Not only that, but when Irene and Gus heard it was our anniversary we got a fantastic slice of chocolate cake with whipped cream and a drizzle of caramel!! Whether you're in the mood for a burger, triple decker, shake, a Parm dish, spanakopita, etc- they got you covered with their endless menu at this local joint for the last 6 years. Townhouse is a beast with tables and booths throughout and may (or may not) offer counter seating, has a bright, fluorescenny space and high ceilings. Service from the owner has always been polite and she truly engages in a conversation. Food has been nice the few times we've been here. Eggplant parm is thin (which I like), crispy (but not overdoing it) and served as medallions. A little different for me...the dish is good though. Spanakopita had a bit of oil resting on top when we stopped in recently. Hubs liked his small fried chicken pieces with a nice dredge and crisp on them. I would've had my entire Vanilla Egg Cream if it weren't for that off taste. Will I follow a diner on FB or Instagram? An emphatic no! Hunger warranted a pit stop at this diner in White Plains. As with most diners they serve breakfast lunch and dinner, but close at 9 PM. And they open late for breakfast 7:30 am. Yet the food was good and Jorge was capable and friendly. I had a Mexican wrap, but they didn't have cilantro fresco. Boo!! read more

this place is definitely a 3 1/2 star. I wish I could give it that! We stopped in for lunch and sat outside in the back. Who knew they had outdoor dining! It was a nice area with lots of trees and greens. We ordered a tuna salad wrap, a cheeseburger, a townhouse burger, and a patty melt with Greek fries. My townhouse burger was delicious! It was perfectly cooked medium rare and had nice frizzled onions on top of a Sunnyside egg with lots of crispy bacon. Yum! My mom loved her tuna salad wrap, and the other two burgers were tasty and happily received. The Greek fries were outstanding, with a nice hint of lemon and oregano and crumbled feta on top. Just perfect! Service was excellent, everyone was very friendly and nice. I will definitely be back again. read more

3 of us stopped this afternoon for lunch as we were heading North and needed to stop and grab something to eat. It's really sad they cannot cook a proper medium burger. All 3 were ordered Medium and ALL 3 were WELL DONE. We were not interested in their remaking the burgers as we were on a schedule but we did certainly believe a discount would be given. They did not discount our meal. We won't be back. The only reason 3 *'s is being given is we had a good waiter. read more

I felt like eating out today, and hadn't been here on my own in quite a while, so I hopped on the Route 6 Beeline bus, then walked about 2 minutes from the bus stop to the diner. Along the way, i was amused to see the Gulf station sporting a sign saying they have the best breakfast and lunch in town. Unless that gas station is a town unto itself, they don't. The diner has gotten away from their old multi-page menu, updating to a more modern menu with a single fold, smaller print, and slightly reduced selection, but still carrying the broad range of diner standards. Today I tried the roast beef wedge with mozzarella and grilled onions, and a side of fries. The sandwich was pretty good - it had a portion of roast beef most people would find filling, but a minimal amount of cheese, and onions that were thinly sliced, but too stringy. The fries arrived slightly above lukewarm, and obviously had been part of a large batch that had been sitting with inadequate heat. My serve was attentive, efficient and polite, so kudos in that department. this was pretty much what I've gotten used to from this diner, but it's close enough and the bus ride, for the rest of the summer, is free. read more

This diner is absolutely fantastic and owned by a wonderful married couple that will value your business! The owners Gus and Irene are fabulous and caring. They go out of their way to know their customers and make you feel at home when you are eating at their restaurant. The owners value the local community and have been so kind to provide a discount to all members of our Volunteer Ambulance Corps when eating there which is so generous and appreciated. They are both such hard workers making sure the restaurant is running smoothly and customers are satisfied and happy. Most importantly the food is excellent--I love their soups, salads and omelets are always made well and are tasty. All the staples you would want at a diner they have and everything is made to order and with care. I also often order takeout and the food is ready when promised and the order is always correct. This is the type of local place you feel good about supporting--their prices are very fair and the portions are generous as well. I came here as a suggestion of one of my friends, to eat a late brunch. I order the Western Omelette. The omelette that is made with ham, peppers & Onions, this come with a toast and if you want to add some cheese or hash browns, you have to pay extra. The omelet was very fluffy and packed full of ingredients and was cooked to their point, which gave it a great taste and flavor. Highly recommend this dish. One of my friends shares his, pancakes with me. The pancakes had a good taste, very delicious, fresh and fluffy, with some the honey and ice cream given them an extra touch. I should preface this review with: I'm not a big diner person and I didn't have anything to eat. The three people I was with LOVED their food...two turkey clubs and French toast. My daughter polished off the French toast VERY quickly, and all three agreed they the fries were THE BEST. The staff was very friendly and even coming around periodically filling those coffee cups which in some areas you don't ever see them coming around to do that. I have to say I LOVE that. I have been here twice and had good experiences both times. It's a smaller diner compared to the others in the area, but both times they seated me right away. First time I got a Caesar salad wrap and it was delicious! My sister got a veggie wrap which was also very good. Second time I went I got french toast. What a find! If you love french toast and all things breakfast, this a solid choice! The staff is incredibly friendly, and the owner makes every table feel special, it feels like you're eating at a beloved family member's house, which for me is important, living in a big city can feel really isolating and anonymous. During Covid eating at a restaurant is a luxury, and I'm happy to support the places that feed more than my stomach. The staff was very friendly, but unfortunately that was about the only good thing about our experience. We ordered buffalo wings, an omelette with home fries, chicken and waffles and a side of fries. Not one dish had any seasoning in it, even the fries had no salt! The buffalo wings came out fried with no sauce on it. It only came with a dipping sauce that wasn't blue cheese or ranch - unclear what it was. Did not resemble buffalo wings at all. The chicken and waffles were plain with no sauce (despite the image on the menu) and the chicken was chicken tenders not fried chicken. Again no flavors or seasoning. The omelette was cooked with no salt or pepper and was wet. The home fries were not at all what we expected and also had no flavor. We thought at least they couldn't mess up french fries but they tasted like they weren't cleaned properly, a little bit like dirt, and with no salt on it. We were very upset with how our meal turned out and couldn't finish one plate - but rather force fed ourselves because we ended up paying $50 for a meal neither of us enjoyed.
