep straight. When coming in a smaller party, the service has been good and the food is better than what I expect at bars. The happy hour beers are also a good value for being in RTC. read more

I used to like this place. I've gone here many, many times. It's a decent spot to go for a few cold beers. The food however, is a completely different story. In my previous visits the food was actually pretty good. It has been on the decline though and my dinner last night was SO bad that I felt compelled to write about it here. How such things as the big pretzel and a flatbread pizza could be SO bad is a mystery really. The pretzel has hot when it came out, but it was incredibly stale. I've had softer pretzels out of the bag. The loaded tots were decent. The flatbread pizza? Holy crap. It was atrocious. It was grossly undercooked and soggy. It was disgusting. My wife jokingly called it pizza soup. I have to say, after eating here dozens of times, I'm not sure I can bring myself to do it again. There are plenty of other places in Reston Town Center to grab a bite to eat. If this place doesn't get its act together, I don't see it lasting very long. Two stars is generous here. Probably one of the worst spots in Reston. Staff could care less about customers, food is awful and they seem to be out of everything. They just need to shut this place down. Our server didn't card, luckily I don't work for the abc. The food was just dropped off, didn't ask if we needed anything else. Was served stale chips with my dip , took forever to get a substitute, and it wasn't even busy! I would take your money elsewhere. Upon arrival to Crafthouse, once making a drink order I was asked to start a tab. I said yes, asked for a credit card, slid the card and returned my card and said thank you. I began to review the food menu to order food. I ordered food and 30 minutes later, I asked about the food and was told, "oh my god, I thought you guys already ate and done." After running to the kitchen to check, returning with tator tots that we never ordered and told me that he was taking the food off of our bill and it will right out. The shrimp came and the lights are on and said we are closing. I asked for our check and waiting like 15 minutes and asked again for our check to leave, and said put it in the card I already gave you. Keep it in that. Oh, I don't have your card somehow on file. We don't hold customers credit card information, that's against the law to keep sensitive details like that. I need your card again, it's not showing in the system. What did you do with my card originally I said? While none of this is making sense and getting more and more confusing and upsetting for me being treated with ignorant remarks and wasting my evening! Then told your card is declined, do you have another one? No, it's not declining ...... it's your system. The same card was going to the ATM for cash and walked to the atm with a "bouncer" and or security guard REQUIRED BY THE WOMAN AT THE BAR AND SHE SAID, you are not leaving until I have your $46.00 and some odd amount of change. I never have been treated so rude EVER stating that I didn't have any money to pay my check, then to get to the atm embarrassed and escorted in-front of the entire public as a criminal/ non paying client by a stranger that I didn't feel comfortable going with but forced to. Once at the PNC BANK ATM, $100.00 came out of the machine to go back and the lady which is not a lady by any means stated my check card is old.......... that's the problem. My check card is maybe 4 months old from my bank. She was meaning something else and I did t appreciate it. I didn't know what to think as a 37 yr old business woman harassed!!!! "That's your problem, your holding me up from going home", I was told repeatedly! I have lived here my entire life and sooo angry, upset , and ruined my valuable Saturday night off including what the public thinks of me that I do transact business with as well. I am a business women and the area manager: Jeremy sundheimer was unapologetic and nasty. I was told to shut up by the woman bartender and then asked for my check card again to see if it could be processed again since I was asking for the declined details to charge me again for a 2nd bill to double the amount. PLUS I HAD TO PAY FOR THE APPETIZER THAT THE BARTENDER-SAID OHHH IT'S COMING AND IM TAKING IT OFF YOUR CHECK. Oh my god, previously he had to box my food up and said it was no charge. This is a great place for grabbing drinks, watching games, and listening to live music on the weekends. There is a certain smell that's come up recently that really bothers me and I can't stand anymore. This is the only thing that's keeping me from wanting to go there. Service, food, drink, everything was great! We had a big work happy hour over the weekend, and not only was everything on point but the service was amazing. Hannah, Ricky, Steve and everyone else on staff took amazing care of us WHILE taking good care of the multiple customers that were already there. Eh, just your average loud, quick, decently priced restaurant with some interesting menu items (think crunchy peanut butter on your burger) along with classic bar faves. I got a grilled cheese and fries which was entirely too cheesy, I never in my life thought I would ever have to say that. It oozed cheese and normally I would love it, but honestly it was more than I could