I LOVE THIS PLACE!!! First off I have been DREAMING of coming to this place ever since I laid eyes on their sandwiches on Instagram. I stalked them for weeks but sadly I wasn't able to make it cause I live in Salt lake so I never had a reason to drive all the way down to Pleasant grove... Then one day I became determined. I'm always skeptical when ordering a thanksgiving sandwich from anywhere so I wasn't sure about how this one would be- one bite into it and I instantly knew I had picked the right sandwich from their very extensive menu. I loved every bite of my sandwich, but my soup of the day (chicken noodle) while it had great flavor, could've been a little warmer. If you manage to save room for dessert here I would recommend the chocolate chip cookie warmed up. The iced sugar cookie option was okay but ultimately I enjoyed the chocolate chip one more. The service is slow when you dine in, but so worth it once you get your food. Takeout has actually helped with that, since I can order, do other stuff at home, then just pickup my food without waiting as much. My favorites are the Thanksgiving grilled cheese and their Extreme Mac n Cheese with the pulled pork. Sometimes I only get the large extreme Mac because it's just sooooo good. I enjoy a lot of the monthly specials, but you really can't go wrong with anything on the menu, just choose something with lots of stuff you like on it! Okay I'm going to go and check the counter. I go up and they're scrambling trying to find all three of our order tickets. They go to the back and then the girl from the counter (it's never a manager) comes back out to let us know they never got the tickets in the back and they're going to make us our food right away. 45 minutes late! At this point I'm so over it and I ask.... are we paying for this still??? She said "oh no, we are going to give you a free cookie for this" . A FREE $1.50 COOKIE for making us wait AN ENTIRE HOUR before we get our food. What the Heck. THIS. This is why I cannot stand this place. Every time I go here, something happens and the customer service is the absolute worst. I worked in food service for a decade and I will tell you that a manager, never ever coming out to tables that have problems isn't the way to do it. Never ever comping food (even when it's an hour late, even when an employee LITERALLY eats something off of your sandwich) is the ultimate "I don't care about my customers" move. When the food finally came out, they brought the wrong fries, dropped a sandwich on me (yup) and put rotten avocado on one of the sandwiches. Why does the food have to (usually) be so good at a place I want to say I will never go to again??? Super disappointed with our experience. We placed an order via their online ordering system that said order would be ready in 25 minutes. The website states they will contact you if the time changes. We ordered 30 minutes ahead just to be safe. We showed up after 30 minutes and had to wait an additional 20 minutes after we showed up for our food to be ready. This was at 1:30 in the afternoon, so not during a normal lunch rush. We ordered the sampler, another sandwich with ham and Swiss cheese, and macaroni and cheese. The macaroni and cheese was super gritty and clumpy and not really edible. The sampler was ok, but most had really soggy bread without flavor. We were super bummed we made the trek to try this place as we live 45 minutes away. I am sure at one point it was fantastic, but growing pains have maybe caused some issues. Wow!! Some of THE best tomato basil soup I've ever had. My grilled cheese was also out-of-this-world and the combo was the perfect dinner on a cold winters night. What I loved most about Cravings was how home-made everything felt. It was cozy and laid-back. Not super formal but that made it a great place to bring along our 20-month-old. Great food, but PAINFULLY slow. First I have to start with the good and say that their grilled cheese sandwiches really are fantastic! But every time I've gone, they are so painfully slow that it almost offsets the great food. On the wall they have a sign that reads "When you're asking yourself what's taking so long, just remember it's great food not fast food." But when it takes 40 minutes (not exaggerating) to fill a to-go order for two grilled cheese sandwiches and a side of fries, on a Monday night with a half empty restaurant... something needs to change. I have tried ordering in person and ordering online and both times the orders took at least twice as long as expected. also, the fries we ordered were loaded but when we got them, they tasted like fries that had some cheap cheese sprinkled on top and sat in the microwave for a few minutes, which I could make cheaper at home and a lot faster than a 40 minute wait time. The sandwiches really are good, and I hate to see unique local restaurants struggle, but just be prepared. If you decide to try it out, make sure to give yourself PLENTY of extra time and expect to still be waiting longer than you planned on. read more

My absolute favorite is the Monte Cristo, grilled! I get a petite(half), which is still very filling. They also offer a full and double. It comes with raspberry jam on the side, that I totally recommend to put on! It does take some time for them to make the grilled cheeses but it's totally worth it! I tell everyone to go here! Everything but the turkey was good deep fried, it was like the turkey was overcooked when it was fried. The bread and ham were amazing. I didn't love the raspberry jam. I had a Little Dipper of tomato basil soup which was really good. Those are $1. Not really the sandwich to dip into this. I just didn't want a lot to eat. Overall it was a pretty good place. The only complaint I had was the speed, or lack thereof, of which I received my order. It was lunchtime, around 1:15pm, however they weren't very crowded, yet it took about 20 - 25 minutes for my order to arrive.
