I finally decided to give this place a whirl. Parking was surprisingly packed for a Thursday evening, but I figured no one would line up for bad food so I went in and was immediately greeted by 2 hostesses. That's when they informed me it would be approximately 15 min for a table (even though I saw 2 empty tables that just needed to be bussed). I politely let them know I was just placing a to go order. Because my husband was craving pork chops, I ordered the pork chops and red beans and rice. She quoted me 25 min, but luckily it was done in 15. Oh Muh Gawd! It was like a revelation to me. A tiny drop of butter and some garlic on top of grilled oyster halfshells. Toss a smidge of Lousiana hot sauce on and fire it down the hatch. 1 dozen wasn't nearly enough and I can see myself stopping here simply for those. I've also had the crawfish and the king-crab legs. While pricey ($30/lb) for the crab, the measurement seemed approximate (more) and it was more than enough meat to satisfy. The key though to Crazee Crab's food is the spice-blend they use on everything. It's floral yet sweet yet spicy yet pungent. Very unique and definitely crave-worthy. In speaking with Carol, the owner, the chefs are both from LA (NOLO if I remember correctly) with experience cooking this oh-so-lovely cuisine. We heard this restaurant just opened so my girlfriend and I decided to give it a try. Appearance : it's a very spacious restaurant. Everything was very clean and organized. Food: everything I had was delicious. We came in during happy hour, even though the food were just $1-2 off it's better than nothing. We got crab cakes, grilled oyster, and crawfish. The crab cakes were delicious! They came with two crab cakes and they were pretty big. You can really taste the crab in there, like actual real crab. The cost for this during happy hour is $10. The grilled oysters were to die for. Of course a little too expensive... But they are worth a try. The price was $8 for half and $19 for a dozen. We really liked the crawfish. It's more of a California style in my opinion, but nevertheless still good. A lot of people said they didn't like it, but of course it's all personal taste. They had 4 options for flavoring. I got the one with all 3. It wasn't spicy at all, a little kick would of been nice. It was served with a bag in a bucket with some plates. I was confused on how I should eat it, but just deciding to put all the shells on the plate and reach in the bucket for the crawfish. It would be better if they had paper under all of this it would be more of a Cajun feel. Currently crawfish is $8.99. Service : our server was very attentive. She was super nice. It got a little busy after we it there and she was running around like crazy, but still gave us really good service. Sadly I don't remember her name, but she was older compared to the other servers. In my opinion still a lot better than the younger ones. Overall : our bill was quite high, but I wouldn't mind eating here again just not on the daily bases. If you don't mind spending a lot of money then you should definitely give this place a try. I gave this place a 5 star because everything tasted delicious to me, and server was good. Let me start by saying i LOVE seafood; it's an unhealthy obsession really. I've been here 2 times, and I got to try something different each time. I've had oysters (baked), fried pickles, gumbo, and their house margaritas. All of which were pretty good! I'm not exactly the biggest fan of pickles, but the fried pickles were pretty on point. The gumbo was too spicy for my taste, and they put salt instead of sugar on my margarita, but it was still good. BUT THE BEST is hands down the oysters. "Oyster" is in their name, so I wouldn't put it past them to be known for their delicious, fresh oysters. Yum! This location has changed businesses several times. I haven't been here since it was Ginza. I really do hope this place finds success and stays in business though. Their servers are excellent as well! Vivian and Laura are great! Alright guys, about 9 months ago I left a negative review. Due to management and poor cooking. I have been back multiple time after 6months past and the employees are amazing, per usual. I have received the crawfish multiple times and absolutely adored it. It's so good and juicy! The charred oysters have sometimes been over seasoned with too much Parmesan and very burnt but that's depending on who cooks them. I love cheese! But I'd like to taste my oyster with the butter and Parmesan, not look for it. Lol But overall they have done so much better and it's definitely a place to try! The food was good though and it is the ONLY reason it gets 1 star. We had at least 4 people take care of us. Our actual waitress, at best,took out appetizer order and that was it. When you enter into the building there is a waiting area, a bit small but someone will seat you. Once at your table the restaurant is decorated quite well. A few sea animals on the walls and pics. My first visit here with my sister. She ate here recently and enjoyed it therefore thought it would be a good place to have dinner together. I ordered the crawfish étouffée and it was a 5/5 for flavor, texture and quantity of crawfish. The rice wasn't the greatest and was somewhat undercooked but that is only a minor fact to note. Being from Louisiana, étouffée is one of my favorite dishes and this one hit on all cylinders. The spicy level was perfect spicy with a "kick." My sister ordered the crab cake appetizer and a side salad. The crab cakes were lightly fried and flavorful based on the small piece I tasted. The atmosphere was relaxed and there is a bar with several flat screen TVs. The music selection on today was mediocre and drab but that would differ from day to day. The food came out quickly after ordering and there were no issues. The issues came towards the end of dinner. The waiter, "N. H." (to protect his identity) took forever to return so we could ask for to go box, ask for refills (should not be required to in the first place) and to ask for the check. The weirdest part was when "N. H." approached my sister, kneeled to her and whispered in her ear "is something wrong with the sweet tea because the people at the table behind you returned all of their drinks." As he says this he adds "oh, I see I didn't charge you for the sweet tea but I will go ahead and add it to the check." Really?!? 3.5 stars would have been a better consolidates representation of this dining experience but lack there of, a solid 3 seems appropriate. I have been to this location several times, but just now leaving a review. The restaurant is very close to home and the service and food is great. The signature drink is called the Kortez and it is by no means an average margarita. I don't know what all they put in it, but I have never ordered more than 2. It is one of those drinks that will sneak up on you. They are about $12 and well worth the price. Some of my favorite items on the menu would be the shrimp poboy, the pork chops with red beans and rice (very good, I get one grilled and one fried) and the baby boil. This last time, I got the baby boil with shrimp, crab and sausage with the Get Crazee, Crazee hot sauce...OMG, it was soooooo good! I ate half at the restaurant and the other half for dinner the next night. The grilled chicken is also very good and seasoned well. Despite that the taste was decent once fresh lemon was squeezed atop. For the main course I had the pasta with salmon & my friend had a smorgasbord of seafood. Shrimp, crabs, potatoes & some other underwater delights. The sauce on the pasta had a great taste and the salmon was cooked well. Id forgotten to tell them not to cook the salmon well done but it flaked easily. My friends seafood platter wasn't bad either but I will say both dishes needed a little more spice/heat. If your sign says you are an Oyster and Crab bar and you only have crab, I would imagine you would have a frequent amount of upset customers. In the end, the food was pretty good but not worth the hassel. We waited about 45 minutes to even be served. I would have liked nothing more than to pay and go our separate ways, but the checked showed we had been charged for items that they were out of. I've gone 3 times and each time the experience was consistent with the last. Overall friendly, good food but the service can be somewhat slow. The food is good, the restaurant is very clean and the restrooms are well maintained. Keep in mind, there's only one stall for each of the restrooms (1) men and (1) woman. So pace yourself. The crawfish was kind of too fishy it tasted like it's been in the freezer. The sauce is more on the spicy side but didn't taste like anything.
