I will be merciless with my rating simply for the reason that I don't appreciate being lied to. I was in the mood for something besides grilled cheese and I saw they had an option with BBQ Pork! I asked about it and the hostess said they have the best bbq pork. Alright! But, upon receiving my 'Extreme Fries' I thought my eyes were broken. There was a tray of fries covered in cheese and shredded chicken with some bbq sauce drizzled on top. I thought "no one would say the pork is good and then proceed to serve chicken." So I tried it. Yup, it's boiled chicken. Well that's fine, maybe they made a mistake. So I went to the counter and asked the ladies if they put chicken on my fries. The host said "it's pork." I said "I know what chicken looks and tastes like, THATS chicken." So she turns around to ask the cooks if they put chicken on there and the cook looks me dead in the eyes and says "no, that's pork, but if you want we can make something else". I told them they were ridiculous. How can you prepare food if you don't know what the difference is between pork and chicken? It's either that or they blatantly lied to my face. Anyways, the cheese fries with chicken and bbq sauce drizzled over it was okay. The cheese was hard, but fries where fresh, so it was edible. The tomato bisque was okay as well. The lying was not okay. The 15 minutes it took to make fries with cheese and chicken was not okay. Maybe their grilled cheese is good, but I will never come back to try it. read more

Never again! I waited 46 mins and found out they hadn't started my order. I had 2 little kids with me. I saw a bunch of people come in after me and got served before me. When I asked them why, all the girl said was "sorry" I asked to talk to manager/owner (saw her in the back). Then the owner yelled at the employee. This isn't the first time I have experienced this, and same for my husband. They need to figure out a way to move the orders faster. Perhaps an assembly line. We love Cravings! My wife was introduced to it and within a week she had eaten here three times. The sandwiches are amazing, far and away the best grilled cheese I have ever had. I got the gourmet the first time and it was awesome, the next time I got the ABC and it was even better than the gourmet. Seriously one of the most delicious things I have ever eaten. They have little dipping cups which are the perfect amount of tomato soup for your sandwich. The tomato basil soup is really tasty! I love grilled cheese. As an avid fan and consumer of various grilled cheeses, I can vouch for Cravings: they have pretty dang good grilled cheese. As an avid fan and consumer of various grilled cheeses, I also have some limited experience cooking grilled cheeses. As an amateur grilled cheese chef, my expert amateur opinion is that Cravings takes way too long to make a grilled cheese. Recently I was there for a late lunch. My group were the only ones in line, and yet our grilled cheeses trickled out 15, 20, even 25 minutes after ordering. I'm not sure what secret techniques are being used here to produce grilled cheeses, but a heavy price is paid in prompt service. Due to the less-than-expeditious service, I finished my gourmet (delicious) grilled cheese before some of my group received theirs. I thought I would order a fried twinkie (an abomination to be sure, but it sounded like a delicious one). Minutes passed by and I waited silently for my treat while my coworkers received and finished their meals. Finally almost half an hour had gone by since I placed my order. It turns out my order had gotten lost somehow. I told them to make it to-go at this point. At last I received my treat. I could barley see the twinkie under the mountain of CoolWhip(tm). I half expected something extra for the confusion and inconvenience, but I was not so lucky. We drove back to work and I sat down at my desk with my twinkie-laced CoolWhip(tm). It was passable. Come for the grilled cheese (for they are delicious), but beware the oppressive tardiness. I would not recommend the fried twinkie product. read more

The food was delicious. We enjoyed the Ultimate BLT and the ABC grilled cheese. The $1 dipper sized soup is such genius idea. And the actual tomato soup inside the dipper cup was great too. The mac n cheese wasn't our favorite, but it was still great. Additionally, the staff was very friendly and the food came out fairly quickly. To me, this place can be summed up as "perfectly mediocre." Nothing special, nothing that makes me want to go back, but I thought the food was ok. I had the pesto tomato sandwich and it was fine, but I felt like I could make something myself that's just as good. The soup on the other hand left quite a bit to be desired. I tried both the corn chowder and the tomato soup and didn't care for either. The decor is very odd, it's March and there were 2 Christmas trees (one decorated for Thanksgiving). He gets the Thanksgiving and I get the Swiss Days and we do the loaded fries. you would think with how long you have to wait to get the food it wouldn't make you super sick. The 2 star rating is really just for implementing the concept of a restaurant based on grilled cheese sandwiches. Awesome idea. The reality is much less awesome. The Monte Cristo was soggy with oil, rather than crispy and lightly puffed-- as every good, deep-fried Monte Cristo should be. The kicker was when the order was screwed up, we sent the food back to be corrected and the worker argued with us about HER mistake. When a Monte Cristo was audibly ordered as "deep-fried", but came out grilled, her exact words were "I checked with the cook, and you're wrong." It took quite a bit of conversation with a manager to get a simple mistake rectified. All in all, it left a bad taste in our mouths. Good concept- poor implementation. read more

