This place has been consistently packed every time I come to RDU Airport. I finally discovered a break in the pattern and got in to eat here. My review may not be your experience and it's entirely based off what I ordered and cost. There's no bang for your buck here. The plus: - Music was good (Gwen Stefani "Sweet Escape" had me vibing) - Atmosphere near the bar is perfect for feeling like you're not in an airport - Server was quick and efficient (tipped him well - Food was hot - Loves the pickled okra that came with my meal The minus: - Pricing is steep for handhelds and entrees - My fish filet handheld was filling but not $28 filling (it was small) - Fresh but lacked flavor - No place to plug in for charging My handheld might have honestly cost them $4 total (with fries). I love Crawford's food, so I was thrilled to find it at RDU. After a long stretch of travel, I wasn't feeling my best and had a very long wait before my next flight. Crawford's became the perfect place to rest, recharge, and enjoy a great meal. Andrew took exceptional care of me. His genuine hospitality, attentiveness, and ability to strike that perfect balance between checking in and giving me space made all the difference. Well I really wanted to love this place. Came early for my late flight to enjoy dinner. Despite everything online they apparently close at 8pm. This meant as soon as we sat down we needed to hurry to order since the kitchen was closing. Nice wine selection but the draft beers were mostly unavailable. The chicken entree was good. The actual pork chop in my order was good but the grits were lukewarm (perhaps hoping the pork would heat them?) and no sign of the caramelized apples and onions. Waitress was nice but forgot our water and everyone was more concerned with getting the restaurant closed vs waiting on us. They said they closed at 8 but it was clear at 7:55 they wanted us out. The place caught my eye as I came down escalator looked like a great spot. And these people Here were Efficient dedicated and committed to food and guest experience. Wow what an amazing burger. This is a great spot located right past security to grab a bite before your flight. There are plenty of tables and the host was very friendly. It is on the louder side and I didn't see any outlets. My food came out around 15 minutes after ordering. They serve Pepsi products. I had the Short Rib and Eggs and while it was flavorful, there were only 4-5 smaller chunks of short rib. We came here because we were recommended to try this spot inside the restaurant while we waited for our flight back home. The ambiance was good. We sat at the bar and our bartender, Travius was absolutely amazing. He was very observant and on it. He recommended good drinks for us to have and food. Terminal 2 at RDU sure needed this restaurant! We had the opportunity to check it out on a recent Saturday morning. Note they quit serving breakfast at 10:30. We got there around 10:15, took a peek at the rest of the day menu to see if we wanted to wait for that, but opted to stick with breakfast because we wanted something lighter. Service was excellent. We were very pleased with the quality, taste and preparation of our meals. I went with a couple over easy eggs with toast. The toast was enough for two people as it was four pieces of nice thick grain bread. I asked for jam or jelly and was brought possibly the best jam I've ever had. Husband enjoyed his Market Bowl with scrambled eggs, taters, arugula and toast. His coffee was good. Loved my breakfast "juice" of a nice glass of red wine. We stopped at Crawford's Genuine, conveniently located right across from our gate--no frantic dashing required. Now, let's be real: airport prices are what they are, so we're just going to let that slide. My husband had scrambled eggs, breakfast potatoes, and bacon, which he said was just okay. I opted for French toast and bacon, paired with a cup of coffee and, of course, two mimosas each for a bit of bubbly travel spirit. The French toast was the standout for me--crispy on the outside, soft on the inside. But the true highlight of our visit was our waitress, who was attentive, friendly, and just the kind of energy you want when you're gearing up for a day of travel. I came here for a quick lunch at the airport. On this day I was looking for a nice escape from the busyness of the terminal, and this nice large enclosed space seated plenty even during peak lunchtime. Feeling healthy, I ordered a kale Caesar salad and thought to add a fried flounder. The food came out really quickly which is important for those trying to make their flight. I was a bit disappointed that the salad was fairly salty, and probably was seasoned with twice as much cheese as was needed. The flounder was served on a separate plate despite the pairing, and after receiving both, I don't think they really paired much at all - I opted to eat them separately. The bill ended up being $32 including tip and tax when it was all said and done - for a lunch salad. Overall, it was worth trying but I may opt for another place next time around. read more

Second time I've been here, and I'm disappointed again. The food is good, but not nearly good enough for the price. And it's not enough food. I had the flounder, which comes with a bowl of sauce that is four times too big, and a small bit of salad. With a starch or a veggie, it would have been fine. Maybe I was supposed to drink the rest of the sauce? I had to go elsewhere to finish a full meal. Service is great, but it is hard to hear over the music at the bar. And they crowd too many seats at the bar. When I'm paying $40 for a meal, at least give me some elbow room. read more

Both of the food items were good but the hummus was lacking enough vegetables (I also wished that it was served with some pita) and the cheddar biscuits that were served with the stew were rock hard. Despite it being a little busy with people waiting for flights he still was able to come check in on me multiple times. I was indecisive and ordered desert first.
