The chicken is about the best deal you can find, and is great as long as you eat it hot. I do not like it cold. Always check your bag in the drive thru. We were missing some food, it was busy, & there was a guy bringing out all the drive thru orders to the waiting line of cars. I should have checked to make sure it was all there before leaving. When I got home & saw we were missing the catfish, I called Lisa's to let them know. Throughout my visit in Texas, this is by far one of the most coolest and unique business concepts I've ever seen. It's basically a diner with parts of a gas station inside. The chicken here is literally falling off the bone. The price you pay for the food is great. The Staff here is friendly. It's no wonder why the drive thru is consistently packed! The sides are not very good, and I'd avoid the mashed potatoes and Mac and cheese in particular. Maybe some of the other sides are better. Today, I called in a pick up order for a dozen chicken livers, my 96 yr old mother's favorites. The lovely lady who took my order was an absolute JOY to speak with. She was so engaging and pleasant that I hung up the phone with a big smile. Then I realized I'd called the wrong Lisa's location on Pioneer. I didn't even know there were two. So I called right back and the same wonderful woman answered. I was feeling pretty stupid but she could not have been more kind. She even offered to call the other location and place my order! That is the utmost in great customer service. Honestly, if I hadn't had to grab mom from her manicure appointment, I would have driven out of my way just to meet this sweet woman. Based on a friend review decided to give this place a shot. My main mission today was to try their pizza pocket. I have been searching my entire adult life to find a pizza pocket that was similar to ones I had in high school. I finally found one! I'll start my review with the menu. It is huge!! Has unique options that you wouldn't see at a traditional chicken place. We are talking shrimp, pizza pockets, burritos, corn dogs, egg rolls, fried chicken and sides like green beans, mashed potatoes and Mac and cheese. I got pizza pocket, burrito, fried chicken, chicken strips, shrimp and Mac and cheese, green beans and French fries for my family. You order from menu then drive up to window 1 and pay. The cost for all this food was a great deal of 18$. The young man was very efficient and nice. I wish all restaurants had staff like him! Then you pull up to window # 2 for your food. The entire process was about 7 minutes. The pizza pocket was exactly what I was looking for. Fresh and that familiar taste I missed. Will definitely be back for the pizza pocket alone. The burrito was ok but not amazing. My daughters reported the Mac and cheese was excellent and rates a 10. My very picky son actually ate his kids meal with chicken tenders and fries. That in its self is a huge compliment! My husband said chicken was crunchy and had a good taste and shrimp was "pretty good". Overall good experience. The costumer service was amazing and for 18$ for a this huge spread of food was worth the trip. read more

All I have to say is......don't judge a book by its cover. Not being from the area I went to this place looking for a seafood restaurant and once I drove up to it, it looked like a convenience store with a drive thru. I went ahead and gave the place a chance and went inside. Once again confused by the interior set up like a convenience store with sodas piled to the ceiling and a typical convenience store set up with a dining area. I gave my friend the side eye but either way the place was popping with customers. I walked up to the counter and placed my order for catfish and some livers along with a drink. It wasn't overpriced at all. Once I got my food, I was shocked at the amount of food I got for the price. It seemed like a mountain of catfish and they piled on the livers like they were trying to clear out the kitchen. I bit into the catfish and the flavor of the batter was amazing a blend of cornmeal with a hint of salt made the perfect fish. The livers were fried and obviously too many for one persons to eat but tasted good either way. Would I come back? You damn skippy I will come back. This is the best catfish I have tasted in a long long time. Worth the short drive from Dallas or where ever you are. I'm glad I didn't drive off after looking at the exterior. read more

Went here after Church today and purchased a 24pc (mixed) with rolls. The service was pretty fast!! Too fast! We noticed after driving ALL the way to the other side of town, and began to eat, there was absolutely NO wings or breasts! Only legs and thighs. So we called back to let them know of their mistake, and was told to bring the entire order back, and they would give us some FREE chicken for wasting our gas and time. My favorite fried chicken place in Arlington! Maybe it's because I love fried chicken but this place is always killing it for me! The chicken is always moist and the sides help complement the meal even more. It's probably the cheapest fried chicken I will get and the food comes out pretty fast. The menu offers other cajun and asian food like fried rice and gumbo. So their menu is pretty diverse which is not good for a picky person like me but thats a good thing! Its new so its still clean and fresh. The resturuant kind of has a gas station vibe since there are fridges inside selling various drinks from soda to the classic beer. But that doesn't affect the dining experience at all, if anything tempts me to buy a beer LOL. The staff are friendly and know the menu pretty well. I'm an advocate for small businesses and this food is far much better than the usual fast food chains. So yea if your craving fried chicken and don't want to spend much while also having so many delicious options to choose from, then come to Lisa's! read more
