I recently purchased a helmet and thought I had already signed up for the welcome discount code. After I completed my order and looked at my receipt, I realized the discount hadn't been applied. My first thought was, "Oh shoot, I forgot to enter the code." That also made me wonder whether I had actually completed the sign-up, so I immediately signed up for the welcome offer. I looked for an option to cancel and reorder my purchase, but there wasn't one available. Since I acted right away, I reached out through the chat to see if the discount could be applied or if there was another solution. Sam responded by email and simply stated that the discount couldn't be applied retroactively. While I understand that companies have policies, I was disappointed by the lack of flexibility or effort to help. I wasn't trying to misuse the promotion--I made an honest mistake and contacted customer service almost immediately after placing my order. Life gets busy, and sometimes things slip through the cracks. I was juggling personal and family responsibilities at the time, and I simply forgot to enter the code before checking out. I was hoping for a little understanding and customer-focused service, especially as someone trying to make my first purchase with the company. Unfortunately, the interaction left me feeling that customer satisfaction wasn't a priority in this situation. A small gesture of goodwill or a more empathetic response would have gone a long way.

Then provided a quick training class on how to use it. Now that is customer service at its finest! They also have a nice selection of bikes and accessories available in the store, and are conveniently located right across the street from Haggen's on Meridian. I have a 2011 Hei Hei. I bought it used but it was in great condition, obviously well taken care…read moreof without signs of damage. I rode it for three years, enjoying the ride and function of the bike overall. The bike got me out of some bad spots due to the bike's capabilities. Why only three stars? The brakes were always on the noisy side, which is a minor issue, partially solved by using good pads. The big issue is that the frame cracked on the seat post tube, near the crank. This bike had no damage there or anywhere else. This is not an area that would be damaged easily. My local bike shop confirmed it was a stress crack that occurred from normal use. A quick internet search show that this is a common area for a Hei Hei's frame to break. This is obviously a weak spot in manufacturing or design of the frame. I contacted Kona, sent them the attached photos and they just sent me information for Kona shops in my area. Since Kona is a premium brand, I hoping they would take a little responsibility other than kiss me off to a local shop. I'm shopping for a new bike now and will not be looking at Kona's. Look at the attached photos. I hope they save you from the same problem I have. I thought about giving a one star review but it was a good bike for eight years. Anybody need spare parts?

After stopping in was always told, no parts yet, check back. Last time was November December of 2021. Told again, no parts. Stopped in today to check as again, no communication. Owner says he fixed it, tried to reach me, left vm and since he never heard, he just gave away the scooter. Told him there was no missed calls, no VM and I was in a month or so ago with no new news. He said he called and left vm, was very nonchalant, didnt seem to care too much. No missed calls, no VM on my phone. And now no scooter. My son is crushed as he has been waiting to ride this thing for a long time. I would recommend going elsewhere. The lack of communication, lack of getting stuff done and how about just not giving away something that isnt yours?? Go elsewhere for better service, better prices and better people!

I called them and asked them about the bike and they said they didn't have the model but I could test ride another one of the size I was looking for. I went there the next day and they were super nice. I ended up test riding another model of the bike I was looking for and they said if I wanted to I could order the bike I wanted they could do it for me. I didn't end up ordering the bike there but I wouldn't hesitate to buy anything from there. The service was top notch. They have a big selection of bikes among accessories and apparel. There is free parking out front.

I thought I would have to leave my bike at a repair shop for some length of time, which was inconvenient because I was only in town for a couple of days. I called Jack's and they said to bring the bike in and they thought they would have time to fix in within my schedule. I brought it in and a very nice bike technician mounted my bike and tried to diagnose the problem. Within about 15 minutes he had fixed the problem entirely! I took a test ride and it was working perfectly. This was a great time saver for me. He only charged me $25 bucks, which I thought was more than reasonable, since I was expecting it to need a complete overhaul. Jack's is a well-staffed and efficient bike repair center (in addition to selling bikes and accessories). I counted at least four technicians hard at work serving customers. I would highly recommend Jacks!!!

You will also find San Juan /Friday Harbor shirts, jackets, sweats, keychains, magnets, mugs and stickers. I found a really nice set of buoyant glass floats for only $12.95 (found the same one online for $40)! Went back a few times to this store to pick up more items to bring back to friends. Their prices are lower than most souvenir shops and the couple who manages the store are locals who are friendly and very helpful. They did not hesitate to recommend points of interests and restaurants to try. They like tourists!
