One can never go wrong eating at Craigs. From the service to the food everything is A1. Must try spot. Have not had a bad meal yet.

Made reservations not too far in advance. Took a Lyft so we didn't have to deal with parking and the valet. The food is great! We had the filet cooked perfectly like my friend asked, I had the honey chicken along with a salad to start and one side which we didn't come close to finishing that side. The cocktails ARE expensive. We ordered two from the bar and with tip we were already $60 in before we sat down! What's great is the service. Everyone is waiting on you from your waiter to the busser to the floor manager to Craig himself who stopped by our table to talk a couple of times. It's all like a family dinner. Quite an incredible experience dining here for my mother in law's birthday in late February. We were seated outside and spotted other kids and breathed sighs of relief! The service is laughably terrible, but people don't come to Craig's for upstanding service - they come for good food and the possibility of a celebrity sighting. Everything we ordered tasted phenomenal. I will be dreaming of the chicken parm and rigatoni for the foreseeable future. Atmosphere is not vibey at all. I hate that the mixed reviews on here nearly dissuaded my friend and I from stopping in. We were very excited to get reservations for this well known celeb hotspot and we were not disappointed. Everyone from our server to the manager to even Craig himself who came over and spoke to us made us feel welcome. If you're looking for a quick bite to eat or drink before going to your next spot, this isn't the place. It was a very casual atmosphere and we never felt rushed to order or like we needed to hurry so they could turn the table over. We quickly noticed that it seemed like almost everyone was a regular. We came on a Wednesday night and it was absolutely packed and all throughout the evening, people were getting up from their tables and bopping to other tables to speak to someone they knew. As far as the food goes, I was pleasantly surprised based on the reviews. The chopped salad was DELICIOUS! Would definitely get that again. We saw a lot of people ordering chicken Parmesan so I would probably get that next time. I had the rigatoni alla vodka which was good but there are better pasta places around. My friend got the honey truffle chicken which she really enjoyed. We didn't really feel like leaving since we were having such a nice time people watching so we ordered the chocolate chip cookies for dessert. They were ok but not as fun as the enormous sundae going around with a sparkler in it. First time here and now I understand why it's so popular amongst the entertainment industry. Make your reservation a week in advance! Ambiance, food, and service is great! The bread they give is to die for!! Tuna tartare needed more lime. Branzino and the duck special were great! Flavorful and good texture. The Oreo cheesecake is just a regular cheesecake I wouldn't recommend. Birthday cake vegan ice cream was awful but the vegan vanilla one was good. Plenty street metered parking. Brunch is great here; baked French toast hit the spot. Didn't even know they did brunch as they don't really promote it on social media. Was bummed at first that my girlfriend wanted to come here on a Sunday and I was going to miss football. But alas, we sat out back and they had decent-sized TVs and the games were on. Outstanding service and food. The staff was attentive without being overbearing. My partner kept laughing at the constant refill of water. You will never be thirsty at Craig's. I got the salmon he got the short ribs both were delicious. We were so full we had no room for desert. My only "complaint" is that it is so dark in there and at one point bc we had an earlier reservation, they. made the lights even more dim. I also couldn't tell what the ambiance was suppose to be. I was always hesitant to visit Craig's I've been in LA for a while but usually if a spot isn't rated as highly I usually will opt out and find better options. However I knew I needed to try it one of these days. I can see why ppl love this place the service was exceptional!!! The ambiance was very romantic old school diner like booths but still very chic! With immaculate vibes and great service in LA that means I wasn't expecting much when it came to food. However I was pleasantly very surprised my kale salad had the perfect amount of dressing for those that like to drench ask for more but personally I loved it! My pasta was realllllly flavorful and the perfect rich of creamy and tomato which I love. Being a vodka sauce sometimes it can be too creamy but the elements of fresh tomato really stood out which I loved! The can't figure out which was my favorite the complimentary bread or the dessert! I love how they gave out bread bc no one does that anymore and it's not just any bread very well seasoned. Dessert I am totally coming back for I got the chocolate bread pudding it was warm and gooey just how I like it perfect for the cold or when in need of comfort dessert! I had an amazing date night with my wife here on Friday last week. The vibe is very cool with good music playing but not too loud. We were sat a good quiet table where I could have great conversations with my wife. The server we had was very attentive to us and was very kind. In terms of food, the complimentary bread was amazing with slight amount of cheese on it. We enjoyed the tuna tartare for an appetizer. For the main course, I had the honey truffle chicken and my wife had the short rib risotto. Both were fantastic and I'd highly recommend for anyone. I was torn between the honey truffle