HORRIBLE SERVICE AND OFFENSIVE EXPERIENCE! My family went to enjoy breakfast, the restaurant was busy but not full. There were two wait staff and one doubled as the bar keep so understandably the service would be slow. BUT, to be seated for 15 minutes to see the servers attend to multiple other tables, walk by us numerous times and when we inquired who is our server and the waitress said "one of us will be with you" and THE PROCEEDED TO TAKE THE ORDER OF THE TABLE NEXT TO US WHO WAS JUST SEATED!! That was the final straw! We were the only family of color in the restaurant. read more

Went here for breakfast today. Was sat with my boyfriend and asked for coffee. Was told that coffee is self serve. She didnt give us mugs and when I went to the coffee station there were no cups, not exactly sure how I'm suppose to serve myself. Food came and it was terrible. Raw potatoes, dog food i mean corned beef hash. Would not recommend for breakfast but hopefully they have better lunch. read more

Phenomenal diner! The food is great, but what I love most is the service. The staff is so welcoming and friendly, and truly cares about their customers. This is one of the best places for lunch in quincy center, especially if you're looking for a regular joint. The people are so friendly, everything is fresh and cooked in front of you and their soups are amazing (esp the butternut squash). The soups and specials change every day and are great. Be sure to check them out before ordering. I haven't been for breakfast but I've heard that's really good too. Also, there's wifi and even though there's a college nearby that floods the Starbucks and other places with wifi, I don't think the college kids have discovered this place so it's relatively quiet. read more

I'm looking for a breakfast place because my usual place that I usually go is close on that day. So I looked it on yelp and found this place near by and decided to give it a try. The place looks nice. I guess it can turn to a pub at night time. The staffs were nice too, but the food came out very burn. I couldn't eat it all. Pancakes are black and burn includes the scramble eggs (Maybe because I went around 2:30pm which they are closing soon, they close at 3:00pm, so I guess the chef is hurry to go home or something. That's why everything look hurry cooked and burnt). Therefore, I really have to give this place a 2 stars because I am the person who mind about eating (taste of food) more than anything. read more

Everyone on yelp is right -- Craig's Cafe is AMAZING. I always took it for granted how close I am to this place and never gave it a chance, but I just had breakfast here and I will DEFINITELY be back. The service here is great. The staff is friendly and always greets you with a warm smile. The coffee is self serve and comes in many delicious flavors [I had an iced streusel cake and it was perfectly, not overly, sweet and the amount of ice was perfect --not too much where it feels like they ripped me off and not too little where the coffee wasn't cold enough]. I ordered the Fiesta Sandwich and it was one of the best sandwiches I've had in my life! The rosemary foccacia bread was perfectly toasted, giving it a delicious crunch with every bite. Inside the blankets of foccacia was bacon, egg, cheese, red onions, chipotle mayo, and peppers [I opted out and switched the peppers for mushrooms instead]. The sandwich was LIFE CHANGING. read more

