Dine LA Restaurant Week brought me in! From the Dine LA dinner menu we ordered: wedge salad, and they were kind enough to substitute Gorgonzola instead of Kona for my dry aged NY strip. We also tried some additional appetizers: lobster and crab cakes and double cut smoked bacon. Both delicious. For beverages we tried: the doli, blackberry bourbon sidecar, and capital cosmopolitan. Clam chowder pretty standard. Nothing special. Dry aged NY steak and frites- asked for medium rare but got like medium well. Flavor was good, nice crust. The meat was nice and flavorful. Green sauce resembles a chimichurri. Pretty good. Frites are crisp outside and starchy and soft inside. Well salted. But the sauce for fries is lacking in flavor. A simple ketchup would have been better. Ambiance is high end restaurant. It's great. Service was slow for us and they forgot the bread basket. We came for the DineLA experience at $25.00 for lunch which was a terrific value. I've passed by this place probably 100 times but never ventured in. I was impressed with the upscale décor and overall "Men's Grill" steakhouse vibe. The food was generally good but nothing exceptional. We started off with the Caesar salad and the Boston clam chowder. Both were good but, again, nothing exceptional. We then ordered the steak frites and the seared salmon. The steak was perfectly cooked and came with the "stubs" of several russet potatoes. I guess we got the short end of the stick there. There was a really nice herbed mayonnaise sauce that came with the fries and another very good (pistachio?) sauce for the steak. My wife's salmon was decent and came with some broccolini and couscous. But neither dish entered the "fabulous" category. It was my birthday and we were presented with a lovely and very generous dessert of a fudge lava cake and crème Brule. Nice touch! The service was rather lackluster in that our waiter made several gaffs: he forgot about our drink order. He didn't offer fresh cracked pepper for the salad as he did for the table next to us. And he took away my plate before my wife was finished with her course. For a fine dining restaurant removing plates prematurely should never be done unless requested by the customer. OMG!!!!! Went for Happy Hour and when I tell you they have the BEST Happy Hour menu, I am not kidding you. The lamb chops alone were absolutely amazing.... The shrimp and toast was good also but next time I will leave out the toast because it got a bit soggy. The calamari was amazing also. The drink menu for Happy Hour is also amazing. My first visit to The Capital Grille was thanks to a friend who suggested it, and I'm glad she did. We were greeted by Joe, the Managing Partner, who stopped by our table and surprised each of us with a glass of Prosecco. It was completely unexpected and such a lovely touch. As a first-time guest, that kind of welcome made an immediate impression on me and was a wonderful way to start dinner. The dining room has a classic steakhouse feel with white tablecloths, warm lighting, dark wood, and an impressive glass-enclosed wine display near the entrance. I also liked being able to see into the kitchen from the dining room. It felt polished without being stiff. I decided to order from the Dine LA dinner menu, which was a great way to try several things on my first visit. My steak was cooked exactly as I ordered it, and the sides were generous enough to share. I also really liked the variety in the bread basket, which is always a good start in my book. Michael, our server, was attentive throughout dinner and happily answered our questions about the menu. The service felt professional while still being warm and easygoing. The cheesecake was a great way to finish the meal. The brûléed top added a little caramelized crunch, while the berries and sauce kept it from feeling overly sweet. They offer valet parking but we didn't mind the short walk. You'll walk into the lobby where you'll be greeted by the host. It's dimly lit, intimate, and fancy inside the restaurant. There's a huge statue of a bald eagle in the center of the room, the vibe was giving Old Money Hollywood. Shoutout to our server Ronnie! He was super kind, helpful, and made our dining experience really enjoyable. We ordered Brussels sprouts to share and ooooh boy were they addicting! They were roasted with a deep char flavor, not crispy but had good texture. My boyfriend ordered a Caesar Salad, it tasted great, but could have had better presentation to match the vibes of the restaurant (but that's just me being picky haha). I ordered the Roasted Chicken, it came with fingerling potatoes, asparagus, and a nice sauce. Chicken was juicy and had rich flavor without feeling too heavy. potatoes were really good, I try to be low carb but they were too good to pass up! The sauce made the dish. It was creamy, little tangy, went very well with the chicken. My boyfriend loved his steak! I don't remember exactly which steak he ordered but he appreciated that they made it to his liking. Don't forget your wallet, as you're in the hundo range, per person, once that crisp napkin is placed in your lap. Worth it? Yes! A beautiful, beautiful restaurant with a classic (and classy) dining room, private