This hit the spot. I had the Thanksgiving grilled cheese and it was surprisingly good, it had mashed potatoes, green beans, cheese, stuffing, and maybe some other stuff. The tomato soup was really good too. I would get the half sandwich next time, the full size was too much food for me. They have some great cookies that I believe come from her sisters cupcake shop down the street. They have way too much frosting so you can't finish it in one sitting. Delicious though. There is a kids corner area too with a little play kitchen and a couch. It was a nice place to chill and eat though, I'd go back. She told me that the owner had been conducting a training meeting that went late and they were still prepping the kitchen and I would have my sandwich shortly. Much too long story short, after several attempts at trying to get my order and get the kids running the place to explain the delay or offer something for the inconvenience, at 1:05 PM I asked for my money back. Their grilled cheese sandwiches are good, but it takes a long time. I get that it takes a while to cook them, but it shouldn't take 30 minutes, which is sometimes how long they take. Also, the interior of the restaurant is gross. They were too cheap to buy tables and chairs that weren't from a yard sale (or they were going for a kinda dirty hipster theme). It's one of those restaurants where your hands stick to the table, and you'll feel like you need to take a shower after eating here. First off, MASKS! NOT ONE STAFF MEMBER WAS WEARING A MASK. You can see into the kitchen and not one of the cooks had a mask on. MAJOR fail on Craving Bistro's part. Not cool. They have passive aggressive signs all over the place telling you to be patient for your food. It would be better if when you check out they told you how long it was going to be. They give off a fast food vibe but then have signs saying it's not fast food? If that's the case they need to change their business model to have servers waiting tables. These signs are NOT a welcome sight when you're hangry or anytime for that manner. Also, what's up with the random Christmas trees in the dining room? It's June. The staff was nice enough at least. We waited about 20-25 minutes for our food. I had a petite Thanksgiving which was tasty but would've been way better had I not been unsettled about the lack of pandemic precautions and aggressive signs. My husband had the BBQ Mac which he said was fine even though the noodles were undercooked. We ordered a side Cesar salad, (nothing special at all) and a side of their Mac and Cheese. We read other reviews saying it was really good and honestly we don't see the hype. It was fine. The only way I'd give my business to Cravings Bistro in the future is if they mandate masks to be worn in the kitchen, I order delivery or they make a few changes to their dine-in experience. When my delivery arrived, I was woefully disappointed in Cravings Bistro. But my mood improved as my wife and I ate. By the time we finished, I was happily surprised. I'll almost definitely eat there again--but only for the macaroni. We got the cordon bleu salad, tomato soup, and gourmet mac and cheese. My big disappointment was the salad. It's nothing special, and I didn't expect much for the price, but boy was that bad chicken. It tasted entirely unseasoned, and was super dry. Not dangerous in any way, just cooked at the level of a middle-school cook. The only way I could palate it was smothered in too much honey mustard. More, the salad was sloppily assembled. Ham had been unrolled from a bag and lazily tossed on top; all the cheese was in a pile under the chicken, and it had melted together. When all was said and done, the salad was fine for the price, but it was embarrassingly crafted and a chore to eat. The soup was good enough. I'd eat it again. I won't bore you. The grilled cheese croutons they brag about are laughable: they look and feel like microwaved bread and cheese. So with all this said, why do I give them four stars? That macaroni. I could barely get it into my head fast enough. Sightly spicy; perfect blend of runny and sticky; excellent choice of wide-shell pasta that wasn't overcooked. Most mac and cheese is either too bland or too rich. The mac at Cravings Bistro, on the other hand, is awesome. I was craving a yummy grilled cheese so my daughter suggested we come here. She and I split a regular grilled cheese and each got a cup of tomato soup. The grilled cheese had no flavor at all. The cheese had no flavor and neither did the bread. The tomato soup was pretty good although it was served barely lukewarm. One of the best grilled cheese sandwiches you can get in Utah County. The 6-cheese grilled cheese has become my favorite. So many layers of cheese inside but really takes it over the top is that the French bread is grilled with a parmesan crust on it to a golden brown. Makes every bite have this perfect crunch then the gooey cheesy middle. I like to get this sandwich with the Tomato Basil soup that is always available daily and then dip each bite in the soup. The food does take a min but my husband and I have the perfect method, you order your food then walk around the corner to the cupcake shop and get dessert. Then you don't sit around waiting too long. Food takes from 15-25 min. to make depending on business and by nature of making it melt and be delicious, not just warm. I enjoy the ABC, apple bacon cheddar. SO good if you like fruit with your bacon (who doesn't). They have several gluten free options too and it is GOOD I am Gf and many times gf bread is like card board but this taste how I remember regular bread to taste. The pieces are thick and crispy.
