DEBREZINER sausage (in German) or for us Hungarians, is better known as "Debreceni Virsli" and made in the region where my dad's side of the fam grew up. It's often served cut up on the sides and has a richer color. For me, it's a bit juicier and there's more paprika in there. It's more along the lines of chorizo, if that's what your flavorbuds prefer. It's made with sweet and hot paprika, garlic, pepper, and marjoram. If my dad had been with me that day, he'd opt for the Debreziner. After deliberating for a bit, I decided to go with the HUNGARIAN KIELBASA and decked it out with grilled onions, sauerkraut, and jalapeños (very hot, stated the menu).