rooms that look very cosy (and were all full when I stopped in for a birthday dinner), and a mile long bar with booths, tables and of course the bar. From the host/hostess stand to the servers to the runners, everyone is so welcoming and friendly. Valet and tons of street parking adjacent if you're not in heels. It's a steak house at its core, but do not sleep on the salmon -- super delicious and you're getting the omega-3 fatty acids for healthmaxxing. Robbie B tip: the happy hour. Came here for my birthday to enjoy the Generous pour with the curated menu. I chose the salmon and it was delicious with every bite. My friend had the sea bass and I tried a piece and it was melting in my mouth delicious and buttery. I live in Burbank and I am so happy to have a nice high-quality restaurant near me. My recent visit was Aug 19, 2026 for my wife's birthday. Before dinner we sat at the fantastic bar for a cocktail. Then we both ordered the Restaurant Week special menu, which was very good. For a few dollars more, I ordered the Bone-In NY Steak, which was worth it. I also ordered the Generous Pour wine offering, which was fun. The wines were from Duckhorn. Their Sparkling wine and Chardonnay were excellent, but I expected more from the red wines. If Generous Pour offered wines from different wineries, it would be reason to visit again to taste different wines. Ambiance 4/5 Located in an office building complex, so it's a little odd to get to. It's from back in the day when a lot of studio execs worked in the area and held business meetings. Inside is nice. The manager came by at the end to check in on us, and they comped us dessert! Food 4.5/5 We got oysters and a crab cocktail as appetizers -- both tasty! I had a NY Strip, my girlfriend had a scallop risotto dish she liked. We shared lobster mac and cheese and some asparagus. For dessert, they comped us a small flourless chocolate cake and a panna cotta. First off, beginning with the end -- that was one of the best flourless chocolate cakes I have ever had. Not too dry, not too moist. Delicious! The panna cotta was also a knockout, just not quite at the same bar as the chocolate cake. Both were amazing. I'm knocking off just a little because I found my NY Strip to be fine but a little bland. Part of that is on me -- I'm allergic to wine and asked for no wine-based sauces. They do have options to elevate the steaks with various crusts and preparations at an additional cost, which is worth checking out. Everything else was really good -- including the americano I ordered and some mocktails we had! The bread was amazing as well! We were celebrating a birthday so we tried this relatively new fine-dining restaurant in Burbank earlier this year. Our reserved table was festooned with foil birthday confettis and a card for the birthday person. Food Complimentary bread basket with butter accompaniment:ciabatta, pumpernickel bread, raisin currant bread, onion bread, and lavash crackers. Most served warm. Appetizer Lobster and crab cake with house aioli. Really tasty! Soups -Butternut Squash Bisque with curried Apples. Aromatic and comforting to a cold tummy. -New England Clam Chowder. Didn't taste like traditional clam chowder. Skimped on the clams. -Caramelized French Onion Soup. Described on the menu as "an original Capital Grille recipe featuring sweet onions, dry sherry and Grana Padano croutons under a blanket of melted Swiss and mozzarella cheeses". Good choice. Entrees We decided to order pescatarian fare for this occasion. Entrees didn't come with sides. -Seared Sea Scallops topped with arugula tossed in lemon oil with Maine lobster over risotto. Beautifully executed! -Seared citrus glazed Salmon with Marcona almonds and brown butter served with haricots verts (French style green beans) and sweet, cippolini onions. Its beautiful presentation didn't carry the not-so-fresh taste of the salmon. -Pan-seared Sea Bass in miso butter with shiitake mushroom and asparagus. Tender but portion was too small for its price. Sides for the table -Creamed spinach and mashed potatoes Complimentary Birthday dessert -Bruleed cheesecake+flourless chocolate cake Service Attentive and efficient Ambience Classy decor and furnishings. Noise level It was very quiet during our visit except for one female customer at another table far from ours who kept on laughing very loudly, and was obviously inebriated. It was so annoying and disruptive to an otherwise good dining experience. Dinner vastly improved the moment she left with her party. Maybe the dining room acoustics is not that great. Very slow service. It took 10-20 minutes just to get our drinks, and our food came out about 45 minutes after ordering. Unfortunately, the food was also cooked incorrectly. They brought my order again and it was wrongful cooked .All my party finished their meal I was just starting to eat . The appetizer portions were extremely small--almost like they came from a kids' menu. We took a lunch break from work and ended up spending nearly an hour and a half here. Other tasty standouts included Pan-Fried Calamari with Hot Cherry Peppers (spicy!), Roasted Wild Mushrooms, and (this was a surprise) Creamed Spinach! Usually, I have zero expectations for creamed