Went to a Mardi Gras celebration at Benny Boy Brewing and they were serving up a menu appropriate for the occasion. Had the crawfish and snow crab clusters. Both came with corn on the cob, a slice of andouille sausage and a chunk of pineapple. To make it extra decadent I added a bowl of garlic butter for dunking. The food was served hot and delicious after a reasonable wait. Portions were good and prices were reasonable. They offer bibs, gloves and wet wipes for the experience too. This past Friday my friend and I checked out this seafood boil pop up at the Weary Livers. The food was in the back lot of the bar which i had no clue what to expect with a long line. The line moved quickly surprisingly. We place the order with Sean and the other cook, the way they interacting with their customers was great. Both were friendly and approachable, I tried the gumbo and the shrimp plateand my friend had the rice and bean, cake and pan of seafood with lobster tail. The portions were pretty nice and the flavors were good. I would say the seasoning and sauce on the shrimp was tasty, my friend liked the cake and her rice and beans. The gumbo wasnt the best. but sean took care of that for me with no problems, we didnt get to try the crawfish since it sold out but,I would recommend hiring them. read more

Excellent Caterer! What a unique idea for an outdoor gathering/party. Staff was wonderful. Food delicious! They cooked onsite. Served at the tables. Setup Brown paper on the tables with napkin boxes. Gave the tables a nice feel of a seafood boil. We had shrimp, crayfish, potatoes, corn; and nice large al dente done asparagus! Way too much food but we all destroyed like we could eat as much as we wanted! Plenty of leftovers (there's a second mini party today). This was for a good friend's event. I helped review the menu and reviews before she selected them. Price per head may seem pricey but not for what you get. Seafood, fresh veggies, paper goods, etc. And the leftovers! Defects would stretch as well if you had last minute drop ins! Great caterer! I think these guys normally cater, but with the unprecedented pandemic circumstances, they had the brilliant idea to open up a pop up shop for people to bring home their very own Louisiana style seafood boil. I happen to be the only vegetarian/pescatarian in a group of carnivores, so I was a little disappointed to find out that they boil the sausage with the seafood. At first they told us that it had to be boiled in the same water even if the sausage was put separately, but then they were really nice and accommodating and found a way to boil the seafood first for my order and keep it meat free! I really appreciated how easy going and careful they were about it. One the biggest heartbreaks as a vegetarian is ordering food that you're really looking forward to and then finding meat in the order. But these guys were so on top of it and it made the whole experience that much better. The food itself was great too! I had never had crawfish before. I've discovered that it's not my favorite, but it was still tasty. What was my favorite was the shrimp. And the lobster. Both of those were amazing. We had the pleasure of having a delicious seafood boil with Sean! He was extremely friendly and easy to work it. We are totally new to the seafood boil concept.. we've only had boiling crab in the past. Answered all our questions via a few calls. He's not sales-y or pushy... overall a great experience. The seafood was FRESH and we were so pleased with how good it tasted. The seafood boil (shrimp, lobster, crab) comes with sausage, cauliflower, broccoli, asparagus, carrots, potato and more. Everything was fresh and you could tell it was of great quality! The sauce to dip the seafood in was BOMB! We also had three sides: potato salad, skillet cornbread with maple butter, and the mac and cheese. All three were DELICIOUS and even more delicious the next day! (we had left overs...!) The potato salad had a ton of fresh herbs and mustard seeds(?) ..probably one of the best potato salads I've had. Sean does everything from the set-up, cooking, and the cleanup. He also provides everything you need from bibs, butcher paper, seafood crackers, etc. No hassle on our end which made it super easy. I booked Sean and his team for my husbands surprise 40th and it was the best decision I made here. Sean was incredibly easy to deal with and the most responsive vendor I have worked with. Any question I had, he answered it quickly and efficiently. We did a small event with Crawdaddy boiler. The food was excellent! Shawn was so easy and nice to talk to. He even offered last minute to bring a outdoor air cooler it was completely inconvenient for him but still went to the rental place and picked it up. The food was fresh and amazing and all our guest were sooo happy. They brought such a great variety of of things between shrimp, mussels, Brussels sprouts, mushrooms, pineapple and more.