The food was good and the prices were pretty average. The decor left a lot to be desired. Also, the cleanliness was questionable. It's weird waitress/self service hybrid. They bring you the food, but you get your own coffee. I mention this because I had to pick through a half dozen mugs before I could find a clean one and even then it was chipped. Also, the floors were super sticky. To the point that when I stood up my flip flops stuck to the floor and I was now barefoot. All this being said, I'd get take out from here to try lunch. They have a pretty big cult following it seems, but I'll wear sneakers next time! Final note, I went into this with a pretty negative opinion considering I tried to go here on Memorial Day for the firs time and there wasn't even a sign that they were closed for the Holiday. This is THE best breakfast place I've been to so far in Quincy. The food is SO good. I had the talk of the town.. Bacon, eggs, potatoes, cheese on a sweet roll. Best breakfast sandwich ever. They have different flavors of coffee, self serve, and you can get as much as you want. It's not the most beautiful place inside.. Just your basic cafe. But their food rocks. We recently moved to Quincy and Craig's has been the best of the breakfast places we've tried so far. The Banana Foster French Toast is amazing. Good food, not great. the sausage on my breakfast sandwich was mixed with a couple of grilled onions that were not part of the order but a carry over from another order. The cheese was missing on both my sandwich and my wife's. Sausage egg and cheese but they forgot the cheese and bacon egg and cheese same missing cheese. Craig's is so delicious that my husband and I parked three blocks away and walked in freezing rain just to eat here. It's that good. The place itself is nothing fancy but the food is excellent (try the Vermont Benedict... Yum!) and the servers are incredibly nice. Fantastic place. Really friendly and accommodating waitstaff. Menu is creative, but also has the breakfast standards. The prices are reasonable, especially for what you get. The iced coffee is outstanding. We had the hurricane (eggs beni on homemade hash browns with salsa and sour cream), simple poached egg breakfast, and the special blueberry muffin French toast. We went for breakfast-sat down at 8:45on a Saturday expecting not a long wait since it was not really crowded. The waitress was pleasant and took our order . We waited 45 minutes for our food of scrambled eggs and bacon, and poached eggs on hash. I asked for my eggs well done, and they were so what runny, while my husbands order came out as fried. This is very disappointing,to wait so long for unacceptable. Cross this one off your list unless you like to wait. read more

Great place to eat! Had a Groupon so decided to try this place. My daughter lives in Quincy so my husband and I joined her for dinner tonight. Food was excellent. Waitress was terrific. There is a good selection of menu items. I was not that hungry so I had the cranberry apple salad- very, very good. My husband had the braised short ribs and raved about his dinner all the way home. (25 minute ride!). My daughter had a chicken dish which she loved but couldn't finish due to the large size. She now has her lunch for tomorrow. This place looks like nothing but don't be deceived! We are definitely planning to return with or without a Groupon and my daughter who recently moved to Quincy has now added another great eatery to her list of "best bets" in Quincy! read more

Didn't know what to expect when coming here. When you first walk in it seems like a place where you just order at the bar and get your food but there is a waitstaff who is very friendly. I got the almond joy iced coffee which was delicious. For food I got the talk of the town with ham. Very good. I wish the homefries were on the side but I bet they could do it next time. Craig's has been our go to spot for about two years now, the specials are always creative and delicious, and the service is spectacular. Tom the owner is warm and friendly, usually behind the counter cooking, but he always takes time to come see how everything was! We always ask for Dave to be our server because he is one of the nicest human beings I've ever met, and the best server! Always making sure we have everything we need and always greets us with a warm smile and and a "hey strangers! Great to see you!". Sometimes the food takes a little while to come to the table, but usually that's because they're so busy! Craig's is definitely one of the best breakfast spots in Quincy. Waited 20 minutes for a seat. My wife and I were sat in the corner. No big deal, but they basically forgot about us. More than 10 more minutes sitting with no one to take our order or anything. I try for a while to wave someone over. Finally I just get someone to come over. They take our order. 10 minutes later with no drinks brought over our anything, the guy comes over and says he lost the order and needs to retake it. We place the order to go now. 5 more minutes he finally tells me they don't have my coffee flavor after 15 minutes of having asked for it. Then they give us someone else's take out order. 20 more minutes and I'm still standing here with no food, no service, no apologies read more

When I lived in Quincy this was the place to go. Best breakfast around! The staff are great and the breakfast is even better. I'm so sad that I waited until the day I'm moving from Quincy to eat at this delightful cafe! A charming and nostalgic small-town feel with a menu to delight a true foodie. I ordered my food at the counter and sat at a window seat to wait. Once construction is over, there will be a lovely view of the park and colonial cemetery across the street. I didn't have long to wait; despite being prime breakfast time, my breakfast burrito came in ~5 minutes. It tasted DIVINE, and was about twice the size I expected for the (very low) price. All in all, I highly recommend Craig's to anyone! read more
