I got the beef boulgogi and it was a bit too salty. However my wife got the pork boulgogi and I thought that tasted pretty good. Also the salad and the rice were good sides . I got the spicy wings as well but they weren't that spicy, they had a slight sweetness to them that I didn't expect. read more

Came here with a good friend, several weeks ago, and had an excellent experience. We started with the boiled edamame pods. The kimchi fried rice, and pork bulgogi were excellent, as well as the small order of fried chicken, with ALL the sauces on the side. And also, the small salad with their killer house dressing was spot on. The server was sincere, attentive, and friendly, with honest suggestions which added to the great service. Despite all the food, we were able to top it off with the macaron ice cream sandwiches, which were utterly delicious. East side Asian, which isn't the ubiquitous western Chinese food! My parents had gone and ordered quite a bit of food to sample a variety of flavors. Upon the food reaching their table, they realized the sheer quality/quantity they had received. My father, being the pragmatic man he is, put in the emergency call to me. I showed up about 5 minutes later and was immediately greeted with wonderful service and food quality. I was pleasantly surprised that it was in fact a Korean eatery. I ordered a ramen for myself to help wash their mountains of food down. In the end it came out to around $150 dollars altogether, for the four of us; however, we had 2 or 3 full to-go boxes for eating later. That can be blamed on my overzealous parents ordering half the menu. TL;DR : Excellent food quality, portion sizes, and service. Dont be put off by the Korean surprise, its wonderful food. read more

My boyfriend and I just went to Crazy BBQ for the first time and from the reviews it seemed to be a great place to eat. I ordered the beef bulgogi for 14.99 and my boyfriend got the beef ramen soup 11.99. When I got my plate I realized my plate was small and he got his soup he had two pieces of beef in it the taste of our food wasn't great either.I wouldn't recommend eating here your better off getting a top ramen for 25¢ read more

Having lived in Bakersfield for almost a year now, I've learned that pretty much every restaurant that isn't part of a chain is likely to be mediocre to bad. I decided to give Crazy BBQ a try because I love Korean food and I figured they couldn't screw it up too bad, and I'm getting sick of Chipotle. I had the Beef Bulgogi and It was actually pretty good (not giving 5 stars because I've been spoiled by the grill your own places in L.A.'s Koreatown). The server was attentive and polite, and when I mentioned that I loved KimChi she brought me out some. (I expected to be charged but wasn't). Price was a bit on the high side for an ambience that was closer to counter service than full service (though they did wait on me), but overall I would recommend it and go again. (Note: I think their name is misleading - it's not until you actually look at a menu that you realize this isn't a ribs and brisket type of BBQ restaurant.) read more

Pleasantly surprised by Crazy BBQ! I love trying out Asian cuisine around town and it was my first time here, it was great. Though there isn't a huge selection of items on the menu, there are some really tasty choices to pick from. I had the (mild) beef ramen and my friend had the bulgolgi, they were both so savory and delicious. The host/waitress was very warm, welcoming and attentive. My husband and I try to support locally owned restaurants especially on the East side of town and decided to try this new spot. My husband ordered the spicy pork bulgogi bowl,i ordered the chicken ramen, and we shared a drink to go. Our tab was about $30.00,a little high for a bowl and ramen. Nonetheless, we were excited to try it. My husband and i both got really sick after eating at this restaurant. I had to take time off of work and we will no longer be eating at this establishment. Tried this place out since its the closest place near me that sells Kimchi. Was disappointed in the food. We ordered the Korean Galbi, Kimchi fried rice, and potstickers. The potstickers were good, the kimchi was okay, it does not compare to kimchi I've had at other restaurants at all, but it had a good spice to it. But the biggest disappointment was the Korean Galbi it had little to no meat on the pieces, basically just bones with small chunks of fat. We ended up tossing and getting burgers instead. If it wasnt for the rice and potstickers I'd give 0 stars. read more