spinach, but The Capital Grille prepared it well enought to make the dish memorable. Oysters Rockefeller were good though not remarkable. Lobster Mac was a little flat, but it brightened up after we got some fresh-ground pepper on it. The only real fail of the night was the Soy-Glazed Brussels Sprouts with Bacon. They were sweet and a touch bitter, while simultaneously flavor flat. Overall, the evening was tasty fun, and even the coffee was excellent. Everything described above including mashed potatoes, one dessert, one bar drink, and two soft drinks was $271 including tip. Yes it's expensive, but it's fine dining. White tablecloth. The Capital Grille seems like a good place for a business dinner or an upscale date when you want great food and great service, and you don't want kitchy distractions like dancing waters or an eye-catching flambé at a nearby table. New to Burbank on a corner that has seen multiple failed restaurants, I believe this one to be a winner! Capital Grill has been a long time chain in LA and in multiple states for 20 years. The last time I was at a Capital Grill was at the Beverly Center. I hope the new Burbank location has a forever home as everything was excellent. We started with the ceasar salad, French onion soup, and the prosciutto wrapped mozzarella. All of them were excellent but I'd skip the French onion soup next time. For entrees we got the Kona crusted New York steak and the miso sea bass. While the New York was delicious we didn't really taste the Kona crust. The miso cod was buttery and mouth watering. For our sides we got the mashed potatoes, Brussels sprouts and creamed corn. All were so good, I went back on another day just to order them Togo. All in all, I'd absolutely recommend Capital Grill for any good meal, especially for steaks with family or a work dinner as their ambiance truly works for all situations. read more

We got one with peppercorn sauce and it was extra yummy. All sides were on point as well. Desserts were a must on my birthday so we got cream brûlée and their famous cheesecake with berries. OMG the cheesecake was amazing, not too heavy or sweet. We literally annihilated cheesecake in seconds, so good! Cream brûlée didn't disappoint either..yum! Service was amazing from beginning to end. Capital grille is the third venture at this location within the last twenty years. Mccormick & Schmick's was great and they had one of the best happy hours of all time. We were sad to see it go. Then came Claim Jumper, which wasn't bad either. Now, Capital Grille has planted its flag here and is making a go of it. We came in to give it a try. The food here is really very good. Everything we had, was great. The Plymouth Martini and the Blackberry Bourbon Sidecar were delicious. The 10oz. Filet was perfectly cooked and well seasoned. The Sea Bass was excellent, the Lobster Bisque was packed with nice sized chunks of Lobster. The Tuna Tartare was smaller than expected, but still tasty, and the Creamed Spinach was nice and creamy. Everything was great. The service was attentive and the bar was spacious and comfortable. They clearly have put a lot of money into this space. Kudos to Capital Grille. This neighborhood is not what it was five years ago. There are considerably more nearby office vacancies, and the studios have greatly downsized their operations. I hope there is enough business for Capital Grille, especially since Morton's Steakhouse is just a two minute walk away, and their prices are comparable. I had an amazing experience at The Capital Grille. We had an association dinner lecture in the Hollywood Room of the restaurant which was very spacious enough to fit 25 of us. Staff were friendly and very attentive always making sure our water glasses were full. We were given option between salmon, chicken risotto, or I think it was rib eye. I got the Chicken Risotto and my friend got the salmon. Before the food, every table was given a bread basket filled with several different breads, and oh my they were all so good, warm as if they had just come out of the oven, so crunchy on the outside but soft on the inside. Next came the salad which was very fresh, and I felt had the perfect amount of dressing splattered throughout. The main course though, spinach and mashed potatoes to share among the table and we all got our main course on our own plates. My friend gave me a piece of her salmon to try, it was perfectly cooked, moist, and delicious. But my Chicken risotto was just amazing. I couldn't stop eating because it was so good, so I ended up eating the entire thing instead of taking half home for lunch the next day. Absolutely delicious. Lastly the dessert, It was like a soft chocolate fudge, very rich and decadent. I had a few bites and took the rest home for which I've been having a few bites here and there until it disappears. Tonight was great! We celebrated my BFF's bday and it was amazing. This is a very romantic high end restaurant that has amazing servers and food. The onion bread was my favorite but truthfully all the bread options were amazing. So fresh and so delicious. We both enjoyed the onion soup, their filet mignon, and their creamed spinach. I really enjoyed my steak cut with the additional