chicken, the filet mignon, and the chicken parm and the waiter recommended the honey truffle chicken which I'm glad he did. The vibe was great! Service was excellent, from the host the our waiter, we had a good time. The atmosphere could use some remodeling but overall a great experience and would highly come back. The owner Craig himself was there too, he came over to our table and greeted us, walked around and did the same to others. He was very sweet! I understand that everyone thinks Crags is the end all be all. Its a fun place to meet up with your friends for sure. But if you're going for good food ... like if you're going to dinner FOR DINNER, I'd probably go somewhere else. My friend had the filet,ordered Medium Rare. It was cooked well/burned. They redid it. But there is nothing at all special about the food. The price is special... especially high. The ambiance is really fun, the service is great, I give the food a 6 out of 10. Here visiting from Dallas and had a reservation with Craig's. We were running a little late with traffic for our 545 reservation and called on our way. T He lady was so rude and said she would try her best and wouldn't hold our table. When we arrived at 6 the restaurant was empty and the host was so rude, you only have until 745pm and then the table won't be yours. They sat us in the corner where the ceiling was leaking so then we got to watch workers on a ladder fixing the ceiling for the next 15 minutes. Drinks took forever, our waitress with black and white hair was also so rude and unfriendly. We ordered the artichoke, little Smokey's, I had a salmon special (it was cold), a couple pastas which were good and then a chicken dish. The food was just ok, nothing special. We didn't get dessert and left after that. Then I get an email from open table that says we didn't attend our reservation, what!!!! The host was out to get us from the phone call, seriously so frustrated. I can't believe people. There is a million restaurants in la that are way better than Craig's. Who cares if lots of stars eat there, I would rather have good food and service. read more

My girlfriend wanted to go here for her birthday dinner. She had had a handful of good experiences with pick up orders and was excited for an in-restaurant dining experience. I drove all the way in from Vegas-I had made a reservation on open table complete with the details of what we were going there for. Upon walking in the hostess complained about working...with a smile...no big deal, but that was the beginning. The crab cocktail was fishy-not fresh. The Tuscan Kale salad was delicious. The glazed salmon was nothing to write home about. The cauliflower purée tasted like instant mashed potatoes. The key lime pie-solid. The service was less than stellar. Our waitress did her job in a very sterile way-as if there was no celebration planned in advance. On top of that there were two armed cops walking around with badges on their chests in full gear. We were told they were there to keep the diners "safe and happy." Strangely enough, the cops had better energy than the staff...regardless it's unsettling to need to have armed cops there in order to "dine safely." Is this where we are? Bad vibes!!! Personally, I consider Craig's overrated. The hostess was rude, service okay. Had mushroom truffle pizza and Rigatoni alla Vodka. I liked the pizza but the pasta was really not worth the price. Called this restaurant three weeks ago to book a reservation for Valentine's Day and was told the earliest they would accept valentines reservations was January 31st. To call back then. I marked my calendar and called yesterday, January 31st at 4:30 pm to be told that the reservation team is only in from 10 am -4:00 pm so I'd need to call back the next day. Despite their website explicitly says you can call for reservations between 10:00 am - 5:00 pm. So that's either a lie or their site has misinformation. Call back today, a day after reservations supposedly "opened", at 10:30 am. Only to be told they are now fully committed on Valentine's Day. No reservations available. There needs to be a better system and the website information needs to be updated to reflect accurate reservation window hours if insisting patrons call in to book them. This is my favorite restaurant of all time!!! They make a delicious dirty martini! Cheesy bread comes with the table and is quite tasty. I ordered the Rigatoni Alla Vodka which comes with prosciutto, parmesan and peas. This is the most delicious Italian dish I've ever had (and I have been to Italy haha). It comes at a steep price point - $36, but boy is it worth it! Also, a favorite of many A-list celebrities! I sat two tables away from The Angelina Jolie! It's a fun restaurant in a way but the food is no great shakes at all. This place is a wonderful little treat. It's in a classy, upscale area of town and has convenient valet so you don't have to deal with parking (side note - the valet left chocolate chip cookies in my car upon return. It was a nice touch! We sat ourselves at a bar table (the area is kind of small, but we arrived at a good enough time - 6pm on a Sunday - that we had our pick). The restaurant started filling up a little later on. The menu had a great selection and I opted for a truffle pizza with added italian sausage, which was wonderfully delicious and actually enough food to take some home afterward. The service was attentive and I had a good strong pour of wine to keep me satisfied throughout dinner. This spot is apparently popular for celebrity sightings, but I didn't see anyone I consider "famous" that night. However, for the food and experience alone, I would definitely return. read more