handle, my cholesterol levels were in danger. Anyways, it was a Saturday night and they had a cover band that was super loud so it was impossible to hear what my friends were saying. It was pretty mediocre, and my group agreed. Beers are expensive but it is in town center so you can't really expect anything else, there is a good list of beer on tap that changes every time you go there so it's always something new. Our first time in the server messed our order up and I ended up with the turkey club which was awesome and I told him I'd eat it anyway.. the manager came over and apologized and took it off the check even after I said it was fine because it's pretty delicious. Meh. I wish I liked Crafthouse more because they have a lot to offer. But 3/5 times, the experience falls flat. The restaurant is very sizable and has a large bar, which is a major draw on weekends, evenings and happy hours. It is usually "seat yourself" which ultimately leads to some slow service initially. Bar service tends to be a lot better, especially from the seasoned bartenders who have worked there for quite some time. On weekends, there are a lot of good deals, especially on game day when pitchers are 25% off. They have daily weekday specials, and their happy hour even extends til 9 PM, which is significantly later than most in the area. The happy hour has rail cocktails and a handful of your standard beer and wine options. My recommendation. Is to stick to beer here - in my "vodka only" days I'd always get a vodka tonic, and immediately regret it. Whatever liquor they use as rail is pretty awful, so if you want something better you're always paying an up charge and may as well get beer instead. They also have a few HH appetizers - Mac & cheese balls and fried pickles for $6.50 and half order of nachos or loaded tots for $7.50. The nachos and Mac & cheese balls are pretty average, but the tots are great! They truly are loaded - I only wish they had more cheese on them. The menu is rather extensive, for both beer and food, but I wish more of it was better. Since switching from WOB, the beer list has changed drastically and prices have definitely gone up. The food menu is huge, with little of it impressive. If more of it was good, or there was a smaller, more concrete menu, I could consider upping this review a star, but the it just has not represented well. Of the appetizers, there's a good bunch for sure - pretzel with beer cheese, loaded tots, to name a few. The buffalo chicken dip is tasty, just completely overcompensated by the bread bowl it's served in. The wings are on point, and Crafthouse boasts a decent variety of flavors. They've started serving tacos as of late as well, but they are pretty pricey. $9.50 gets you two tacos, while $12.50 gets you three - much more than bartaco next door with far superior tacos. They used to have a pulled pork taco that was loved by my friends, but that is no longer on the menu. And oh, if you want a shrimp or tuna taco, that's an extra $1. It's also very odd to me that the tacos are served with FETA. What?! There are burger/sandwiches galore on the menu, but they are all rather extravagant. The Crafthouse burger includes a fried egg and crunchy peanut butter... another other over the top burgers is the buffalo macaroni and cheese burger. The have some great grilled cheeses, but it's always confused me why a grilled cheese is $10-14 when a burger is $11-13, and comes with a side. I am not sure how this math makes sense. Lastly, they have flatbreads. My friend and I shared a Margherita flatbread tonight, and somehow was both burnt and undercooked. The edges were burnt, while the center was undercooked and extremely soggy - someone thought it was a good idea to put tomatoes UNDER the cheese on this flatbread. It also tasted like charcoal or something similar; as if it had been cooked next to something burnt and inherited those flavors. Aside from disappointing, it didn't settle well with either of us. On weekends they stay open til 2 AM, with last call around 1:30, so it typically is where everyone ends their night out. The have live music on many weekend nights, and the bands are pretty hit or miss, so we try to steer clear of Crafthouse (or stay outside) when there's live music. The bathrooms are pretty gross every time I've used them - sticky floors, a lack of toilet paper, etc. Worst of all though, has to be the smell of Crafthouse. The restaurant always has a distinct smell, which to me is similar to a burnt simple syrup. It's nauseating at times, and your clothes and hair inevitably smell of it after leaving no matter what. read more

I would rate it 3.5 and rounded up to 4. I went here for happy hour on a Friday. The food was pretty good. I got the Crafthouse tots and chicken tacos. The tots were a little too cheesy for my liking and there were barely any bacon pieces. The chicken tacos were delicious though! I really liked how crispy the batter was on the chicken. However, each taco only came with only two small slices. It was mostly lettuce! But I can't complain, two chicken tacos and the tots were both $6 which is decent for happy hour deals! They offer Mac and cheese and pickle chips for $6 as well. When we were there it seemed that most people didn't order from the happy hour food menu. Our waiter was very nice and attentive which was nice! Overall average happy hour for Arlington nothing too special. read more