onions and mushrooms. Just the right amount of red and a few charred outside pieces. Just perfect! I loved it! The Doli cocktail is a simple yet elegant 2 ingredient cocktail featuring high quality vodka and pineapple juice hand pressed by staff. Bread selection with the meal was very fun and loved the variety - there was an onion bread, some sort of sweet roll, lavash cracker-like bread, and a ciabatt-like dinner roll. For appetizers we got... - Calamari: the included pickled peppers paired well, and the calamari was very tender without being greasy - Prosciutto Mozzarella: my personal favorite for its surprisingly balanced taste - Bacon: Thick cut and extremely flavorful For Mains we got: - Gorgonzola Dry Aged NY Strip: the sweeping favorite of the night; the funkiness of the cheese and dry age played together nicely instead of overpowering - Porcini: rib eye that is markedly ungreasy and not overly rich; the red pepper sauce does a great job of amplifying the meatiness yet cutting the fattiness that rib eyes tend to have without overpowering the flavor of the meat itself - Au Gratin potatoes, Mac and Cheese, and Creamed Corn: we each picked a different favorite side dish but they were all delicious in their own right. For me the only thing with these was that with the meat, it was a lot of rich on rich for my personal taste, but it did not detract from the meal ultimately For the dessert the cheesecake was decadent yet manageable thanks to it's ricotta cream cheese mixture that kept it lighter, and highlighted the flavor the graham cracker crust. Parking is pretty easy as theres a street along the side as well as a parking lot (not sure if theres a fee or anything for it though). Had our office Christmas dinner here and we loved it! The place is so beautifully decorated. The staff is fantastic, making recommendations and answering questions. We started with the Crab and Lobster Cake which the kitchen made into 4 small ones so we each had our own. We also shared the Prosciutto-Wrapped Mozzarella with Vine Ripe Tomatoes and OMG! So so good! We had the Doli Martini and it was delicious! If you like pineapple it's a must have! I had the Sliced Filet Mignon with Cipollini Onions, wild Mushrooms and Fig essence, wonderful flavor and the perfect amount of food. The rest of the staff had the Dry Aged Porterhouse, the 16oz bone in Filet Mignon and the Pan Seared Sea Bass and it was all very good. We shared sides of Soy Glaze brussels sprouts, Lobster mac & cheese, Au Gratin Potatoes and wild mushrooms. While I enjoyed most of the sides I do have to say that the Au Gratin Potatoes weren't my favorite, they were to hard and not creamy enough. So I'd definitely pass on them next time. This place is a good option for a nice family dinner. Service was very good our waitress (I wish I could remember her name) was very friendly and knowledgeable in everything and answered every question. The food was good too some things were better than others. We really liked the fries and tuna tartare! I wish the drinks were stronger as well but I love how they showcase the drink menu! The ice cream trio was good too I really liked one of the flavors but can't remember what it was called. I would come back again to try them out again with my family! read more

Capital Grille...what can you say? They make the Doli like nobody else. The people here are amazing, they welcome you with open arms and do everything to make sure your experience is pleasant. Waaait...the food is good too! Love their bone in rib eye and the lobster bisque. Depending on where you sit this can be a quiet restaurant and it can also be a pretty amped up place with worker bees coming in to enjoy their lunch! All in all I absolutely love this place. We got a side of the Parmesan risotto which was a huge portion, and delicious! It was seriously a full meal, and very good! Also got the shrimp salad that came with a very tasty dressing avocado, and the works. This is a great place to get dinner before heading to the Burbank airport. read more

Great service by Ricky the server, the food was good and the restaurant is well balanced with noise and calmness. Food: Appetizers: Calamari was 3/5 too soggy for my taste as it has some chilly peepers on it and the liquid made it soggy and salty. Cesar salad: 4/5 top heavy in the dressing but the cheese croutons made up for it. *Steaks and Seafood: Now this place understands what medium should be cooked like and what medium well and well done should be like! Absolutely cooked to PERFECTION, just a little too heavy on the salt. There was a slight mishap with one of the steaks, as it got the table the server knew it right away and he took it away and came back with in a few minutes corrected. *Sides: Mashed potatoes were delicious, cream of spinach was lacking the cream. Next time I would get the asparagus or sautéed spinach. Pass on the cream of spinach. *Coffee/Dessert: Can't go wrong with coffee even at 10:00pm, desserts were good we were so full we couldn't finish it. Oh the Old Fashioned was prepared very well Overall great experience from the restaurant, the manager game by and checked on the tables; but if you can ask to sit on the tables where Ricky is your server.
